B-52 Brewing Company is located in Conroe, Texas. More specifically, it is just a block off the 105, a few minutes west of Interstate 45. In spite of its name, I didn’t see any bombers flying around, but the taps were flowing on this beautiful, hot summer day. The vibe was good and I couldn’t have been happier to be posted up at the bar enjoying some of Top Texas Craft Beer. God bless Texas! If you are coming in from out of town, the brewery can be a little tricky to find. Keep an eye out for the signs and you will be fine. This is one of the most beautiful settings in Conroe for a craft beer experience. The brewery is set back in a canopy of trees. They have horseshoes, washers and a ping pong table along with other games so it seems like a campground. I really like this place! Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was very inviting — which comes as no surprise here in Texas! We even got a chance to talk with one of the owners who explained that he and his brother are just living the dream here — and enjoying every minute of it with his friends, family and the community. I read that they have the best bathrooms… it’s true! You will see what I mean when you get there. If you are on a tour of Top Texas Craft Breweries, then make sure B-52 Brewing company is on your list. You will usually find awesome food trucks here as well. This brewery clearly defines my motto… Good Food, Good Beer, Good Times!

I am not a beer aficionado, but I know what I like and what I don’t like. When a friend mentioned we were headed to her parents in Conroe, and were going to stop off at B-52, I was intrigued. A brewery way out in the middle of no where? It was either going to be a epic disaster, or super cool. Thankfully, it ended up being super cool. We got there on Saturday around 2, and the place was in full swing, they also have lots of flat screen TVs out and about, which I thought was fun, and a good place to catch a Texans or college football game. The weather was absolutely perfect, and there are tall trees all around, making it a quite nice setting. You purchase of $ 12 I believe gets you three beers and the glass, for an extra $ 3 you can get a koozie. The beers were all excellent, but one had this Japanese lime flavor I believe that I really liked. I need to find out which one that was. Everyone was super friendly, and they also have wine for $ 5 for those who don’t like beer. Lemonade for the kiddos. Dogs are welcome, as they were also doing pet adoptions, and lots of open space for kids to run around. I believe you can also bring food, not 100%, but they did have a food truck when we went. Definitely something fun for beer lovers to check out.

the folks at b-52 are part of the reason Texas gets a bad rep as a state. total assholes. as a native Texan, I want to love this state and be able to show it off as my home. the(volunteer) bartenders treated my out-of-state friend as a complete outsider, giving her a hard time with her out-of-state ID, telling her she looks 15 when she doesn’t, and telling her«this is Texas!» in a fake drawl when she asked why they were giving her such a hard time. the drive home, I listened to her vent about how much of a shithole her first interaction with Texans turned out to be. and I couldn’t argue. step it up, B-52. with such a nice space and such good beer, you have no reason to be hateful.

We’ve been coming to b-52 for over a year. It’s a very awesome venue to bring the dogs and kids and just enjoy the outdoors. They have seasonal beers(please, please bring back the Rye Saison) and one phenomenal breakfast stout. They also do infusions and one of the best lemonades I’ve had in awhile. Oktoberfest is coming up, which means they will have an awesome weekend of bands and beer. Been to a few breweries and I’d have to say this one is in my top 3.

B-52 is the perfect way to spend a Saturday. My husband and I are amateur brewery aficionados, and frequent as many as we can. This is easily the best brewery scene I’ve ever been to, including breweries we went to in Hawaii! As you sip on delicious beers, you are nestled into the forest with relaxing shade from tall trees. The Saturday we were there, they were playing great, relaxing tunes. There are tons of beers to choose from, you can get 3 half pints for $ 8, or 3 pints for $ 12. Our favorite beers were the wheat IPA and the Rauchbier, which was totally unique and smokey flavored. There are tons of picnic tables to sit at, but if you get there later than 2, I’d recommend bringing your own chairs. It can get a little crowded, but you don’t feel it because of the spacious, natural setting. They also had a catering food truck that was selling nachos and tacos, if you’re wanting a nibble. So, if you’re looking for a fun, relaxing way to spend a Saturday, make the trip to Conroe and enjoy some brews!

Beer was less than sub-par. We were excited to try a local brewery for the first time but were disappointed upon arrival to find that children outnumbered adults. Not exactly the environment one looks for when they want to grab a beer. Sampled all the beers they had and found that only one beer was quasi-drinkable which was the double IPA. The rest of the beers were reminiscent of a first time brewer. Was not worth the time or money. You are better off purchasing beer from a store rather than trying to find something palatable at B52. There is a reason you can’t find their beer on tap at most restaurants and other proprietors.

Submitted flight plan for a trip to B-52 Brewing: –Check the weather: rain-free days will be your best days to visit, as most of this brewery’s facilities are located outdoors amongst the trees on acreage buried deep in the woods in Conroe; –Plan on an early flight: B-52 Brewing Co. opens at noon on Saturdays. Arriving early means you get to enjoy their brews for longer and you’re more likely to snag your own picnic bench; –Allow for travel time due to massive construction on I45 around The Woodlands. This brewery is as close to Lake Conroe as one can get without a boat, so if you’re departing from downtown, know that it is a trek. So worth it, though; –Pack your growler for a fill. Don’t have one? You can buy one here; –Throw a few lawn chairs in the car if you so desire, as this will ensure comfy seating for you if you’re particular about where your butt rests, especially if all of the picnic benches fill up(although there were quite a few available, and almost all were situated in the shade); –Bring the kids! Lemonade and root beer are the drinks on tap for the little ones; –Rover and friends are welcome, too! Add them to your itinerary. Cold water is available for your canine friends, but bring your own water dish, please, and keep your pups on a leash; –For $ 12, you get a pint-sized souvenir glass with three pours. Different choices of beers on tap depending on the day you go. Not sure what to get? Ask for a sip and your wishes will be granted. YUM. Be adventurous and try something new; –Take the tour upon arrival if you like. Not interested in the tour? Then go fill up your glass, sit down for a spell and enjoy the great outdoors with a good beer. A $ 3 koozie will ensure that your beer stays chilled — definitely recommended, particularly on a hot summer day; –If you’ve brought a cooler with munchies, eat up(no grilling allowed, though). Otherwise, head to the food truck on site that offers solid nourishment; –Know that on this flight, you’ll have great rest rooms available, too. Air conditioned and clean; –Have a designated driver for your flight home. You may just need it; –Plan on a return expedition in the future. Cheers and have a safe mission!

First off, we drove from the galleria, we had expectations. We saw the 4th of July release specials and wanted to take a look. We pull up about 5ish and I’m amazed by the place. LOTS of kids playing the yard games so it looks like a well rounded place when it comes to ages of crowds.(Point) We get the wristbands for drinks and get our glass. At this point we’re ready for the triple IPA(the whole reason we drove over 50 miles…) and the response we get is «we’re done with that one»(it’s 15 minutes after the release) «well if you know someone you can probably get a small glass.» … So you have some, it’s just reserved for the hot shots? (Minus a point) We walk up to the bar and I obviously haven’t had their beer before and they all look so blended and good so one of the guys make a suggestion(their 4th of July special of course) and it’s pretty light and easy. What I wanted. (Point) They call last call for food via old fashioned triangle. Awesome! (Point) The food truck that was there goats bbq. Was literally amazing! We got 1 of everything. (Point) At this point were 2 beers of our 3 on our wristband and we decide it’s time to cash in for the last one and we turn around and they are closing the doors to the storage container that is the bar.(No last call called…) «yeah we close at 7. It’s on the website.» Well we still have 1 beer left. «Just bring your wristband back up and we’ll give you the last beer»(sorry but you want me to keep track of this paper wristband and drive 50 miles back up for a beer? WOW) we are sitting at the table right next to the bar… And they can’t pour a beer? And then yall sit right outside the bar and pour yourselves 2 more beers??? (Minus a point) Overall experience? It was good but I still feel cheated. We are paying customers. Don’t be high and mightly and snotty. It’s not attractive

Best best best local craft beer brew joint! Unique beers, non-alcoholic options, & family-friendly environment with games like ping-pong, frisbee, checkers & bean bag toss. The architecture is industrial but the setting is like you’re camping in the woods with a bunch of really cool people. My wife is gushing over this place… and that’s all that matters!

Whether you’re a beer connoisseur or just a connoisseur of a good time, B52 does not disappoint. Located on six wooded acres just 45 minutes north of Houston off highway 105, B52 brewery is the perfect spot to escape the concrete jungle and enjoy some of Texas’ finest award-winning beers. As a lover of dark beers myself, I strongly recommend B52’s Breakfast Stout — a rich combination of coffee and chocolate that never disappoints. On the lighter end of the spectrum, the Rye Saison is another favorite of mine. Just be careful: at 9.2% ABV, there’s a good chance that a couple pints of the seemingly innocuous, fruity brew is likely to throw off your frolf game. Speaking of frolf, don’t forget to bring your competitive A-game as the brewery is chock-full of fun activities from frolf to cornhole to ping-pong and a host of others. Thinking you’ll have to find a babysitter to enjoy such a venue? Think again. B52 Brewery prides itself on crafting a family-friendly atmosphere, with ice-cold root beer for the little ones. For the best all-around family experience, bring the clan out on the first Saturday of the month to experience an assortment of local art, craft, and food vendors! You’re sure to find something for everyone. After quite a few visits, it’s clear: at B52, they’re always brewin’ up a good time.

Whether it be a gorgeous Saturday or an uninvited rainy one, get to B-52 Brewing Co right off of 105 near Lake Conroe. I recommend this brewery to anyone and everyone, even pets! I recently visited on a gorgeous Saturday and there were about 25 dogs there, just make sure they’re leashed! Open to the public 12−4PM on Saturday B-52s offers a great scene with picnic tables everywhere, Cornhole(I still call it bags), Jenga, Aggie Golf and even a couple frisbee golf holes! For the 21 and up crowd it doesn’t get much better but they even cater to the young guns with a root beer. Your time at B-52s is guaranteed to be a good one with friends or family! One last thing, if the Liberator lager is on tap, use your red mark to get it! You’ll thank me later. Brew on!

Super cool brewery to hang out at. Lots of activities to do and picnic tables to hang out at. Unfortunately most of the beers there were IPA so I didn’t really like any of them. $ 8 for 3 half pint tastings and $ 12 for the pint size tastings. Glass included!

As a former B-52 Navigator I had to check this place out. My buddy and I met with the owners and they really took care of us. We walked out of the brewery with tons of B-52 brewery gear and growlers. I’ll have to come back with my wife on the weekend. The only negative is that ever since I’ve been«jonesing» for the shwarzbeir(sp?). I’ve got to have more. I’m addicted.

A brewery that fills growlers on-site, AND has disc golf?! YES. The location is absolutely stunning, very park-like. It’s especially beautiful when compared to most other breweries that are more *industrial*-park-like. We drove in from out of town and didn’t arrive at B-52 until much later than planned — about 30 minutes before«close» — and that seemed to cause a bit of confusion/hassle at the admission tent.. The woman staffing the tent said it was last-call and she couldn’t sell us the standard 3-pours-and-a-pint-glass(understandable, for sure), but a single pour and the glass would cost *more* than that standard admission? Or a single beer in a plastic cup would be $ 8? Bit of a bummer, but the beer was good, and hopefully I’ll be able to make it back on a day when the weather’s a bit less oppressive, B-52’s had some time to get over new-biz growing pains, and I’ll have more time available to throw a few discs and snuggle on their hunka-hunka mascot pug :)

This place was packed on a Saturday afternoon even with it being 100 degrees. There was ample parking in the words. Games to play while you are hanging out there and dog friendly. Plenty of seating The beers I enjoy are wheat ipa and the pils is great. They had a special but they were out of it I don’t blame them I got there in the last hour they were opened. This is a cool brewery it’s out in the woods and doesn’t feel so mainstream and packed like breweries in Houston. Growlers to go as well!

This brewery is located on six wooded acres. Its a bit of a trek from downtown Houston, but worth it just to get out of the city for a bit. Not to mention its a few degrees cooler with more breezes! The brewery setting is park like, with picnic tables, a fire pit(not going in the summer), ping pong tables and nets. There were lots families and dogs mixed in with and many of the folks who came out used the area to play with their dogs and/or their kids. Its $ 8 for three beers in an 6 oz glass and $ 12 for three beers in a pint glass. Special beers are an additional $ 3 for one token. One thing that stood out to me was the B-52 beer growlers, we almost brought one home because of how well designed they are. A good number of the beer offerings are high in alcohol. I had looked forward to trying their Saison(Belgian-style ale) and Root Beer. Sadly they were out of both. The beers that were available were not to my liking but the people I was with did like the special version of the Schwarzbier that was available. I was a little put off by their pint glass system, I feel its not on par with some of the other small local breweries. HOWEVER, I really enjoyed their outdoor set-up and would be happy to give them another chance come cooler weather.

Had a great time at the Grand opening! Great atmosphere and set-up for this family-owned well planned out, brewery on six wooded acres. We loaded the dog into the car and took I-45 north to Texas 105. Not far off the highway, we turned into a wooded setting where the owners father, was in a golf cart directing cars to parking spots under the oak trees. Helming the ticket booth was the brewers’ mother. All four family members are partners in B-52. The brewery setting is park like, and many of the folks who came out used the area to play with their dogs and/or their kids. There were also ping pong and other games, and an acoustic band played several sets. The owner says food trucks and movie nights will become a feature in the future. There’s even talk of a campout once the weather cools off again. We settled into a shaded picnic table and struck up a nice, long conversation with a couple from Montgomery. They know beer well, and we discussed, with a shared gratitude, the rapidly growing number of options available here. The B-52 beers are well worth bringing home. The Payload pilsner and Wingman wheat India pale ale seem particularly suited for the warm days ahead. Both are refreshing and nicely balanced, and at less than 6 percent alcohol by volume they are less likely to sneak up on you like many of the craft beers on the market. The more adventurous will enjoy the robust and flavorful rye saison, a Belgian-style ale that is one-and-a-half times stronger than the other two. Will be back and bring friends. Great beer!
