Eyebrow Art

I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years. I was in town from Los Angeles and needed my brows done. I had a great experience here. Walked in, waited a few minutes for the woman to finish threading her current customer. She didn’t seem to rush the other customer to get to me. She efficiently threaded my eyebrows, trimmed my brows and then touched up again. Several times, she asked me to «check» her work before continuing, which I appreciated as a new customer. I asked her to take a few more hairs off to smooth out the arch and she did so perfectly. She wasn’t bothered with me asked to take a few hairs off here or there. If you wanT something, ask for it! $ 20 for eyebrows and upper lip.

I only gave them 3 stars because the lady who did my eyebrows made them UNEVEN. she usually does my eyebrows really nicely but today she made one if them arch higher than the other. I’ll try and give them another chance though. Might be back.

I usually go to this place to get my brows done and usually they do a good job. Today I came in with makeup on my eyebrows and I asked her to remove it — at first I thought she was using water but it was rubbing alcohol! It made my eyes burn and water. When she was threading, it was more painful than usual and she made my brows are very thin.

She just started on my brows and then another customer come and tells her 2 mins. And she would b done with me. She didn’t take her time she did even make sure to look at them to se if it’s even and after I looked one brow is arched and other not. Smfh. Just wanted to try a new place $ 12? Damn I rather go to the other place $ 8 and they actually take care of your brows. And bad B.O. They should understand people are right under them make yourself smell decent.

I travel to Lafayette to get my eyebrows threaded and it’s not always convenient so I decided to give this place a try. Eyebrow Art is located both on the bottom level and upper level of the mall, and I tried the smaller shop which is located upstairs.
There was an older woman working by herself and she worked pretty fast, the way she was threading hurt more than I am use to. The woman I usually go to has a soft touch as she is threading. So that through me off, especially how quick she was and the little care she gave to my eyebrows after she threaded them! She left them stinging and didn’t wipe them off. There was another girl waiting behind me so I suppose that’s why the lady rushed.
Either way, she was rude and careless. I don’t advise anyone to come here because you’ll be wasting your money.

The four stars is for my eyebrows only. The customer service and atmosphere were blah and only rate 2 stars. I went to Eyebrow Art II located upstairs by Macy’s Men’s. My BFF had recommended I try threading, so while I was waiting for a table at Red Robin I thought what the heck and decided to give it a whirl. It was a Saturday so it was super busy but they were super quick so I had to wait only about 5 or 10 mins. There were two ladies working; one of them had extremely dastardly looking eyebrows while the other one had beautifully arched eyebrows that were close to perfect. So luckily I got her. The whole thing seemed a tad bit unsanitary. She started off by putting the thread in her mouth and then using her unwashed hands she began to twist the thread against my skin. Her hands were pressed against my face the whole time getting the previous customers DNA all over me and they smelled like raw meat to boot. The lady did not speak except to tell me when to lift up my brow skin. It was painful at times. It felt like my skin was being snagged by tweezers. It was so quick though, I really thought she couldn’t have done much but when I saw the finished product I was amazed. I’ve always done a real decent job doing my own eyebrows but she did an awesome job. They were real smooth and sleek looking. The arch was perfect, just a real clean, smooth look. Lately I haven’t been able to tame my brows without over plucking but the wiry hairs still stick out at weird angles causing my brows to look like wild wookie brows. She was able to clean them up so good without taking off too much hair. I went in with brow powder on to fill in the gaps in my brows but after she was done I didn’t need it because the shape was so good. I will say though she did draw blood. I had a spattering of little bloody nips on one of my eyebrows. It wasn’t a problem, I just wiped off the blood, it looked fine. It was only $ 12 which seemed like a bargain. I don’t think I would ever feel comfortable enough to get my whole face done there but I will definitely go back for my eyebrows. I love them!!!

Place sucks I’ve came here a few times in hopes each experience would be a better one! But no my eyebrows never match always painful what really did it for me was when I went in and the lady was eating, i told her to finish up I’ll wait enjoy your break! She seemed anoyyed and said she would would just so em now!
So I sit back in the chair she comes and her hands smells like mayonnaise!, gross!, she didn’t sanitize or wash he hands before. If that isn’t bad enough I stick it out as she rushes the whole thing threw it was painful as hell! Then she finishes after literally 2 mins or less and walks away now lotion or tissue and stands behind the register saying «$ 12» so I paid her and looked in the mirror, I almost died!, one was thicker the other was shorter!, I asked her to fix them an she tried to convince me they were even… After arguing for about 5 mins she then agreed to fix them. So they looked better but not good of I could give negative stars I would give –5! Don’t waste your time or money!

I’ve never waxed or threaded my brows before. I think I have pretty good brows that just need a little plucking here and there to clean up random strays (seriously, I can go like 4 – 6 months without having to pluck). I wanted to try a new shape, though, and came to the mall one day without wearing makeup. When I walked by this place, I thought «perfect, I have a clean face and I can try this.»
I was really surprised at how fast it was. Slight pain, but like another said, it feels like tiny electrical jolts. She made them I little thinner than I’m used to, but I like the shape.

The girl I normally go to was on vacation and I had heard good things about this place so I thought i would try it out since it’s so close to me and I was rather pleased with the way it turned out. She does do the threading pretty fast but I think that’s a good thing. She gave my brows a good shape and the price was really good $ 35 for the whole face. The only thing I didn’t like is they do not apply anything after and she was rather quiet but I feel the job itself was done well!

Second review of this place. Yes I gave it a second chance. Arrived at 8:45 pm for eyebrow threading and was turned away. The threading technician was standing there doing nothing. I thought they close at 9pm.
Then I went to the other location upstairs and at 8:55 pm, the technician was working on another customer. She also turned me away (but I understand this time)
So I went home and plucked them myself.

This place is really bad. The threading is painful and the girl messed my eyebrows up!!! So bad I have to color them in and am going through the long process of growing them out because she made them soooooo thin and gave me two bald spots on the front of my eyebrows (nearest to my nose) I was completely shocked this has never happened to me in all my years of waxing and threading. Yes this place is cheap, but there’s a reason for the price.
DO NOT GO HERE.

I will never come here again. It doesn’t even deserve 1 star!
The threading is painful! The shape is unclean. I came home and noticed spots of hair that should have been removed that wasn’t. Absolutely no attention to detail. In and out in 5 minutes. Horrible. I’ll have to go to another threading shop to clean the rest up!

This place deserves no stars! This place is terrible! My experience is based completely on their facial threading (brows not included). I got a full face thread (no brows) it was the most painful experience ever! I’ve gotten my facial hair threaded many times, not at this location & It’s never been this painful. The lady threading me threaded so fast not even stoping to ask if I was okay. By the time she finished she didn’t even ask if I needed lotion/​aloe, nothing. I came here because it’s close to home. I usually go to a little spot in Berkeley. I will not be coming here again. The next day after getting threaded I had completely broken out around my chin area & had little scabs & cuts left on my face. It was a terrible & painful experience DO NOT come here!

This is my second best option to the spot I usually go to! Its quick at any time of the day, the girls do a good job, and its fairly priced.

I have cuts, scabs, all over my eyebrow area. Painful and uphappy!!! The woman threading my brows took forever, she did listen to my instructions. So thank you HOWEVER, the missing skin on my brows aren’t happy… I typically visit Kiki Brows in San Ramon and ONLY KIKI!!! Due to time crunches I cut corners and chose to visit this excuse for eyebrow art. Never again, I’d rather drive the addt’l 30 minutes and pay 2x more. Stick with what you know girls nothing to see here

Have been going to this place for months and never had a problem. Well today I walked in and a young lady on her cell phone looked pissed that I interrupted her to do my eyebrows. It was so painful, I have been to many places before so I know what it should feel like. She went so fast and took ½ my eyebrows off. No lotion after. They always ask. Then I paid, filled out the tip, 3.00 for a 12.00 service that was horrible and she looked at it and grabbed the paper out if my hand. Didn’t even say thank you. She was rude and kept asking weird questions, she wanted to know where I lived. I said concord and she kept asking. I don’t think I will be back! Sad cause I liked this place and it was close to home!

I have been here before and it’s been fine, but today after work is a different story! I specifically told the lady that my eyebrows are sparse and thin, so I just wanted them cleaned up. When I got in my car and had a closer look, my eyebrows have completely lost their shape and there are patches missing! Very disappointed and it will probably take months for them to grow back =(

I had no idea that there were two locations in the mall! I’ve been to two, and while I think $ 12 is high, I realize that I can’t get the price that I’ve gotten in LA ($ 8). That being said, I only do the eye brow threading, and it’s awesome each time. I’ve never had any problems. My brows go in looking all bushy and gross, and come out clean and together.

A little less than trekking to my other favorite place in broadway plaza and practically no wait if you go in at midday.
I must admit I do not remember any of the threaders names; however, when I go to tame eyebrows that have magically grown into a unibrow or to go all in and get my full face done — I walk out feeling like I can actually look people in the eye again.
Walking with your head down is not fun! I’ve been going to Eyebrow Art for quite some time and the services I get range from eyebrow, lip, or full face. I have never been disappointed and pleased with the few bucks I save going to a place closer to home.
I like the fact that you go in, tell them what you want, sit down, get it done, pay and leave. Simple, easy and quick.

I went to this place over the weekend while shopping at the Sunvalley Mall. I had seen this place before but hadn’t tried it out the first time I noticed it because it looked deserted and I was thinking, hmmm, why is no one going here? But seeing that my eyebrows needed some help ASAP… I thought I’d check it out.
The lady at Eyebrow Art was extremely friendly when I inquired if they offered threading. I normally get my eyebrows waxed but I felt like trying something new. So for $ 12 bucks she threaded away. I’m pretty much a fan now because it was less messy than the wax (no residue) but at one point I had to pull my eyelid down with one finger and pull up the skin with another finger just above the eyebrow so she could really get in there. I’m thinking it’s because I’m a little older (NOT MUCH BUT YEA A LITTLE!) so there may have been a ‘sag factor’ she had to deal with. It felt like little electric jolts were removing the unwanted hair but not bad; most women can deal with a little pain in exchange for great results!
I was really happy with the results and she even colored in my eyebrows for more definition using a stencil and an eyebrow filler. Mind you, ULTA charges $ 20 for waxing and filler, so this was a good deal! To add to that, Eyebrow Art gives you a punch card and after seven ummmm, pluckings, you get the eighth FREE!
ONLY downside… and this has nothing to do with the actual service itself but… the store also sells unique Indian inspired jewelry including Panjas (those wrap around bracelets that go around your wrist and middle finger), necklaces, rings and bangles. All quite beautiful — but the OTHER lady that worked there was watching my daughters and I like a HAWK! I was really interested in making a purchase but really got turned off with the stalking so I didn’t buy a damn thing. FYI they also offer Henna Tattoo Art from $ 10 and up.
