STS CPR Concord teaches First Aid, CPR, BLS, BCLS, ACLS and EMSA courses in the Oak Grove Plaza Shopping Center in Concord. These courses are for renewals or first time students and these certified training courses are by the American Heart Association AHA.

We concentrate on CPR training in the manner of the American Red Cross ARC or American Heart Association AHA in Concord. STS CPR Concord teaches public classes in our classroom, and private group classes which can be held at your workplace/​facility. This is a great place to get your certification or recertification for health professionals, teachers, child care providers, nurses, and others who need to learn CPR, EMSA, BLS, BCLS, HCP, etc.

Established in 1989.

We started teaching classes in San Francisco but recently added a classroom in Concord, CA to make it more convenient for our east bay clients. If you are looking a CPR class in Vallejo, our American Heart Association class is only 15 miles away. Concord CPR Classes is an official AHA BLS renewal and CPR training Center and our license number is ca20784. We are also certified to provide the EMSA Pediatric First-​aid classes for license childcare centers in Solano and Contra County. Our license number for EMSA is 0204-​DC.

Manager

Besides teaching CPR and First-​aid classes in Concord, I also teach certified classes in scuba diving. I became a divemaster on Ko Tao in Thailand and my instructor course in Honduras on Utilla. We can teach classes in Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, Livermore, Walnut Creek, Antioch, Fremont, and other cities in the East Bay.

AJ was awesome! He was super knowledgable and made the class super fun and not boring at all. He was patient with us and made it clear and easy for us to learn the information and perform the skills. I’ve taken other BLS classes with Red Cross and the instructor was terrible and rude and threatened to fail people every chance he got. It was seriously super traumatizing the way he handled the class. I’m glad there are instructors and people like AJ that make the experience worthwhile. Highly recommend him! Thank you again.

The instructor had a great sense of humor, was very experienced, concise, and to the point. The 3 hours were over before we even knew it. TJ was awesome. The class was very informative and much more interesting than the last time I took it. New training video with better actors definitely helped but what made the class the most interesting was the instructor named TJ. TJ has a great personality and is very knowledgeable. He shared his real life experiences with the class which adds to the education value but also kept the class interesting and entertaining. Hopefully he will still be teaching the class when I have to renew my certification in two years.

Bhakari Said (sp?) was my instructor for my hybrid online/​in person PALS re-​cert and was a gem! As an instructor, BS worked with us students during the code scenarios and went over all the meds, defib/​cardioversion info, and heart rhythms in a simple, conversational manner, which is a great approach to building up students than putting them on the spot until you «get» it. I know I personally do the worst when I’m under high stress and people are watching me and this style allowed me to conceptualize and retain the info. I truly feel much more confident running a code now! The prep work online took a while to finish but also helped a lot, especially since I don’t encounter peds patients on a regular basis. If you’re on the fence about taking an online class, I say go for it. I have done PALS completely in person before and seriously learned nothing since it was so boring. The cool thing about the program they use for the online stuff is that you have to pass before you can advance, so you really learn what to do in critical scenarios, in correct order. Awesome!
Bonus…Our class got out early! I will only go here next time I need to re-​cert

Helping TJ’s quest to be Unilocal famous, he taught an awesome CPR class in Concord. Very knowledgable, funny, and entertaining. I didn’t know cpr could be fun while learning a lot. The downside is the first aid class after was pretty boring. A lot of videos and the instructor, Laura, pretty much hid behind the desk almost the whole class. The videos are probably required by the American Heart Association but she could have been a little more enthusiastic about it all.

I never thought I would be this excited to write a review for a CPR class, but damn this class was good! Rasheed is brilliant — he informed us about current studies on CPR while making sure we had all the Red Cross regulations down. He’s entertaining, smart, funny, and really made this the best CPR class I have taken by far. Take his classes!!!
Also, the facility is clean, he provided snacks, sodas, tea and even made us coffee!

Patrick was awesome! He really made the CPR class funny and entertaining. I bought coffee thinking I was going to fall asleep in the class. To keep myself awake, I guess. However, I was shocked how entertaining he made it. You can tell he really likes his job, and he really tries to do minor things to spice it up. I was surprised when the two hours had already passed. If you need to renew or get a CPR license, then go here and get a show.
It comes with complimentary soda, granola bars, coffee and water. Chow up and enjoy :)
