I have been taking my bichon frise there since she was about a year old, and she’s 8 now. She comes out sooooo clean and white and fluffy, smelling CLEAN (not loaded with deodorizing powders and sprays like many other groomers use). They use scissors to cut, not electric trimmers, and they do a fantastic job. My dog is always happy to go there, so I know they treat her well and don’t hurt her. They have a large and enthusiastic client base, so they are often booked pretty far in advance — expect to have to wait a good month or more from the time you call for an appointment. But if you ask they will put you on their waiting list and call if there is a cancellation. I can’t recommend The Proud Pooch highly enough!

I always take my toy poodle here. He gets the best cut EEVER. He comes out looking like a show dog. Price is reasonable too. Call a month ahead for your appointment because they are so good they are always busy ;-)

We used to bring our dog here once a month and had no complaints. We could call the same day and the owner could fit her in that day or at least get an appointment within the week. She would come home smelling and looking great with her cute little bandana. Oddly, the other month I called (Beginning of June) to schedule an appointment that day or that week and the women laughed and said she wouldn’t be able to fit her in until July. We would have loved to stay with a smaller business but we take her to Pet Smart now. Not the same quality but much cheaper and they can always find a spot to take her.

I have been bringing my dog BB for a few years to Proud Pooch and although I have tried other places usually because I am in a jam on my schedule, I always go back to Proud Pooch. They do such a great job with my BB and she always looks and smells the best when I pick her up.
