Bauer’s Dam is a family-​friendly bar/​grill and resort located on Lower Buckatabon lake in Conover Wisconsin. We have four beautiful lake homes for rent including two 2bd/​1ba, a 3bd/​2ba and a 5bd/​2ba all located right on the lake. We have a full liquor bar. Our food specialties include homemade pizza, burgers, soups and salads. We have plenty of other great choices as well. Boat and motors are available for rent. You can enjoy outdoor dining overlooking the lake in the summer. Winter sports can be enjoyed right from our cabins, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and cross-​country skiing to name a few. We are located in near Eagle River, WI in Vilas county.

History

Established in 1946.

Bauer’s Dam Resort has had only three owners since 1946. Sol and Alice Bauer started the tradition with a small general store and resort. later they opened a beer bar in the basement of the house. In 1973, Bob and Jeannie Bauer purchased the resort. Though they have the same last name, there was no relation, so the name has never changed. Bob and Jeannie enjoyed ownership for twenty years before selling to their daughter and son-​in-​law Donna and Glenn. Glenn and Donna are in their 21^st season at Bauers Dam. Though ownership hasn’t canged often, there have been many improvements to the property over the years to keep the tradition into the next generation.
