Update on this situation, I have called the restaurant a few times and reached only a voicemail box. Noone has bothered to return my call.

Since their opening, service and quality has improved greatly. However, the quality could be improved.

Why do I even bother with this location. I used to love Popeyes food. Every other location i have been to has been a pleasant experience. This particular location continues to be the most unprofessional store I have been to. It seems to be worse on the weekends when management is not around.

They almost got my order right. I got what I paid for, but asked for spicy chicken & they gave me regular which tasted overly fried. Forgot to order extra biscuits & asked for two at the window which they would not accommodate, said there was another customer behind me. There was one. Just one. Fries were cold, clearly cooked WAY before we got them. Not going back. I’ve frequented other Popeyes locations & never had a problem. These guys never get it right.

I would not go here unless you have a hour to wait. I went through the drive thru because I had an appointment n thought it would be faster. In this case it wasn’t. I ordered and paid. And then waited like 7 minutes. And then they tell me to pull to the front because my order wasn’t ready. And there was no one behind me so I didn’t. Then they asked me again. Finally I did. The way their drove thru is placed is hard to get out and get back in parking lot. So I wait another 5 minutes parked. Finally get up and go in. Took about another 7 minutes waiting. The guy next to me said he’s been waiting for 15. They place was slot when I went inside.

Wow. Horrible experience right now. I get there 5 minutes before closing, and they are CLOSED. I had to argue and argue, and argue, with the employee and Manager to let me in, after waiting 3 minutes outside in the cold. Really, this is how a business is run?

The first time I went there I had to wait a half-hour and then they ran out of my food the second time I went the same thing happened. The third time I went they sent me home with the wrong order. And it took 35 minutes. They never seem to have enough experienced help and it shows with the customer service. I will not be going back.

I ordered mashed potato tonight, it basically didn’t come with any gravy. This was my first time getting food from Popeyes since I moved to CA from Iowa, I wasn’t sure if the mashed potatoes come with gravy as what I got in Iowa so I asked the cashier and she said it does come with one scoop of gravy. But you can clearly see there is almost no gravy on my mashed potato. Ended up I paid extra $ 2.5 to get a cup of gravy. A big disappointment to the Popeyes in concord CA

Well… this is only the second time I’ve ever been to a Popeye’s Chicken… And again wasn’t super impressed. Food was okay it wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t great. I did really like their biscuit… They were absolutely fantastic. Not sure if I will come back to Popeyes… Because I think KFC is much better and better priced.

Get rid of the manager of this place. I only go here for the biscuits, shrimp, sweet tea, but that’s going to change. I’m not even kidding, every time I go there something is missing. 1st time, Where’s the dessert I paid for? 2nd time, no spoon to eat beans and rice. 3rd time, the drive through is closed because they’re understaffed, dude at the register is visibly flustered. Takes my order then leaves to use the bathroom for 5 minutes. Comes back and completes making my order(10 minutes total and I only ordered a biscuit and beans and rice). Hire better people, this place is a damn mess!

I was craving for fried chicken and I thought Popeyes was a good choice(for fast food). The guy asked me to wait 3 minutes for the chicken to get ready, which turns out to be 20 minutes. When I got home, I realized he didn’t include the butterfly shrimp that I already paid for So I called and spoke to «GM»(that’s what she called herself). She said I can come back and ask for my shrimp ANYTIME. She said she’ll even give me the meal instead of just the shrimp. she said ANYTIME … «Within 30 days.» I live far from this place. What an inconvenience for a customer to come back for shrimps. And I have to do his within 30 days

Sat at the drive through for literally 14 minutes because of someone ordered tenders and they held up the whole line! Instead of having that car pull to the side they had everyone wait! This is crazy and ridiculous! It’s called fast food for a reason but today it’s hella slow food for sure! This makes absolutely no sense to me! How does a business function with no structure! There should always be food ready to go!!! The cashier general manager so she said she was has horrible customer service skills!

Food is delicious. When it first opened, it would take forever to get food(like 35 minutes) but I went in recently and was served very quickly so maybe that has changed

This location sucks. They always forget something or they are out. And when they do have it, you have to wait 10 – 15 mins for it to be ready. I usually go through the drive thru, but end up having to go inside and wait for it. Idk why they even have a drive thru.

This Popeyes can’t seem to get it together! I’ve been here a handful of times and they always get my order wrong. I went to the drive thru to order a meal and they were completely out of spicy chicken. I asked for all dark meat and they were also out and it would take 15 minutes. I didn’t want to wait because I had my 2 kids in the car(age 4 and 11 months) so I just said«I’ll just take whatever you have.» In addition to my family meal, I ordered a popcorn shrimp and a kids meal. When ordering a drink for my daughter they said they were all out of the Hi-C drinks. She proceeded to tell me all of the soda(my daughter is 4 and doesn’t drink soda) then she said«oh I’m sorry we do have all flavors of Hi-C which do you want?» So I ordered fruit punch and went to the window to pay. As I pulled up to the window she said«oh we don’t have any Hi-C flavors.» At that point, I was so annoyed that the whole time she was telling me what they didn’t have! My 11 month old was crying and I was just trying to get them home. She hands me my change(paid cash) with no receipt, and the bag of food. I asked her if everything was in there; the biscuits, popcorn shrimp, kids meal and she confirmed YES. I get home 15 minutes later and what do you know, the popcorn shrimp is missing. I called right away and the manager asked for my receipt number to confirm that I had indeed paid for it. I told him the girl did not give me a receipt, probably because she did not want me to do the survey. The manager apologized and said if we wanted to come back he would give 2 orders of the popcorn shrimp and a side. Luckily my husband agreed to go. As we were eating our meal my daughter kept saying that her nuggets were spicy. I insisted that they weren’t and told her to continue eating. After she ate 2 pieces I took a bite of one and indeed they were spicy! They were orange inside and spicy! I was so pissed at this point. Why would they put spicy nuggets in a kids meal?! It wasn’t even worth it for me to call and complain anymore. I will never come here again. Worst Popeyes around!

Not really sure what all the bad reviews are about. My guess would be from people that expect way too much from a fast food chicken place and its minimum wage employees. I went in today last minute to get a sizable amount of chicken for a pot luck since I worked all morning and had no time to make it myself. Not only was I greeted immediately upon entry but I also received extremely friendly service and got my food and was on my way very quickly. The chicken was a hit with everyone.

I love Popeye’s spicy chicken tenders and I love Chik-Fil-A. I do. Anytime it’s late and I’m lacking will power you might find me at one of the two. Having just moved here from TX and up for a late night snack I figured why not. And it begins. I realize it’s fast food but the people working here couldn’t give a cat’s meow if it’s after 10pm. No adults present and they’re counting down the time. Add to that the classy clientele of kids who’s parents obviously aren’t parenting and you have yourself a local gas station hangout where the kids stare you down while you wait for your food. Here’s the food! 12 piece spicy tender meal with fries and biscuits. Smells divine and we’re ready to jet. Survived the tattooed camo wearing jeans around the thighs teenagers, time for some Popeyes! Arrive home to find that not only were some of the tenders mild and not spicy, but they weren’t hardly battered/breaded and we were missing a few. Know beforehand what you’re getting yourself into and try another Popeye’s. Combine the ambience and service of this location and we won’t be coming to this one again.

This place is really deserving of the 2 – 3 stars it currently has. My bf and I ordered the 12 piece spicy chicken strips with 2 sides and 6 biscuits. The biscuits were really good, but the order of fries weren’t really fresh and the chicken strips were really sad looking. The box had a piecemeal of 12 strips that were really small and not well battered. All of the other locations I’ve been to would have substantially sized strips and would even add a few extra for the road. Despite the quality of the food, the servers were pretty friendly… hence why I’m giving this place 2 stars.

Finally a local Popeye’s! I can now hopefully put an end to those pesky Pavlovian responses when driving down the freeway on a road trip and seeing Popeye’s as an upcoming food option! For fried chicken lovers, the addiction is real. As is the stomach growling and the mouthwatering. And our local Popeye’s was a Louisana Blast! Corny I know, but this is genuine happiness talking. BF and I went through their drive-thru to grab lunch, ordering combo meals. The food came up quickly, but my gut told me something might be amiss. Sure enough when snooping through the bags, BF’s side order of red beans and rice was missing, but was replaced by Cajun fries. We parked and I headed inside to fix the sitch. The employees looked a tad frightened to see a customer who had been served back in line, and I received a lot of awkward eye contact. But the girl who assisted me took my bag and receipt, added the red beans and rice, advising me she had put it in the bag along with the fries, and politely apologized for the error. That’s all I ask! Mistakes happen, just do the right thing when they do. Thank you Popeye’s peeps! Back home the food was everything I remembered and loved! Spicy fried chicken, cooked juicy and perfect, and their rockin’ Cajun fries(sadly that’s their only side I like — their coleslaw and mac n’ cheese are pretty darn lackluster, especially compared to the coleslaw at KFC which is like a drug ya just can’t quit). The included biscuit was tasty as well, though we didn’t realize until arriving home that we weren’t offered the usual butter, honey or hot sauce. So while our intro to our local Popeye’s perhaps had a few hitches, the important part was that their food is as yummy as we remembered. As with all new restaurants, allow a little leeway for screw-ups, as you see in my experience they handled it properly and professionally. Also be warned, their parking lot is tiny and shared with a gas station so it can be a little precarious. Be on your guard! Other than that, I look foward to my return trips to OURLOCALPOPEYE’s! I just keep saying it cuz it’s so delightful to say!
