Meet the Business Owner
Michelle I.
Business Owner
I started Ianiro Productions because as a frustrated playwright, I was constantly being met with limitations and theme requirements for almost every festival or program that I tried submitting my plays to. I wanted an opportunity to read and perform and write plays that would appeal to many and not a small select group of «theater types» –so I came up with Ianiro Productions.
I have now successfully produced my first full lenght play, Abigail Dreary and most recently produced and directed Eric Inman’s Bound By Blood playing 10÷6÷2012 thru 10/27/2012 at the Boxcar Playhouse in San Francisco.
It’s because of Ianiro Productions that these two plays were able to be fully produced. My goal is to have many more Bay Area playwrights who may not fit the SF Playwrites Foundation scene or BOA, be able to have their new works go from page to stage in a high profile staged reading or a full production. Though I support both organizations, I felt the necessity to provide an alternative.
