At Dr. Robin Williams Orthodontics, we are especially interested in making all of our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment in a friendly, positive and personal environment. Each patient receives quality care and attention from Dr. Williams, using the most up-​to-​date technology including digital radiography and computer-​aided diagnosis.

Each patient has a unique treatment plan designed for his or her specific needs, which ensures that all aspects of our patient’s care is addressed appropriately. Even though we have a team of highly trained dental assistants working with every patient, Dr. Williams is actively involved at each treatment visit.

We specialize in Orthodontics for children and adults. We offer Invisalign, Invisalign Teen and traditional braces. We have convenient interest free payment plans, and accept most insurance plans.

Established in 2006.

Dr. Robin Williams purchased the practice from Dr. Robert Chiappone in 2006.

Dr. Robin Williams graduated from the dental program at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in Jackson in 1996. After completing a hospital residency at UCLA, he practiced general dentistry in Europe and Hawaii before pursuing his specialty certificate in Orthodontics from the New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. Dr. Williams has since practiced orthodontics in Los Angeles, and Arizona, before opening his office in Concord.

In his free time, Dr. Williams enjoys world travel and painting. He also speaks Spanish.

Still the best in town! we keep going back to see Dr. William and every time its the best service. His staff is wonderful. Love Alicia and Eddie. Miss going often. But my daughter is done with treatment so we only go for check ups or retainers incidents.

I am a patient of Dr. Williams. He and his staff are wonderful! They were very flexible with my crazy-​busy life and took the time to get to know me and my family. I honestly do not have one bad thing to say. From the time I walked in for a consultation to the time my braces came off, they went above and beyond! I had a few tricky situations that came up during my treatment and I never thought that they were incompetent or fumbling their way through, they always took the time to walk me though what was going on and was willing to answer any of my (many) questions along the way.

Just put braces on my young man and he was showing them off at schoool today. The kids were ohhing and awwing over the colored braces. He was quite the little celebrity for the day. The staff has been excellent and they even gave us 10% off the whole thing for pre-​paying. Yeah! I’ll check on this review in 6 months, but we off to a great start and a nice smile.

I’m nearing the end of my brace experience. I have to say, Dr. William’s and his staff have been nothing but respectful, accomodating and patient with me. I have broken two bands and have had to go in on unscheduled visits about four times this year. Not once have I been threatened or questioned about what I may have done to cause such incindents. (I know I’ve broken the rules, both knowingly and accidentally). One or two or my extra appointments were due to a technician’s negligence, but overall, they are great. Yvonne is super!
Jennifer, Lily and most of the staff are great and pleasurable to deal with. (No, I do NOT work there or am I related to anyone in the office).
My son has braces also, and Dr. Williams has been very patient with him too, as my son has broken his expander and chain without telling us. Then we go in… and surprise!
While I will update this review once my braces come off and then once my son is finished in a couple of years, so far I highly recommend Dr. Williams and his staff.

No words can describe how wonderful this place is. The staff is so helpful understand everybody needs and helps with people that don’t have ins. I drive from Pleasanton to just come here. He’s the only one that cared and not looking for money. He told my son to come back after he looses couple of more teeth. Instead saying let’s pull them and put braces on him now. So when he lost them he said perfect he can start and not worry about pulling teeth so you can start braces faster and get your money. No he was honest. Don’t put braces on early you will be sorry later. I got braces at 11 back in the 70’s that’s what the did now people are so money hungry that they want to start in kindergarten. I understand everyone is a different case. But because you want your kid to have straight teeth early. Go talk to Dr Williams he will explain. And not want your money. I don’t have ins and I have 3 kids they put me on a perfect payment plan that I don’t have to be strap down and be broke because my kids need braces. They even put braces on my second kid and didn’t start that payment until my son was payed off so I didn’t have a high payment. I so recommend that you try Dr William. Plus you will love the Techs they are so down to earth and funny you can hang out with your child why they are getting worked on they don’t mind and you guys can talk to them and stay with your child and watch what they are doing. Love love him.

He has been very kind and takes a lot of time with the kids. We have a divorce situation, so he has to explain everything to each parent separately, and he is very patient in doing this. His office is also beautiful and his office staff is very professional.

Both my kids had their braces and treatments here. (They still come back for retainer checks.) I love this place! We hardly ever have to wait long, and it’s a super friendly environment. Dr. Williams is fantastic! The kids’ teeth are perfect. We are so happy, and feel the prices are so reasonable here too.

Thought I’d be satisfied with the dramatic movements and changes in my son’s teeth, when he got them off they were not straight so we went back to his office to ask why they weren’t straight and he said «the retainers make them straight», months went by and his teeth were still not straight so we had to invest in another dentist because Mr. Williams kept telling me they were straight when they clearly were not. I do not recommend bringing yourself or your children here if you want straight teeth, this is the place to go if you want ‘close-​to-​straight teeth’

33 with braces, kinda hated the idea of braces, but now 8 months into treatment, I do not mind them. Robin and his staff are great. My teeth are moving and am happy with the arch widening.
A few minor issues in the beginning, expander was not sitting right and was «falling» down, removed and repaired, no problems since.

Dr. Williams treated my then 8 year old son for Phase I of his braces. His treatment has been successful, and his office responded positively whenever he complained about some pain in a small scale. They didn’t brush off his or my concerns. His treatment ended after a little over one year, which was faster than we expected. His teeth are aligned as of now, and we await for the second phase, which, I think we’ll have to go through.
The only negative thing that happened during the treatment was that their automatice email appointment confirmation was different from the computer printout I had received from the previous appointment. But this was solved when I made a telephone call.

i have had nothing but positive experiences at this office with dr. williams and all the staff. appointments are always on time, office is clean and pleasant, staff is friendly and engaging. just for the record, i found dr. williams on Unilocal and chose him for the positive reviews. i’m not a friend writing made up reviews. i also want to say that although he suggested invisalign, i opted for standard braces and he was not pushy about it at all. it’s up to you, as a patient, to stand up for what you want. business is business so anyone with a brain would understand why an ortho would want to do more invisalign services because they cost more. doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure that out but that doesn’t mean you HAVE to go that route.
all in all, i have loved my experience and the ease of the whole process.

I first visited Dr. William’s office as a 2nd opinion for my son’s orthodontia consultation in 2008. I was extremely impressed by how clean, organized and professional the office was. My son immediately began treatment and is now in his 2nd phase. My 9 year old daughter has also recently become a patient and we have been very pleased with the outcome so far. I believe Dr. Williams practice is ideal for orthodontic treatment. The staff is very polite, accomodating & keep appointments very much on time. I also appreciate how flexible the office is with setting up payment plans to help with the costs. The office is closed on Fridays and that can be inconvenient at times; however they do a great job scheduling appointments outside of my work schedule. I’ve referred many friends with children to his office and will continue to do so.

I am pretty sure the Dr. is having his friends write the positive reviews. All of his negative ones are filtered. Believe me this otho. is BAD! At one appointment I saw one of his assistants take all of the appliances off a young boy and when Dr. Williams walked by he told his assistant to put all the braces back on because the kid wasn’t suppossed to have them removed yet. I think this is a perfect example of the disorganization of this office. I seriously wonder why this ortho. has not been reported to CDA before.
BEWARE of this ortho! After three years of treatment I had to go to a different ortho. to treat the problems Dr. Williams created. He lied to my insurance company and he will not respond to my requests for a refund. This office is very shady. Please do yourself a favor and find a more reputable ortho.

Our family had a negative experience when this gentleman purchased this practice. He lacked certain orthodontic skills and did not want to complete challenging cases. He was interested in more financially lucrative patients (e.g. Invisalign) rather than hard core braces and solving serious orthodontic issues. Had to find another local orthodontist to complete our son’s case.
Checked into his background and he’d already worked in many previous cities and practices, even though he was not extremely old. Felt like they were chasing reviews and only wanted simple, financially lucrative cases.
BTW, not surprised he immediately had someone submit an opposing review when I returned only a short time later to edit this review. You might want to check out the filtered reviews and talk to other people (non-​Yelpers) who’ve worked with him and his practice before selecting an orthodontist and spending thousands of dollars.
Received better care and a higher level of professionalism from one of the local, long-​term orthodontists in our area. Office staff also lacked professionalism and proper training. They weren’t properly organized and lacked appropriate follow-​up.
Didn’t feel like he was here in the Bay Area for the long-​term and cared.

Very happy with Dr. Williams and his staff — very efficient, friendly office. My only suggestion would be it would be great if they were open on Fridays. That is a work-​at-​home day for me (as it is for lots of parents) so it would be convenient to schedule appts. then. Even if they were only open Friday mornings, it would be awesome.
However, I do appreciate the early morning and late afternoon appts. available on other days of the week.

It’s a big busy office. But don’t let that fool you. Everyone gets individualized attention, and they are super patient with the kids. I wouldn’t take my kids anywhere else.

This is a follow up from 6 months ago. I love this place and my kids love this place. They look forward to coming to each appointment. The staff is top knotch, Dr. Williams is delightful and we are seen on time, every time. I cannot recommend this practice enough! Thank you Dr. Williams!
