The Yellow Submarine

I put in a order with some folks I work with. My food was shockingly bad. The bread of my sand which was smashed into a small Styrofoam container & the meat tasted odd.

Awesome food, but the older man is not very friendly and if he is working, you will notice the attitude he gives if you want your bread toasted. They dont have an oven, just the stove where they heat up all the meat and cook etc. And if he does put your bread on there, he doesnt put it on the right side, he puts it crust down. All of his employees are very nice though. I actually got kicked out of there cause I confronted him about appearing not to like toasting the bread, and he said «I dont» i said «but I am paying for it» he said «thats why I am doing it» I said yeah I know but its really obvious you dont like doing it and you just throw it onto the stove from feet away like you really just dont care” then I said «you are here just as long either way so it shouldnt matter» and he cut me off to tell me to leave and not come back. of course I told him that I go to his store twice a week and I am a supporting customer, so I dont know why he needs to act that way, but other than his crappy attitude, I enjoy everything else. (enjoyed) if you like the food here, but you get kicked out like me, I will save you the time and tell you that you can find food just as good at constantly pizza on s. main st, a few stores beforeThe Draft, if you are heading south. There subs are awesome and they are grilled. One girl there is kind of snobby but the rest are nice. Haha. Good luck either way.

This is a great little sandwich shop out on North State Street. A bit oddly-​located, but convenient for a quick sandwich pickup on the road north. Limited parking and no seating, so this is for pickup and delivery only.
They make a mean sandwich at a reasonable price. And they’ve been there for decades, so we can expect them to stick around longer.

Great local place with good sandwiches. A small place that has good food at affordable prices. Every time I have gone to the yellow sub I have had efficient service, friendly staff who listen to what you want. The belly buster is one of my favorite subs.

I made a decision to support a small local business for lunch. The man made my sub with no gloves while taking cash and credit card payments in between. He never even washed his hands between taking money and making sandwiches. That’s just gross and uncalled for.
Please wear gloves!!! If you do not believe in wearing gloves then take extra steps to was your hands. Don’t you know how dirty money is? I cannot believe a business is allowed to operate like this!

Adorable little place for awesome classic New England sandwiches. Friendly efficient staff and great service! My sweetheart got the Italian sandwich — bread a little boring — and a fine salad. I got the fried haddock boat — just right. They carry Moxie.
