Riverwalk at Millennium

Riverwalk at Millennium is a great place to live. In the past year a lot of GREAT changes have occurred, I should know because I work for Scully Company. We have recently added a spin and yoga studio complete with a virtual instructor in addition to virtual active treadmills and elliptical equipment that you wont find anywhere else. The clubhouse has been remodeled to ensure residents have a great place to host events or just relax and enjoy a cup of coffee from our new one of a kind Starbucks coffee bar. Our new outdoor kitchen with stainless steel grills and granite countertops is available all season long and everyone loves our resort style lounge furniture on the patio and pool deck.
In addition to these new and enhanced community amenities everyone is loving the newly renovated apartment homes. The renovated apartments come with Stainless Steel Appliances, Granite Countertops in kitchen and bathrooms, Luxe Plank Flooring, Smart Locks (really cool, use your cell phone to open your door), enhanced lighting, faucet/​shower fixates and so much more that you really need to check it out.
Riverwalk at Millennium truly is the Première Apartment Community in Conshohocken and the Philadelphia area.

This apartment has been a nightmare from day one. After moving in, I immediately realized some shortcomings in my unit. Namely and most importantly, I have no hot water pressure. I submitted four repair requests and each time whatever they did didn’t help in the least. I pleaded with management to get someone to really read my repair requests but eventually threw my hands up and just lived with it. It makes doing dishes in the sink nearly impossible as the hot water barely trickles and the dishwasher is completely unusable as a result of it.
The new management, Scully, is also incredibly disappointing. The manager, Megan Bender-​Yucha never responds to emails and each time I’ve reached out regarding an issue or question I have to end up calling the main office days later due to non-​response. When you call the main office you’re not met with much help either. I don’t believe I’ve ever called and gotten an answer without needing someone to «find out and call me back» or put me on hold for 5 minutes so they can ask someone else. The staff just isn’t informed and doesn’t handle anything in a timely manner. I’ve had to hound them for bills and information just to submit payment on time.
The apartments are nice, but simple and average and the price you may just does not match up with the service you receive. I’m moving out nearly 2 months early and eating 2 months in wasted rent just to get out. I cannot wait to turn in my keys and never return!

Where do I even begin… when my boyfriend and I moved in we loved the location and the promise of better things. Please! Just take a tour and all will be confirmed. Let’s start with the garage in the 2000. In the corner of the garage (Cherry and Washington Streets) there are sofas, yes — sofas. I was wondering why, until I saw a worker sleeping on them three days in a row in the afternoon. Directly outside this «make shift’ living room, look up. There’s a broken gutter dangling! While looking up, did you notice the mold growing on the building. Hasn’t been cleaned — no money. Move your eyes down, see the pet waster container — yep, you guessed it — filled to overflowing. Let’s continue the tour. Let’s walk north on Washington Street, make a left into the main entrance — oh look, crumbling steps. Let’s keep walking. Did you notice the dumpster, by the river? Junk piled outside of them for weeks. Absolutely filthy, disgusting, dirty place! Does the building manager see this? Does she walk the property? Is she allowed to fix things? Does any member of the Shelly family live on site? Would they? Please, if you doubt what I saw … just go for a walk. Has management been made aware? YES. Any improvements? NO! Look elsewhere. We are. If I can safe one person from this filth, this post was necessary. Again, if you don’t believe me. Look around. The proof is out to see.

This place is a disaster. We moved here in June and are counting down the days until our lease is up. The hallways and stairwells are filthy and so was our apartment when we moved in. There was lint in the dryer from the previous tenant, dead flies in the kitchen fixture and worst of all little tiny hairs in our bathroom drawers, obviously from when the previous tenant would shave. For what we pay, that is unacceptable. The stairwells have mold and cobwebs in the windows. I mean come on! Management likes to enter the apartments regularly to check up on things. I’ve lived in numerous other apartment complexes and I can understand yearly checkups to make sure everything is running appropriately. These people come into our apartments at least once a month. I do not appreciate that kind of invasion of privacy. Oh yeah and the other night we got home late from travelling, parked our car in the garage and had to walk up 5 flights of stairs with our luggage because our key fob wouldn’t let us into the elevator. Wouldn’t be such a big deal, things do happen BUT the light in the garage has been out for 3 weeks and it is pitch black… That tells you a lot about how much they care about repairs. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We were locked into our own apartment because the lock was broken and we called emergency maintenance since we could not leave our apartment at all and they told us they couldn’t help us since it was Sunday night. Glad we didn’t have an emergency. Bottom line. STAY AWAY.STAY FAR AWAY. Unless you don’t mind all of this plus spending 20 minutes to drive 1 mile to get to the freeway in the morning :)

Everything everyone says about how bad this complex is is 100% true. DO NOT CHOOSE TO LIVE HERE! Your quality of life and your wallet will be drained. The problem is no one cares. Literally. And they will try to take more money in form of security deposit and MORE upon your exit. They tried to charge us for stuff that we had been waiting 2 years to get repaired since we moved in and little things like tiny nicks by the bed, etc.
Its a buyers market though!
Buy a house instead. Our mortgage and taxes combined on a 4 bedroom, .75 acre lot with a good school district are cheaper than rent for a 11 000 sq foot apartment at RiverSUCK.

If you read my other reviews you will seem I am not one to post negative stuff and just because a person has a bad experience at a place doesn’t always make it bad. This is not that place. This place IS bad. If this review saves one person having to go through the H3ll we did than its enough. I never want anyone to have to go through what myself and so many others have!

If I could give it zero stars I would. The walls are THIN. I can hear everything from the floor above me and the floor below and next to me. Below is a fan of blasting music all hours of the day and the night. Next to me likes to yell every curse word at the TV until all hours and above is elephants. If you tell mangement they say they will let the tenants know, if they do or not it doesn’t do anything.
I am coming from a condo in center city and it was nicer there and we all know how those could be hit or miss.
I am 100% a dog person — BUT People do NOT pick up after their dogs, often finding the droppings in the stairwell. If you tell management they will post signs in the halls… yet the «crap» is in the hall for days.
Parking is a joke after 6 like Brandy M mentioned in her post. I never paid for the spots underneath because I did not want to give this place one more cent but it is an issue.
The gym is decent — don’t go after work but other than that its fine.
The pool in the summer is also a joke — you have people who have saved seats starting at 830 in the morning
Air in the summer doesn’t really kick in if you have more than one bedroom. We have to freeze out one room to get the master to cool off. Windows close but you can feel a draft in the winter
I would never recommend this location to anyone. My lease is up in July and I am already at the point where I am ready to pay the entire LUMP sum to just get out of the lease.

From the outside, the Riverwalk apartments look great. However, it’s like a beautifully wrapped present with nothing inside. These apartments were built very quickly after they burned down several years back and I’m pretty sure they used cardboard to build them. You can hear EVERYTHING going on in your neighbor’s apartments. My guess is that the people who have rated this so well either just moved in or have very quiet neighbors. We made the terrible mistake of picking a 2^nd floor apartment rather than a 4^th floor (prices increase per floor). It sounds like Godzilla mated with an elephant and the resulting offspring lives above us. We’ve complained many times and nothing has ever come of it. We’ve had 2 different tenants living above us and both have been unbearable to live with. I say «with» because it’s basically like living in one big house with people who you don’t know. While I do believe that they walk louder than normal, it doesn’t help that the walls and ceilings are so thin that you can hear people talking, sneezing, vacuuming, doing laundry, etc. Our neighbors downstairs have 2 small kids and we hear them crying ALL THE TIME. As I’m typing this email there’s pounding going on upstairs. No idea why or who. I don’t bother asking these questions anymore. We are moving out as soon as our lease is up. Management also appears to be very friendly and helpful. But they rarely actually resolve anything and in the 2 years we’ve been here, we must have seen at least 10 different people working in the office. Emails constantly come from different people and you have no idea who they are. My guess is that the turnover is so high because they receive so many complaints that it’s a terrible place to work.
A couple of other fun facts about living here. I suppose because of the big fire that happened here, they built everything to be extra sensitive. As soon as we moved in here we attempted to cook bacon in the oven as we always have. Within minute the apartment fire alarm goes off. And it’s loud too. You have to sit there fanning both alarms until it stops. We learned very quickly that you cannot cook bacon or even frozen pizza in the oven anymore. Microwave it is. We also hear our neighbor’s fire alarms going off ALL THE TIME. Now as far as the building alarms, those have gone off probably 6 times in our building over the past several months. Every time it is not a fire but something wrong with the building. Bursted pipe, false alarm, etc. It’s fun to be woken up at 2am by an alarm so loud that you think the apocalypse has begun. Then, after gathering some of your belongings you stand outside while the fire department arrives and figures out for the nth time that nothing is wrong. Usually you’re outside for at least a half hour. Fun with this winter we’ve been having. I’ve seen it happen in all 4 buildings this winter. You would think that when these things happen over and over that maybe management would give a discount on rent for the major inconvenience. But all you get is a lousy email barely apologizing.
As I said, we’re moving out as soon as our lease is up. I also agree with others who said the rent keeps increasing. We have a 2 bedroom and you can find 2 bedrooms for much, much cheaper in the area. Trust me, we’ve been looking. We decided to pay more here because they advertise these as «luxury» apartments. You’ll only find this place luxurious if you’re on the outside looking in.

I live here now and there are parts I like and hate. The apartment is beautiful looking but cheaply made. The walls are so thin that I can hear everything that goes on above me. When the people walk it sounds like a heard of elephants and if they sleep on the couch I can hear snoring. Not only that but it there has been non-​stop construction on the building next to me. Apparently they to are cheaply made and had to have extra siding put on so no more moisture got in. As for outdoor parking forget trying to find spot after 6. I would pay the money for underground secure parking. Water pressure and heat are not great either. I also don’t like the fact they charge the same amount for cat or dog. Previous apartments just had a pet deposit for cats. The residents all seem very friendly which is a plus. Overall for what I am spending here (more than center city for same bed/​bath) it’s not worth it unless you live on a top floor or don’t mind thin walls

I live here now and love it. My lease is up at the end of January and I’ve already renewed. Great location within walking (stumbling) distance to a ton of places (Pepperoncini, Isabellas, El Limon, Boathouse, Great American Pub, Spamps, many others) and the walk home is always downhill! Also right on the Valley Forge biking/​running path and the river.
The staff is outstanding and ready to help. The few minor maintenance issues that I’ve had were addressed same day. Garage parking is available for a low price and it’s great to not have to worry about scraping ice of my car.
The pool scene is nice (read: girls in bikinis) and the staff makes sure that it doesn’t get too unruly in the summer. There are get togethers in the clubhouse for Eagles games, but I’m a Saints fan so I haven’t made it to one.
I highly recommend Riverwalk at Millenium, especially Bldg 2000.
