WORST and MOST UNBELIEVABLE experience!
The protectionist attitude of this company is a detriment their customer service.
I bought headlights 3 months ago but month later before my headlights arrived decided to go a different direction after buying a new car. Matt agreed I could send them back for a refund. This is where things go south.
Umnitza shipped the headlights to the wrong address where they ended up at a local post office. The local post office then lost them.
Of no fault of my own, Umnitza has held me responsible. They have refused a refund until the headlights were returned. I started a credit card dispute and while building my case the headlights turned up, which I promptly had the USPS return them to Umnitza. Now that Umnitza has their headlights back they still have not refunded my money because they don’t want to get screwed from the dispute.
After holding me responsible, they are asking me to drop my complaints and dispute. That’s an impressive amount of audacity!

Great and friendly service! I ordered angel eyes, headlights and hid fog lights and it came a lot faster than I expected. Had some trouble installing but called tech support and they walked me through everything. Highly recommended and satisfaction is two thumbs up! Looking forward to future build!

I went to the shop to pick up an M5-​tech front bumper for my ’08 e60 and the service was EXCEPTIONAL! Tim was not only incredibly personable, he made sure that I understood exactly what I needed to do in order to accomplish what I was trying to do with my bumper. This guy made my week with how friendly he was and how thorough his instructions were. I’ve been doing research on these bumpers for months and he was able to answer all concerns and questions that I had. I got a great deal because of black friday and I highly recommend Umnitza to anyone looking to make some cosmetic changes to their vehicle.

I had the pleasure of working with Matt, Adam, and Tim at Umnitza. Got Orion V2s with upgraded HIDs installed on my E53×5. During the process the staff was helpful, transparent, and generous (offered to buy me lunch while I waited). Loved the final product — definitely recommend the guys at Umnitza if you’re looking to upgrade the look of your car!

This is the second time I purchased an M5 bumper for my 08 528i. I dealt with Tim and Matt. Although there was an issue with the first bumper, they were quick to get the issue resolved. Always answered my calls and replied to my emails. Great customer service!

Bought a set of angel light from them, great service and product.
They even offer life time warranty on their light, which is good because two of my 4 rings actually turned out to be defect.
Currently in process of claiming replacement part and waiting for reply from Umnitza.

This company is great to deal with! It simply does not get any better than this. Seriously folks, what more can an enthusiast want? They sell the brightest angel eyes on the market and have superior customer service!
A few months ago, I had a few questions regarding an install on a few products that Umnitza sold. I reached out and was greeted on the phone by Tim, (an enthusiast himself) who happens to be very knowledgeable of his products. I was astounded by the customer service that was relayed. Tim answered all of my questions and in addition was great at upselling ideas for my clients with his products. Unlike other companies that just want your money, you can really tell that Umnitza cares about their Clients. I only recommend my clients purchase their angel eyes and lighting accessories from Umnitza.

A++ Service. I took my Audi there to get the front bumper replaced and they really went out of their way to make my experience there a pleasurable one. Every move was explained in detailed which shows the experience and knowledge they have. We hit a few road bumps during the install due to my Audi’s imperfections but got past them no problems! Looking forward to my next visit and many more to come.

I have an pre-​LCI E60 530xi. I did tons of researches about finding the brightest AE for my bimmer. Finally found out the Orion V4, I talked to Matt who is very kind and helpful. So I took my chance and order the AE. When the headlight was send back to me, I couldn’t wait to install them. Oh man that’s most amazing angeleye I have ever seen in person. Thanks again for the amazing work by those guys.

Umnitza installed quad projectors for me in my Lotus Exige. Few bumps during the process but they stand by their work and have been helpful in fixing the issues that came up. As of right now my lights are working and the output is great. Track tested and they held up well.

I have a 2008 BMW 550i (E60) and my left front headlight bulb burned out. My old roommate had ordered LED angel eye bulbs from Umnitza before and suggested I call them. I’m glad he made this recommendation. Tim made the process super easy and guided me through all the different products. I really appreciated his honesty and follow up through the ordering process. The bulbs arrived on time as promised. I ended up ordering the Osram Xenon Replacement Bulbs (D1S) Pair and Umnitza ICE VXX (N) BMW LED Upgrade Angel Eyes. The bulbs are awesome and the car looks great. Thank you to Tim and the team at Umnitza! I’ll definitely be back if I need anything.

Drove in to shop this morning, just planning to look around.

After some initial trouble I was able to get the issue resolved with Matt in regards to my orion v2.5 for my e46 m3. Even with the drama, my car looks great and everything is working. If anyone runs into any issues let these guys know and they’ll help you out as they are pretty responsive. I can give you my two cents if anyone needs any help too.

I’ve had my Umnitza projectors and Orion Angel Eyes on my E39 for years now and they’re still looking great! Just got some replacement bulbs from Tim today. He was super helpful and gave me a great price. Awesome product and excellent customer service. Thanks!

This place saved the day again. Customer came in with other brand products that had failed. He had what I needed in stock and customer left happy. Great job!

Purchased painted rocker panels from Umnitza. Paint job was terrible and it was pretty much the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. After a month of ignored phone calls and emails, I finally got my money back for the paint job, at least. Avoid doing business with this company if you can.

I’m not at all surprised to read Umnitza’s response and arrogance that they handled the sub-​par paint job and late delivery with great customer service.
It should be noted that Tim, who I originally placed the order with promised me up and down over the phone that the part would be delivered by December 23^rd as it was a Christmas gift. When I questioned their ability to turn around the part so quickly, as I was placing the order less than a week from that delivery date, he reassured me that there would be no problem. Considering the rushed paint job, I’m sure he just wanted to make the sale instead of thinking about what was realistic for them.
When the delivery date came, and I had not received the part, I had to call Umnitza and let them know this. A decent company with proactive customer service would have let me know that the part was delayed and I wouldn’t be receiving it. Instead, I called the company and was met with a sour attitude over my frustration that the part wasn’t delivered on the day as promised by Tim. I spoke with Matt that day.
Matt said that he would ship out the package on the 23^rd, and it could or could not be delivered on December 24^th. Being that it was Christmas Eve, I really didn’t trust that it was going to be delivered on time, and either did Matt.
Matt then said I could drive out in the middle of the work day to go get the package in Concord, or that I could meet one of his delivery guys in Fremont. I live in Sunnyvale. After a long conversation, he finally relented and agreed to deliver the part to me as promised on the 23^rd.
When the part was delivered, I was told that I had to be at the house to sign for it. After getting to the house, I never heard a knock at the door from the delivery guy. For whatever reason, the delivery guy did not wait for the package to be signed for, and just left the package on the driveway. It is a part of Umnitza’s policy to have the recipient review and sign for the package if the order is over a certain price point. This allows the customer to inspect for defects or problems with the product before receiving the product. Because the delivery guy did not do his job, I was never able to inspect the rocker panels and voice then and there that the paint job was rushed and that the clear coat had run. If Umnitza had followed their own policy, the driver could have taken the part back with him to have it repainted and fixed. Because their own policy was not followed, I asked if they could pick up the part to have it repainted.
After several unanswered voicemails, being kept on hold for 15 – 30 minutes, and basically being avoided, I finally resorted to an email and voicemail that said that I would be disputing the charge with my credit card company to get my money back. After this more aggressive message, I finally got a phone call back the same day from Matt.
During that phone call, Matt explained to me that I shouldn’t have expected a great paint job for the price that I had paid. He also explained that he had been trying to reach out to the vendor that they use for painting to figure out when they could have the rocker panel repainted, but the vendor wasn’t getting back to him. He said that if I wanted things to move faster, that I should call the vendor myself. I found that pretty outrageous as it shouldn’t be put on the customer to do the work of a company that contracts out vendors to get work done. I paid Umnitza for the part and paint service, not the vendor that they chose and hired.
Also during this conversation, Matt explained to me that the painter is notorious for this clear coat problem, and basically rushing jobs, and he wasn’t surprised to hear that the clear coat had run. He said that he’s seen the clear coat problem on other products that they’ve gotten back from the vendor. I frankly wouldn’t be surprised if he actually saw my rocker panels and noticed the clear coat problem, but decided to deliver them to me anyway hoping that I wouldn’t notice or make a fuss. Maybe that’s why the delivery guy didn’t follow the policy and allow me to inspect the product first. Shady.
At that point I was so turned off by Matt, and really questioned Umnitza’s ability to get the panels fixed by a vendor who Matt had himself said was notorious for doing a bad job, that I just wanted my money back. I did eventually get my money back for the painting service, but I’ll never ever do business with these guys again.

Talk to Tim, cool guy and will get you what you want. Got an e90 mtech rear end from him. Even CAREFULLY helped me put it in my car.

I had just bought a 2008 BMW E92 and was looking to upgrade the stock angel eyes to LED. I had heard a lot of horror stories about Umnitza so I was hesitant at first, but then decided to give them a shot due to the warranty they offer. Despite an initial problem, these guys really came through and stood behind their work. Matt and Tim are great guys. Matt helped trouble shoot the problem and even involved one of their certified BMW mechanics from Napa who fixed it at no cost to me. They even upgraded me to the top of the line LED for no additional charge just for my trouble.
I have no hesitation in recommending Umnitza to anyone looking to customise their car. I know I will be going back to them soon when I upgrade my fog lamps.

I was looking to upgrade the lighting on my BMW ’07 E91. I bought the car used and it came with halogens and no angel eyes — GAH!
I found umnitza through some forum recommendations and decided to give it a whirl. They have a unique custom build option which I used, but ended up with some changes after speaking with Matt over the phone (for at least 30 mins).
It did take some time to receive the final product since they deal in such a specialist product and make the headlight to spec.
Unfortunately, and this is a big unfortunately, not all BMW’s react the same way to the different voltages the new HID bulbs draw from the vehicle and I received several error codes. The lights were working flawlessly and looked fantastic, but I couldn’t live with the constant reminder the dash produced. Matt sent me some different ballasts to try and correct the issue, but unfortunately they did not work. The next step is «rewiring» the brain of the car to code in the HID’s as though they were a stock option but after a few attempts of that (it can be complicated) I admitted defeat.
To be clear, a different car of the same make and model may very well have accepted the setup without a peep. I wasn’t so lucky.
Here’s where Matt and Umnitza really shined. I couldn’t really use the headlights (based on my own need for an error free dash) and didnt really want to turn around and resell them since they were relatively custom (small market) and brand new. But thanks to a great relationship I had established with the folks at Umnitza, I struck a deal to exchange the lights for an AFE intake (which I also had my eye on) and completed the transaction a happy customer.
This was a unique situation, but it’s great to see a company able to make decisions on a case by case basis for an «everybody wins» outcome. They sold the headlights I couldn’t use a few days later to a local buyer. Boom.

Update to my review.
They fixed the problems that were caused initially and stood their ground on making this right.
