AAA Moving & Storage, LLC

If you are going with this company… I urge you to keep searching. We had a relatively simple move of only 13 items. We did most of our moving ourselves to save money and hired AAA moving and Storage from Hickory NC to move the larger and heavy items only 1.6 miles. My main item was a large U shaped desk. The movers, «Andy» and «Angel», were not professional and took many personal phone calls while they should have been working. A move that should have taken just two or three hours, took an entire day. They damaged my desk and now there is an unsightly chunk missing from the center. The workers even tried to hide the damage from me but fortunately, I had someone watching them during the time the damage took place. So they were dishonest on top of everything else. They must have dropped our leather reclining sofa because both reclining ends no longer work properly (the sofa is less than a year old). I only complained about the desk. «Denby» claimed it could be fixed and made an appointment for last Saturday (January 30, 2016). I stayed here ALL day and the repair man was a no show. I called and left two messages that were not returned as well as an email… also not answered. I finally got a call back last week and told them I wanted to file for the insurance since they failed to show up to repair their damage, but they do not seem to want to pay for the weight of this very large and heavy desk by the pound. The contract states that .60 cents per pound is insured. Because I no longer have any trust for this company, I requested that all communication be kept to email so I will have a record. It looks like this is going to become a legal issue and I am being forced to take them to court. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
