FIAT of Concord – Service

I’ve read the reviews regarding service here but my experience was different… as far as customer service and responsiveness Peter is an awesome guy, did everything I need for my 32k mile service his recommendations and couldnt be happier… their shuttle service is top notch, the driver is great didnt want me to wait for hertz and voluntarily took me there… only complain I have is they should have a loaner especially for major service or warranty work… maybe I’m spoiled with Porsche and Bmw but it would help a lot. :) other than that I have no complaints about their service department.

My brand new 2015 Fiat 500C has 800 miles on it and transmission problems. (That is another negative review for Fiat)
I took it to Fiat of Concord who kept the car overnight, drove it (for like 100 miles) and confirmed the problem. The first time I talked to the service department they said it would take a couple days to fix it and bring it in. Okay. So when I bring the car in, someone else in the service department was extremely rude and nasty. He said I have to make an appointment down the road and rent a car since they won’t give me a loaner and who knows how long it will take to fix it. SERIOUSLY? Get Fiat to give you a loaner he says. So I call Fiat directly and they tell me I have to rent a car from Hertz and I can submit the invoice and they will review it and reimburse me so much a day if it is approved. This whole situation is unbelievable. NEVER buy a Fiat. The main company doesn’t stand behind their vehicles and obviously the dealership doesn’t either.

Update on the Fiat fiasco:
We went to pick up our car today and was verbally assaulted by the service personnel Peter. He told Val Alex Empleo: get your f***ing car out of here you f**got! Wow is all I could say! Someone needs to remind this guy he is at work and not at home where he could spit out all his low class, uneducated upbringing.

Please read this review, I never have taken the time to write on Unilocal in the past, but this dealership is the worst I have ever experienced! I have purchased a fiat 500 with the maintenance coverage! I have used this dealership three time for service and each time there has been a problem but today I was floored by the customer service ! Scott belt the service manager was one of the individuals and Shawn the service tech and Peter also the service tech) please be warned they don’t care about you or your car! I took the time to make the appointment and when I arrived was told sorry it will be 5 hours for the car! to be fixed When I tried to speak with Scott the service manager he spent more time telling me what I had done wrong then trying to help me ! When he provided no options for me accept his wisdom on making sure documentation was done on my part when speaking with anyone at the dealership! So my options was to be screwed or leave! When I opted to leave and thought bringing this experience to the dealership managers attention Matt ! Matt became violent telling they had worked with me and to get the Fuck off his property I was a pussy! This is type of people that work At this dealership please please do not purchase a single thing through this company

The service department was extremely responsive and helpful!

My Fiat 500 Pop needed an oil change and I grew increasingly sad and worried reading all the horrible reviews for Fiat dealerships all over the Bay Area. With the closure of the San Francisco location, the Berkeley location is even more strapped than it already was, apparently making their service and interactions worse than ever, if that’s even possible.
My direct experience was also bad trying to make an appointment at Berkeley, where I live… first I was incited by the chat popup while on their website and thought I’d give it a try — had a very nice interaction at first with someone who asked me details and said they’d get back to me. 2 days go by and no contact. Sigh. So I decide to call as a last attempt and got tossed around on the phone a bunch, finally getting to someone who was a bit snippy and found they couldn’t fit me in for 2 weeks, and even that was sounding tentative. When asked they admitted they are overwhelmed with taking on overflow from the SF closure AND having to take on other Chrysler and related cars (?!). Come on huge corporate owners… give your people some more resources!
So I started calling around the other dealers, and decided to give Concord a try. I needed a hubcap also and they said they had one in stock, and they said I could come by and use their express lane service for the oil change, first come first served, anytime over the next few days. I was really worried I’d be there all day and then they wouldn’t be finished, etc. like other customers have described, but I took a chance and went out there first thing on a Saturday, and it was GREAT! I was the first person there, they said it would take 1.5 hours and it took 2 at the most, they called me twice to check in, they had the hubcap in stock and put it on during the oil change, and they noticed a tail light out and charged a reasonable amount ($ 20) to fix it at the same time.
I was really happy, and really pleasantly surprised since I really thought it was going to be horrible and I was going to have to call someone to come get my while my car stayed overnight just for an oil change. I will be going to Concord in the future, even though ironically there is a dealership I drive by daily where I live. All my interactions with the people there were neutral at worst and very pleasant at best.

I’ve waited several months to write this review, but after three failed attempts to reach the service department today I guess it’s just time. Of course the receptionist’s quip, «would you like me to have them call you?» didn’t help. My frustration combined with the mildly snide, «well, they’re probably helping other customers,» didn’t help either. Having to call back twice because the guy in the sales department couldn’t transfer me fairly sucked too. (Can any business out there in the whole world realize that the person answering your phone is important?). I don’t rail against one person in the case of Concord Fiat, however. It’s symptomatic of every phone interaction since I bought my car. My insurance company needed loss-​payee info: they tried reaching out; I tried reaching out; multiple times later we finally pierce the bubble – the GM stepped in, kindly, with an apology. I bought my car at this dealership despite the poor reviews. Did they try to sell me an extended warranty without mentioning it? Check. Nevertheless, they had the manual I wanted. As of today, my car is being serviced at the dealership in SF. These guys just need an upgrade. Here’s one for the next person who answers the phone at Concord Fiat and needs, no doubt, after the forth failed transfer to the Service Department to cover up for the lack of service: «I am sorry. Everyone in the service department is helping other customers. Give me your name and number and I will have them call you back in the next fifteen minutes.»

Didn’t buy my Fiat here but have cone here a few times for service. Let’s just say they make you feel like they are doing some kind of favor for you. I have been waiting for parts to fix my driver side seat and they keep saying they only have 1 technician to fix this and I will have to come back. Very frustrating and once I get my seat fixed I am going to drive to Dublin for service. Never buying a fiat again ;(

Horrible service. Horrible attitude to customers.
There was a recall on our leased Fiat 500e. Called them up. Said it would take a month to get us in. (Sounds ridiculous, but that’s not Concord’s fault…) So we made the appointment, were told it would take 3 ½ hours. Fine. Take lunch, bring a book. But it means a day in which we all have to arrange alternative transport.
When the day finally arrived (today), we were told (a) yes, we did have an appointment, but (b) it would take all day, not 3 ½ hours, but also © they didn’t have the part, so we’d need to reschedule. After a month waiting for an appointment. Next appointment time? Distant future. We’ll go back to McKevitt in Berkeley (another story getting THEM to schedule us, but unlike Julia our experience there has been overall positive).
The kicker being, there was no apology, no «wow, we screwed up, sorry for the inconvenience.» Grrrr.

This place is a rip off, every time I come here for an oil change I have to argue with the service department because they don’t want to honor my lifetime oil change warranty. On top of that they always come up with things my car needs done. Rick Souza is by the worst to deal with especially when he claims to want my «business» yet he doesn’t want to do my oil change because I didn’t buy my car from the fiat. I’ll definitely not buy another car from here again…

I had a fantastic experience with servicing my Fiat here today!
I was skeptical and almost didn’t want to come bc of the low star rating and so I called the Berkeley location first (had a terrible experience which I will go into detail on in my Unilocal review of that site).
Anyway, I was told that they could help me right away so I drove my car down and arrived 30 minutes later. I needed to get my oil changed (they have an express line to do that so no appt needed); to have someone check out the sensor light for my tire pressure (it’s not working correctly); and to order a new hubcap.
I was helped by Tony — SUCH A FRIENDLY AND POLITE GUY!!! He suggested that I take my dog (who was with me) on a trail walk. There is an awesome trail located right next to the dealer!!! A good chunk of it is paved so you don’t even need your hiking shoes!
One downside: the waiting room is kind of unpleasant (though on par with pretty much any service location so it didn’t really bother me); super loud blaring TV and furniture looks like it could be replaced… so just be prepared to go for a little walk :)
Overall, I would absolutely come back for any future issues for my Fiat and recommend this place to anyone needing service for their Fiat!
Best news: my entire total at the end of all this with a full vehicle inspection and an oil change was around $ 36. Amazing!

I have read the other reviews and I have to say that my experience was different. I purchased my 500e from Fresno Fiat because Concord had sold out of their cars. (BTW Ed T… I called all over the state and couldn’t find a Fiat Dealerships that was honoring the advertised lease… seems like a case for the State of California Attorney General). Anyway, Concord Fiat has bent over backwards to help me with my new car. They had to give me the bad news about the recall, but they took my (almost) daily calls (26 days) inquiring about the return of my car with polite grace. The car has had some issues, but Concord Fiat has taken good care of me and my car. I can’t vouch for their sales department, but their service department has been outstanding. I think most car dealerships are creepy and sleazy. I would rather get my teeth pulled without Novocain than buy a new car. That being said, these folks seem no worse than any other dealership AND their service department seems quite good.

Okay okay I thought I had completed a review for this place last time I was here. Last time I was here and when I bought Griffin (my fiat I named after the sales guy) everyone was great awesome outstanding. This time it was a one start experience. You would think you’ve spent a lot of money in this place everyone would treat you like gold, not the case. The guy in service was a total anus. A ton of attitude just because he didnt understand I had purchased a care agreement and he had to figure out what it was and clear it with a bunch of people before he gave it back to me. -.- super rude. Once he cleared it with 100 people he said «hang on to that» Yeah douche I know for people like you. I wonder if I can go to Fiat of Fremont and get my oil changes from now on? -.-

I originally purchased my Fiat 500 sport 5 speed manual from Fiat of Fremont and will NEVER be returning to them after visiting Fiat of Concord. These guys are the real deal and won’t try to play games like my experience continued to be at Fiat of Fremont. The reason I originally visited Fiat of Concord was because Mike the service tech in Fremont told me that my irregular engine noise was absolutely not a problem and that if there was any problem it was me being «too anal» about the sounds of the vehicle. The very second I came into Concord we did a road test and the tech Brian immediately noticed the irregular sound and told me I could come in and drop the car off to be fixed at anytime. I dropped it off a couple days later and within a couple weeks my Fiat was working great again (they had to do some very extensive work). Fiat of Concord is the only place you want to go for the best service, attitudes, and professionally qualified personnel.

Returned for service on my Fiat Walter and Rick took great care of my Fiat and even detailed the car for me I highly reccomned this dealership

This is the worst auto repair place I have ever visited. They used to be a great service shop honest and trust worthy but after FIAT took over they are crooks.
Do not go here to repair your car. I went here to see about my thermostat problem I stated that the housing and thermostat needed to be replaced. They said they had to do a diagnostics test to «make sure.» They charged me 145.00 dollar fee for this test only to tell me that yes these items need to be replaced then gave me a quote that was 300% more than the local guys. Also their so called test was turn the car on and saw the problem. The guy even had the nerve to say well I found this other problem with our free inspection. So essentially I paid 145 for a free inspection.
I would go to DeCarlos Auto repair instead.
