Queen of All Saints Catholic Church

He people who run this church is horrible. My niece was baptized here yesterday and the priest kept trying to force her from crying by shoving a pacifier in her mouth and telling her to hush (in front of everybody). And what’s worse, one of the staff have me unnecessary lectures and long speech after I apologized for standing on top of the pews by accident to take photos of my family and friends. These people have a lot to learn about being a Christian/​catholic. They are the ones that makee catholic churches look bad… But all is forgiven and may God bless them!

This church was so pretty! I cant wait to go to mass again.

I love coming to Queen of All Saints !!! Father Mika and Father Enrique are the best I enjoy going to the spanish prayer group every Monday at seven and of course going every Sunday to mass :)other then that I’m in love with our lord Jesus Christ and feel very bless to be part of the community of queen of all saints:)

Four and a half stars! This church is across the school I graduated from recently. It is large and beautiful.

Gayle recently asked me how often I think about getting old. Not that often, but I do think about death a lot, especially with still healthy parents in their 80s and a hometown Iowa friend who is also a funeral director and insightful source of what should be important for a good life.
These thoughts came home today as I attended a funeral at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church for a friend and former work colleague who died too soon at the age of 71. Between family and other work mates, the church was almost full as we celebrated the life of one remarkable man. I found myself openly weeping at the opening prayer and later when I admired the fire truck with his old gear that was parked in front of the Church in his honor. This Jewish Man also found him self cross armed in the Communion line to receive a well appreciated blessing and spiritual moment.
John was married in this church 48 years ago and by the same priest that led today’s Funeral Mass. His uncle was a notable priest here and all 3 of his children were baptized at this alter. 3 other priests who intersected his life were also present. Life had come full circle again.
I enjoyed my short stay at the Queen of All Saints Church. I spent several of my mourning moments staring up at the wood beamed ceiling or at the stained glass windows that seemed to take on a 3-​D quality as I prayed and reflected. It was also pleasant to see many other past and present fellow employees here and to catch up where their lives had led. That has me thinking about getting old a lot more and thankful for the blessings that I have received.

Q A S we are the best !

Yes, I went to church, on a Sunday, no less. Yup, after all these years, it was time to finally have a chat with god and be in an environment where people believed in something good. I’m not a registered Catholic, but I believe in spirituality and finding joy and peace. And I was also curious to see how Catholics practiced their religion since I’ve never attended a mass before. Not to mention a perfect opportunity to learn something new. So fulfilling. I even did the whole «cross» motion and felt so cool.
It was a lovely service and it was nice to hear a sermon about servicing others and giving thanks. We often forget how blessed we are, that we just need to take a look around us. The music was beautiful and it brought me back to the days when I used to be in praise and worship. Talk about a nostalgic moment, brought a huge smile across my face.
While I listened to the priest speak, I asked for forgiveness and to heal those who were hurting, including me. I also asked god to take away all the pain in my life that’s accumulated over the past years. Stuff I never really dealt with but just shoved under the rug because I was so focused on other things and others’ needs, because that was my way of doing «service.»
But, siting in church, I was alone in my thoughts without outside distractions, I was able to comfort myself and find peace within. I reflected upon my life, prayed and left feeling really nourished and thankful.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, shouldn’t we all give thanks?

I have been going to this Catholic Church since Aug 2009, I was baptized in Apr 2010. This is a good Church for anyone seeking a small, friendly congregation. If you have been to other «Christian» churches before or even other Catholic ones and were left with a unholy feeling… put that old memory aside, open your mind and come for a Mass here. With it’s top-​notch RCIA program, you can get your sacraments if you are not a Christian or if you were baptized you can get confirmed. Even if you have already received all of your sacraments, you can get reacquainted with the Church again. I encourage you to try it, you will like it!
The church building itself was thoroughly remolded in 2008 – 9 and it is quite an improvement! Very beautiful stain glass windows, baptismal font, and statues make this Church very pleasing to the eye. The A/​C is good, so you wont have to sweat while you worship!

My parents started attending QAS in 1953 when the church was built and my 10 brothers and sisters and I were all Baptisted here and attended school here. I even got my daughter Baptisted here too…
