Been living in Conshy for the past two plus years and this is one of our favorites. Can’t be beat in the area for Chinese food. Reasonably priced, quick delivery(or pickup). I recommend the chicken lo mein, or the sweet and sour chicken. Dinner combos come with egg roll and fried rice, which can be a ton of food, but for $ 7 – 8 you can’t complain.

The«watercress» dumplings are filled with pork. Gross! Watercress is a vegetable not an intelligent animal. $ 7 in the trash

I just ordered delivery from here and I was not disappointed. My food came within 25 minutes during a weekend lunch. The portion was good for a lunch size and included a soup or egg roll and a soda for $ 6.50 plus delivery charge($ 1.75). The food itself was decent as well. I won’t say it’s my favorite(which goes to a little corner place in Philly), but it was pretty good. As I mentioned, portion size was good for the price and the pork fried rice was alright. I’d order from here again though since the price was right and they are so close.

This is pretty decent food, very affordable, and incredibly fast delivery if you’re ordering specific items. I pretty much get the same dish every time, which is the general tso’s chicken dinner plate. Their egg rolls are actually really good, and I usually don’t like eating those things. Fried rice is also made pretty well too. I only order delivery, and I’m right down the street so my food gets here in like 15 – 20 minutes from me ordering it. Pretty awesome when I’m in a pinch.

I just finished my food from this place so pardon me if this Unilocal review is a filled with agitation. The only reason Dragon and Phoenix is receiving two stars are for three reasons: fast service, decent wonton soup and decent beef and broccoli. I did not eat either of those things. My food was absolutely terrible. I ordered General Tso’s Chicken that was inedible. I spit it out immediately. some of the meat was redish/pink and other pieces were brown. I ordered«fried rice» with my chicken. When did fried rice become white rice soaked in soy sauce? Dry, salty. I will post a picture. I ate half of it because I was starving.

As far as Chinese takeout goes, Dragon & Phoenix is very good. I work close to here so I pick up from here fairly frequently. Their lunch special is actually a pretty great deal. Your main dish, with a side of pork fried rice, soup or eggroll and a soda. not too shabby! there are a couple of things that i’ve had that really stood out. Spare Ribs– juicy! I’ve been to too many Chinese take out places that cook their spare ribs into dried up hard pork jerky. No thank you! The spare ribs here are really flavorful and juicy. Beef with string beans– They are done a little spicy(not too much) and in a flavorful garlic sauce. Pork Fried Rice– I know its a staple that comes with every Chinese takeout lunch but not all fried rice is created equal. The fried rice is very flavorful and seasoned properly. They don’t just use yellow rice and pass it off as fried rice. They do a great job with their fried rice.

I’ve ordered from here a few times and it’s always been great! My go-to order is swee & sour chicken with pork lo mein and an egg roll. My fiancée loves the General Tso’s Chicken. Everything’s good!

I tried Dragon & Phoenix today for the first time after reading about it on Unilocal. D & P is located in a tiny old niche next to SCOOPS on Fayette Street. I had passed the place hundreds of times without realizing it was there. Today I ordered three favorites for take-out: shrimp toast, vegetable egg foo yung(Chinese omelet with vegetables and brown gravy) and vegetable lo mein. While waiting for my order, I sat in the tiny dining area and eyeballed the operation, used the rest room and browsed their menu. The tiny dining space is very informal and immaculate. The unisex rest room needs more attention. The open kitchen was orderly and clean and the employees(there were 5) were cleanly attired and professional. I was impressed by how seriously diligent everyone was. Very hardworking folks here! My order was promised in 10 minutes and was ready in a more realistic 20 minutes. Upon arriving home, I sampled the shrimp toast first. In my experience, very, very few chefs prepare shrimp toast well. After all, shrimp toast is supposed to taste like shrimp, right? D & P’s shrimp toast was the typical greasy, low on flavor, scanty on shrimp variety. It might have been very inexpensive but it wasn’t worth it. I would not order it again. I next sampled the veggie lo mein and was shocked by how tasty it was — loaded with flavor and chocked full of mushrooms and crispy carrots, broccoli, shredded cabbage and young snap peas. This vegetable lo mein was the best that I’ve experienced in ages! Lastly, I sampled the veggie foo yung. It was guaranteed to fail because I already know who makes the best in the area. I was shocked by how delicious D&P’s veggie foo yung was — full of flavor and accompanied by a rich and delicious brown gravy and a small container of sticky, flavorful white rice. This hardworking take-out restaurant definitely deserves a try. Based on two delicious items out of three for a very low cost, I’m switching to Dragon & Phoenix for Chinese take-out based on cost and quality. I’ll be trying additional items while looking for consistency. BTW, I left a $ 3 tip in the Gratuity Jar because my order seemed to be underpriced and the folks seemed to be deserving.

You might not expect this place to be good judging by its exterior, but the weird outer door leads to a hallway which is attached to a normal chinese take-out area with tables if you want to sit there as well. I’ve gotten food from here multiple times and it’s always been really good. I’ve also found that not all of the food is your typical recipe and they have menu items you might not find in other places. The food also tastes much better than your typical take-out place. I like it a lot.

Ordered the sparerib dinner. Ribs were meaty and delicious. Egg roll was crispy and flavorful. Wonton soup was also good! Highly recommend it to people in Conshohocken

Best Chinese food in Conshy! And always consistent. You may be skeptical coming here because of the hidden location but don’t let that fool you because it is definitely worth going to. I’ve tried many Chinese places in the area and this wins. I’ve turned several people onto this place now because they didn’t know it was there.

Based on its hidden location, I was amazed at how good this food was. It was a little more than most Chinese Restaurants, but the small increase it 100% worth it. This is now my go to spot.

Best Chinese in Conshy hands down. They do it well for a standard take out Chinese joint. Fast delivery all the time. Good combos and prices to match. Always seems pretty fresh. Large menu, bigger than normal for this type of establishment, but you can be the judge. Check it out.

Dragon & Phoenix Express is an amazingly good Chinese restaurant disguised as a corner take out joint. Their menu is a throw back to «old school» Chinese eateries. There is nothing remarkable, nothing unique, just good quality food. Their soups are fresh and very flavorful. The won ton is great and the hot & sour is spicy but not over the top. Their ribs steal the show. They are full of meat, nicely sauced, and not dried out at all. Entrees; they’re all good.
