Montessori School of Concord

I was pregnant with the second child, and needed to find childcare for one of my children. I wasn’t sure if I should put the soon to be infant, or my 3 year old in a childcare set up. I visited so many places.
Long story short, I ended up choosing Montessori of Concord for my 3 year old. The director Mrs. Delmy has been over the top accommodating with my work schedule, and other needs. My daughter is starting kindergarten in August, if not for getting into Monte Gardens, I would be keeping her here. She can already read and write, add and subtract. She has been learning American sign language even. A couple teachers speak Spanish as well.
Her little girlfriend is learning multiplication! What 5 year old can multiply? These kids can!
The school will help them to excel where they need it, and isn’t focused on a cookie cutter curriculum. There are lots of options for all day, or half day care. There are definitely teachers here I prefer over others. I wish they had a garden to teach the kids more about the earth etc. But, those complaints are really reaching for suggestions to the school. The teachers here are very loving, and dedicated to your kids. I would highly recommend.

My two sons go to The Montessori School of Concord. It’s been about a year since they started. I initially enrolled them so that can socialize with children their age. I was told by the director that they will learn to read, write, and learn mathematics to say the least. My boys are two and four years old.
My four year old can read, write, add and subtract.
My two year old knows all of his colors and numbers.
They have learned tasks as simple as cleaning up after themselves, being respectful to others, not to talk while they are chewing food, push in their chairs once finished, wash hands, and the list goes on.
I give a special thanks to all five teachers involved in helping me raise my children.
Mrs. Edith, Mrs. Neda, Miss Monica, Mrs. Pat, and lastly, the director Mrs. Delmy.
They all have a special way of nurturing our children, making them feel safe, and making me as a parent feel content as I say goodbye to them for the day.

My son started Montessori of Concord in August, right before the school season started. Being that I was starting school myself, I needed daycare before Sept and our other daycare no longer had room after the the summer break.
I love the progress my son has made since attending in August. He turned 4 in Oct and has already started reading. The other night, he finished a book at my table without any assistance. His reading comprehension is great and tells me why the sentences are funny or absurd. At home, he is more helpful and wants to do things for himself, like pouring beverages and setting the table. Everyday he is learning new things and enjoying the process.
All the teachers are very caring with every child. He is in Mr. Andy’s class and it is wonderful to have a positive male influence in a preschool setting. The children get plenty of learning time and outside time. The director, Ms Delmy is also caring and knows all the children by name and truly enjoys her job.
The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because I would like more feedback on what jobs my son does each day, so I can have a better dialog each day with my son about what he did or learned. I think a daily board with the children’s names and a list of jobs would alleviate my issue and raise my rating.
I always feel secure and safe leaving my child in their care and am pleased with my decision to enroll my son here.

I like the fact that you can start any time during the year (based on availability). It’s been tough to look for a school setting for a 3.5yo, instead of a daycare. Great curriculum and very organized. Ms. Delmy is very friendly and accommodating. She explained everything thoroughly. This is based from 5 preschool tours I’ve done. I would love for my daughter to go here but 5 days is too much right now for my little girl.
