She is very knowledgable, personable, professional and best of all, low-​key and not pushy. We are so glad to have gone through the buying process with her assistance. Many questions came up with our lake house purchase and us coming in from out of town and if Amy didn’t have the answers, she efficiently and effectively found out the information and recommended great people along the way. The young photographer, Danielle (?) did a great job capturing the house’s many attributes and getting a good selection on the web.
The house was under contract, WITH A SECOND OFFER WAITING IN THE WINGS, in less than 24 hours officially on the market! It was shown *only twice,* that I’m aware of! Getting two offers from two showings, on the first day it was available to show, was not something we were entirely prepared for!
Leigh Brown did a great job while Lawrence was on vacation, walking me through the negotiation process, and helping us get a signed contract. We got just about what we expected we would get.

There were numerous complications associated with the BUYERS’ situation (selling their home, their buyers’ financing and closing timing, financing the purchase of ours, title search, etc.). Our buyers also wanted numerous inspections beyond the first one. So we settled the entire transaction about 22 days later than anticipated.
Leigh Brown’s team did their part to make the entire process as smooth as possible, even when the buyers were delaying the process with hiccup after hiccup. We are happy to have the place sold, and would recommend Leigh’s team to anyone.

My wife and I recently moved from Texas to Charlotte, NC and we worked with Amy Gamble at Leigh Brown and Associates. We had very limited access to the area during our housing search, which could have made the process difficult and frustrating. Instead, Amy and her team did an absolutely terrific and thorough job walking us through each step, visiting properties for us, and making things easy for us. As first time home buyers, we needed an agent who would be willing to explain each step, give solid advice, and keep things as simple as possible. Amy met and exceeded our expectations, going above and beyond what was necessary to ensure a smooth and painless buying process. Leigh and her entire team were on the ball from day one! Our family had already relocated out of town but Leigh was able to conference with us via the web. Before Leigh Brown our house sat on the market off and on for nearly two years and we had two prior agents that just could not sell our house. Leigh was not intimidated, though, she knew exactly what changes needed to be made to get our house sold. Actions speak even louder than words because we were in a contract within 2 days of listing our house! We just closed yesterday!

Leigh and her team are the BEST. Our house went on the market in October and sold in March. Their presentations of our property on the web and in marketing materials produced a continual flow of showings, even during the dark days of Dec and Jan. They were johnny on the spot in responding to showing agents’ questions.
They kept us informed of comments from potential buyers with each and every showing and never left us without marketing materials at the house. Leigh helped us through the negotiation process to arrive at a better than hoped for sale price. Communication post-​contract was exceptional and kept the process moving forward. After meeting with a previous realtor who helped us buy our first house, we were less than impressed with that realtor’s promptness and knowledge of our local market, and particularly the way she dismissed our conversations because she knew what we wanted better than we did. Jamie and I decided we needed to reach out for another opinion, and we found Leigh Brown and Associates through Dave Ramsey’s Endorsed Local Provider program.
We set a meeting at Leigh’s office, and she spent over an hour with us during the first meeting — we went through every house listed for sale or that recently sold in our neighborhood and those immediately surrounding. We left with a crystal clear understanding of which houses were selling, in what price range, and why. As soon as we walked out of her office my wife and I looked at each other and knew the only decision was to hire Leigh and her team to sell our home.
Once we were ready to list our home, Leigh came out, walked through the house with us and detailed everything she thought we needed to do in order to show the house as best we could. Ranging from repainting baseboards to deep cleaning carpets to rearranging furniture, to de-​cluttering; we covered a lot of territory. We took some time and followed all of Leigh’s suggestions to prepare the house to list.
When we officially put the house on the market Leigh brought in her marketing specialist, Virginia. Virginia prepared flyers for the yard, brochures to leave out for prospective buyers, and marketed our home on what seemed like every web site ever created. We had 3 showing requests the first 24 hours the home was on the market — one of them even came back through for a second showing right away! Their marketing never died down, we averaged a couple showings every week the whole time our house was on the market.
Leigh and Virginia kept in contact with us on a weekly basis with marketing reports showing how our house was marketed, real estate trends in our local area showing us how similar homes were being bought/​sold, and other frequent communication on how to handle questions that we had from time to time.
When we had an offer we wanted to accept, Leigh Strickland took over — she handled all of the details from that point with regard to the contracts, scheduling the inspectors, and coordinating everything with the buyer’s agent. She did a great job preparing us for the closing, we never felt overwhelmed or in over our heads — we always knew what to expect and how to handle each step of the process.
We are also using Amy Gamble, another of Leigh Brown’s amazing team members, to work with us in building our new home. Amy has been nothing short of amazing, but I’ll save that review for when that house is complete.
Overall our experience was phenomenal, when we are ready to sell again, we will absolutely call Leigh Brown and her team. The entire process was exactly what we needed — they constantly fed us information and answered questions we didn’t even know we should be asking!
