I went to The HIlls today bc of the reviews it had received and was dissapointed to see that it looked like the wardrobe room to «that 70’s show». Maybe it had to do with the fact that they are closing and the stores last day of business will be Feb 28th? too bad, so sad it was very anti climatic…

This place is AWESOME! I always leave with a smile on my face! They have vintage to modern clothes, shoes, belts, and accessories and prices are REALLYGOOD! If you have any clothes you want to trade in they give you really good store credit! The owners are awesome — really friendly and helpful. Fantastic place — I highly recommend it!

I found this little gem while cruising Unilocal for something interesting to do out on this side of the tunnel. I’m new over here and used to shops like Buffalo Exchange, Crossroads, and Mars… What I found at The Hills was a little shop in a strip mall that seemed very out of place considering. Regardless, I walked into the store and found a very bored looking person sitting there who didn’t really offer me any help or look up from her book until I asked her to help me find something she thought was neat — -based on other reviews I thought this would be a fun way to go. She didn’t have much input and most of the stuff there that day just wasn’t my style– not her fault! That’s why it’s a used clothes store– things are always coming and going! She warmed up a bit and explained she was part owner etc… While I didn’t find much more than a jacket that day I will stress the issue that their prices are beyond reasonable!!! Anyone who tries to haggle is wasting their time. This place is CHEAP compared to anything else like it. I will definately be a regular there and hopefully have more luck when I visit again. Used clothes shopping is like a treasure hunt.

I LOVE this place! It’s small but, it’s jam packed with awesome close! And with great prices to boot. The clothes range from vintage to tags still attached brand new. They clothes are all in great shape and don’t smell like moth balls and mold. The owner is insanely friendly in fact I go there so often that she knows what style I like and will often go «Oh, you’re gonna love this jacket, it’s so you!» And 99% of the time it’s true. I feel like I have my own personal shopper when I walk in there. All I have to do is try the clothes on. I can’t say enough good things about this store. You need to get off Unilocal and go to The Hills now!

This store seemed to have an identity crisis. It had the musty and funky smells of a Goodwill, but the prices of a higher end consignment shop. I did buy a top there for $ 13 which I though a bit high for what it was. Also it smelled very musty and funky as if it were pulled from a mildew ridden closet. When I asked about it, I was told that all of the garments are sprayed with Febreeze and I was probably smelling that. Also the top I bought was«60’s inspired» and not vintage which did not bother me as much as horrid music that was playing the entire time. The shopping bags are cute… but that is the best thing I can say for The Hills. If you want cheap second hand clothes, you are better off at the Goodwill. If you would like a great consignment store try Main Street Rags in Walnut Creek.

Highly recommended. I’ve been meaning to go back to this place to browse the racks for myself! But I want to do it when I have plenty of time because there is so much to see at The Hills. I’ve bought a few gifts here, which I think is a great idea because the selection is very unique and it makes me feel like I am making an extra special effort to get something particularly fitting for their personality as opposed to the thoughtlessness of a gift card or something I may come across at Target. If you have taste in clothing, definitely hit this place up. Feel good about it for lots of reasons including being supportive of local business.

I went to this place hoping to sell some clothes, but they no longer buy :(Apparently they were losing too much money. But, the nice lady who helped me did trade in some of my clothes for about $ 20 for in-store use only. I was looking forward to combing through the racks, but was only mildly impressed with their selection.

The Hills’ sells unique vintage apparel and current fashions, for men, women and children! They sell and trade, gently used clothes. Think Buffalo Exchange, but way cooler with much nicer help. They feature a gallery space showcasing local artists; Painting, photography, sculpture, etc. That is a slight rendition of the motto of The Hills, but I think it sums it up well. I may be partial since the shop is owned by a friend of mine, but I honestly believe it would be one of my favorite stores, regardless. I have found so many cute, cute, cute! vintage dresses and other things there; I think 90% of my wardrobe is from The Hills. I am constantly finding new things I want, and am forced to go through my closet to trade in some of my old digs, for fantastic new ones. Check it out!
