History

Established in 1963.

Arnold Byrd establised this agency in 1963, and has been at the same location since 1964. Arnold retired at the age of 84 and sold the business to his only two grandchildren, Jeremy Blackwell and Jessica Blackwell Tucker. As third generation agents, they continue their family’s business.

Jeremy is a 1995 graduate of Concord High School and holds a B.S. in Finance from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His career began with the Byrd Agency November 1, 1999. As of May 2010, he was named co-​owner of the agency.
