History

Established in 2013.

My name is Jason, and myself and my sister Heather started Fireside Sleigh Rides in 2013. We have worked all over the country on working ranches, guest ranches, and trial ride outfits and we love sharing the outdoors and horses with all of our guests. Last winter we bought 2 sleighs and decided we had worked long enough for others and it was time to open our own place. We are truly blessed to be doing something we love and we are excited to share a traditional winter activity with the valley.

Just got back from a wonderful trip at Fireside Sleigh Rides. My boyfriend and I booked a private sleigh ride while we were up skiing in North Conway. Its very easy to find and not too far away from the town. The owners were so great, our guide, Jason, has such a passion for what he does and knows a lot about horses and made the ride fun. The scenery is gorgeous, postcard New England winter scenes along the frozen river and the woods. The ride lasts about thirty minutes and they provide you with hot chocolate and a blanket. Afterwards, he takes a picture of you in the sleigh with the horses. The horses, Freckles and Prettyface, are well-​taken care of and gorgeous. We were actually about twenty minutes late and we were their last ride of the day, but we called them in advance and they were so nice about it (and we very much appreciated that.) Definitely go here, they are a family business and they are clearly into it because they love what they do, do not miss this romantic experience if you are in the area!

Husband and wife run sleigh rides. Rides are available for groups, private rides or a romantic ride for 2! When we arrived we were greeted by Jason and told to go into the cabin while he prepared the sleigh. We waited about 10 minutes just long enough to make any last bathroom breaks and make our complimentary hot cocoa or hot apple cider for the ride. The ride itself was beautiful. We were taken across the property where we ran parallel to the Saco River. Beautiful views! Jason gave us a lot of information about how they got Fireside up and running, the horses and the North Conway area. The ride lasted 30 minutes and we were brought back to the cabin where there was a bonfire waiting for us. They had huge sticks and oversized marshmallows for toasting. The sticks were great I was not worried about my four year old being too close to the fire. After the marshmallows we were able to go over and pet the horses and take pictures. Over all this place did not disappoint. It was a wonderful experience and we made great family memories here!
