Tried this food truck while at the Greensboro(Spring Garden) Food Truck Festival. Of course it is bacon themed as every menu item has bacon in it. They had some interesting choices and if you are bacon freak, you might like a combo of something like bacon and cheesecake. Interesting. I got the Piggy Panini($ 8) and would get this again. It is ham, bacon, some kind of smokey type gouda cheese spread, spinach, and tomato on a buttery sourdough bread. As far as bacon is concerned, there wasn’t much of it on this sandwich and I thought for a bacon themed truck, it would have more. But no worries as it still was great. I thought the cheese spread was smokey and greasey enough to give the sandwhich good flavor and moisture. By far the best thing about the sandwich for me was the bread. It was toasted perfectly with buttery sour awesomeness and I could sit around and eat this by itself for days. Good sandwhich. This truck seemed to be intriguing to people at the festival as people really hovered around the vehicle looking at menus. Some were in disbelief. When I got in line, there were about ten customers ahead of me but it moved super quick. The lady taking orders takes your name and another dude would call out your name when food is ready. I would say it took me less than five minutes from the back of the line until I got my food. And most of this time was people ordering and doing their transaction on an Ipad. These people had their stuff together in the efficiency department. Uh huh.

I’ve tried this truck once and may need some time to unclog my arteries after all that delicious bacon and fried food. There are a lot of different bacon menu items, ranging from something simple like a BLT or bacon burger to more interesting bacon items like the desserts. Anyone who is a bacon lover will enjoy this truck! Also their fries were good and a perfect complement to the bacon sandwich I had.

Got to try this awesome food truck while it was parked outside of one of my favorite spots in Dilworth: Bulldog Beer & Wine. The weather was pretty krappy(misty/rain/cold) but those guys and gals were working hard on the truck bringing bacon joy to anyone that was willing(for a Thursday). I originally came to Bulldogs to hang out and have a beer, but the truck was there and all the folks at the bar were raving about some of the food that the Master Bacon truck puts out. Today’s special was a bacon-wrapped California roll… which I never thought was possible. But with this food truck, everything is either packed with bacon or wrapped in it. I even checked out their FB page and it had some bacon-wrapped-deep fried Oreos… Will have to build up the stomach lining for that one but on paper sounds delicious. Ended up ordering a special and also their bacon-wrapped jalapenos as an appetizer. Those jalapenos packed a punch. Fresh, and rather large, the jalapenos were stuffed to perfection with homemade gouda cheese and generously wrapped in bacon… sooooo good. Had just the right amount of spicy from the pepper and salty/savory flavor from the bacon and cheese. YUM. The california roll delivered on taste and flavor… I never thought I would be eating sushi quite like that but it totally worked. They even put a little dollop of sriracha and a wasabi cream sauce over top… total rave party in your mouth. The roll took a while to make — but the folks on the truck warned me ahead of time and were super nice. Definitely worth the wait. Next time I see this truck I will immediately break any and all traffic rules to park and place multiple orders.

Delicious, I am ready for a nap now. Flavors were excellent. Potato wedges skin on, crispy outside, soft inside just like it should be. Whatever seasoning is on there is superb. I also order the angus burger, the mayo wasn’t just mayo, it was special mayo, which made the burger special. Perfect temperature and just the right amount of bacon.

I had the opportunity to try this food truck at Charlotte’s Oktoberfest. I am so glad I had used my meat day for this. Who could give up bacon completely? Master Bacon had the longest line at the event and I am not sure how long my friend and I waited but compared to other food truck lines, this one moved very slowly. Once I made it to the front of the line, I ordered the BellyDamGould Grilled Cheese and a side of potato wedges. The good thing is despite the ordering line taking forever, it was rather quick to receive your food. The Grilled cheese consisted of smoked pork, gouda cheese and of course, bacon on sourdough bread, It was fantastic. Definitely lots of cheese in this and the flavors were amazing. The potato wedges were brown and crispy. Service wise, despite the line, I thought they were friendly and efficient. After trying their food, I can see why the were the longest line. Good stuff, not something I would do all the time since bacon isn’t good for my cholesterol but definitely something I would do as a treat.

Giggled a bit when we happened across this food truck at drumSTRONG last weekend. It’s painted to resemble an ambulance and says«BACONRESPONSEUNIT» in huge letters. A little ironic if you ask me. There were a couple classics on the menu such as bacon burger and pork rinds but also more inventive items such as a bacon wrapped hotdog. I got the piggy panini with ham, bacon, smoked gouda, lettuce and tomato. All the ingredients were plentiful and seemed to be very fresh. Perfect meal on a great day, cold beer, and live music. Yum! The attendants at the truck, though very friendly, seemed to be a little discombobulated and confused. Not sure if they were expecting as big a crowd. Didn’t matter, the food came out within a reasonable time frame and, as I said, delicious. Not sure there was anything else I’d order on the menu but i’d be interested to see how this place does once they really get going! Check it out!
