Kianas Sari-Sari takes me back during my visits in Manila, particularly during the time that I had to bring back some«padala»(souvenirs or Filipino goods) for my relatives here in the states. Little did I know, there are a few Sari-Sari stores here in the Bay Area(a convenience store usually found in rural province in the Philippines). Had I known this beforehand, this could’ve saved me the hassle of having to lug those white«Balikbayan» boxes!” «fml» This Sari-Sari store even sold«Parol» which is a decked up star usually hung during Christmas times. It symbolizes the festive months during the birth of Jesus Christ and to show everyone the spirit of Christmas. I also found some really cool and well made Saints here. Their St. Anthony was very well made. The lady who helped me was very nice. She showed me the little trinkets that she had for sale particularly the one that caught my eye, some of the sea shells lanterns found in Boracay Island, where I spent time snorkeling! If you are looking for Filipino gifts, or to rekindle your decorating spirit from the island, I suggest you come here and check this place out. This Sari-Sari is located adjacent to Seafood City with plenty of parking. Best of all, there are tons of Filipino food inside this mall especially after you get tired shopping! If you feel a bit homesick and need some inspiring remembrance, why not stop by here too. It might bring back good memories, new and old! Until then, Cheers! ~ :p
