After not being to the dentist in 4 years, i decided to see Dr. Young because my husband had such good things to say about him. I was embarrassed and reluctant to go back to the dentist, but Dr. Young was understanding and patient. He made me feel very computable & was optimistic he could restore my oral health. After several appointments, he was able to get me back on track! He has also gotten my 4 year old comfortable at the dentist. Dr. Young is kind, caring & professional; I can’t say enough good things about him.

Took me a long time to settle on a Dentist and I have to say that Jeffrey is about perfect. He takes his time to explain the process and procedures with you so you always know what’s going on. I’m recommending him to everyone I know that needs a DDS.

Unfortunately, the hours he works is hard to get an appt if you work the same hours… and they take a summer break?! Never heard of that, had to switch dentists because the timing was way off

As other reviewers have said, Dr. Young does everything himself, from the cleanings to the X-​rays, to the procedures. He does not rely on a hygenist. He provides excellent care and does not recommend unecessary procedures. His focus is on helping patients maintain healthy teeth and gums. Other dentists these days focus more on the cosmetic side and are trying to create an army of patients with glow in the dark, unnaturally white teeth and capped, fake-​looking soap opera star teeth.
If you want an excellent dentist who looks at his patients as people and not as a profit center, Dr. Young is your guy.

My Mum is 73, I look after her. Last night she «lost» her front tooth. She does not dental insurance. I called a few dentist, most wanted $ 100 just for the visit. And estimated $ 500 for the treatment. Dr. Young arranged to she her the same day. He charged her $ 90, and did the work in 20 mins. What can I say? Mum loves him!
Very smart guy also, UC Berkeley, UCSF.
He gave her a lot of time which she appreciated, talking about her family.
His receptionist is awesome also. If you are in the Bay Area and need a Dentist, go see Dr. Young!

My wife’s family has been going to Jeff and before that his Dad. Now we have three generations of us all with happy teeth. Jeff is very professional, and yes he does it all himself. My son Ben is eight, and first went in at age three. Ben has no cavities and looks forward to going to the dentist! Thank you Jeff and Marge.

Dr. Young is the best! I am 33 and have been going to this office my whole life. Dr. Young initially worked with Dr. Young, Sr., who was my very first dentist! If you want honesty, integrity, and a gentle touch, go see Jeffrey Young. He has a great personality/​bedside manner. He genuinely cares about his patients. He and his father have provided dental care to my entire extended family for 40+ years. He NEVER does unnecessary work and he knows there are plenty out there that do. This is a very old school operation that you will be sure to appreciate. There are no dental assistants. Dr. Young does everything including cleanings and x-​rays. I have referred everyone I know to see him and they have not been disappointed. Neither will you!

I have been seeing Dr. Young since 1996. He’s a great dentist, and I won’t see anyone else even though I have moved out of the East Bay since 1999. He’s very gentle, helpful and cares about his patients. You are seeing an experienced dentist every time, since he does everything himself and doesn’t have a dental assistant in his office.
I actually enjoy seeing Dr. Young every six months and always feel good in saying that I have a conservative dentist who is taking care of my crappy teeth so I don’t need dentures by the time I’m 40. I actually asked him that once, and he assured me I’ll be ok. And I believe him.

Jeffrey is an excellent dentist. He is gentle and professional. I’ve referred friends and family. Dr. Young does all the cleaning including waxing, flossing and x-​rays himself. Going to the dentist doen’t have to be painful.
