History

Established in 2009.

Opened up by local comic-​book lover, James Kellar, The Bat Cave has been a fun, eclectic hang out for Conway’s nerds, geeks, collectors, and gamers for the past few years. Originally located on Salem Street for about fourteen months, The Cave was moved to a more spacious location downtown in September of 2010. With ambitious plans to become the premier hub for gamers and collectors of all kinds in Conway and Arkansas, this gem of a store is one to keep your eye on.

Cramped but caters to gamers, readers and players and collectors of all kinds.
The staff are typically nice and polite and some will even work with you on projects as long as you don’t demand too much of their time and every so often you can tell them how much money you have for what you want and they can give you a little nudge in the right direction.
I’m not sure for other card games but their prices for selling cards to them are not very good.

I learned of this place a little over a year ago, and decided to try it out. The staff is friendly and helpful. If they do not have what you want, they help you find it. Their game nights are fun.

I made an online purchase for some gaming items from The Bat Cave (James Kellar). The shipment had missing and damaged merchandise. At first Kellar refused to respond to my emails until I made a formal complaint.
He responded, saying he knew nothing about the things he sells for a living on a daily basis. This makes him either incompetent, a liar or both. He then refused to send the missing merchandise, replace the damaged merchandise or pay for shipping on a return.
Other online reviews say the guy rips off anyone who isn’t local to his store. I wish I had read those reviews before doing business with him. I advise anyone buying from this vendor to ensure he guarantees (in writing) his merchandise and return policy. There is no reason the buyer should have to pay for a seller’s dishonesty or incompetence.
