If I had long enough breaks when I used to work at the mall, I’d definately come here. Tuna Sandwiches, Turkey and fresh mozzarella, Soups, and Paninnis are my faves here. Salads are ok, I think it depends how fresh it is. One of my favorite sandwich places to come to, just wish they didn’t have it only in the mall.

We used to come here for lunch a lot(at least once a week) and somehow never got sick of it. I take this to mean that this place is pretty good. I always opt for the sandwich and soup combo. I love love love their turkey mozzarella on sourdough. We order avocado on the side and add it to the sandwich. All of their soups are great but I generally go for the tomato basil. It has pieces of ravioli in it and is really hearty and rich. We always call in the order and they are very prompt at having it ready for us. Their portions are extremely generous. When you order half sandwich and half soup — they essentially give you a whole sandwich. I’m full by the time I finish my soup so I usually can only eat half of my «half sandwich». I’ve had their pastries before too. All very good. Stop by here for lunch if you are shopping at Sunvalley. Prices are right, too, considering they are in the mall.

I love to get a sandwich here. I usually end up cruising the bakery and bringing home a loaf or two of bread. It’s much better than Panera and it’s fresh baked. Just don’t get too much at one time, no matter how much it call’s your name… Ohhh Bee… Hello, over here, pick me. Limit yourself to what you can eat in a few days, or otherwise it will be wasted. This is fresh, preservative free bread, so it won’t last 10 years like Wonder Bread. But I wonder, how could you live without it? Even my «junk food junkie» son loves to have lunch with their ½ sandwich and cup of soup(or small side salad). Forget McDonalds — Here you can have a yummy sandwich and Crème Brulee.

One of my regular places at Sun Valley to eat at — whether I’m working there or not. I usually get the ½ sandwich and salad special with a caesar salad and a grilled ham and swiss and I have to say for being a special the portions are generous. The sandwich was a full one! The wait, don’t get me started on the wait, this place probably ranks up with Johnny Rocket’s and Todai to have one of the longest wait times — NOT good if you’re on a 15 minute!

I used to have lunch here when I worked at the mall 3 – 4 times a week. A lot of their sandwiches and salads are delectable, my favorite is the Turkey Avocado on wheat with a half cesar salad. Mmm, now I’m craving it. I might need to take a trip to the Bay Area for it.

When I worked at the mall, this was my favorite place to get lunch! They have the half soup/half sandwich or half salad/half sandwich or soup/salad combo for 6.95. And the portion of the sandwich, soup, and salad is big… the sandwich is so not half a sandwich in my book, it’s like a full sized one! My favorite is their chicken salad(it has apples in it! yum!) on foccacia and clam chowder. I also love getting their creamy french bread… its a french bread with custard. Their chocolate dream cake is also so yummie too. But their crème brûlée is not. It tends to get busy some times so you just have to go at the right time.

Grain D’or Bakery is a good spot to eat when you need to pick something up at the mall during your lunch hour. I usually get the half-sandwich half-soup combo and have been pretty happy with the quality of the food. The service is okay, but the employees tend to be a bit rude.
