Beginning in 1997, Steven Shotts and Dr. Stephen Harris, co-​founders of ETC, began offering graduate-​level test preparation classes through The Florida State University Center for Professional Development.

ETC Test Prep has been offering test preparation programs in Charlotte and across North Carolina since 2004 through partnerships with some of the state’s leading higher education institutions. Our staff has helped thousands of Charlotte residents prepare for the GRE, GMAT, and LSAT.

ETC currently provides test preparation classes in Charlotte and in partnership with Florida State University, The University of South Carolina, The University of Georgia, Auburn University, The University of Kansas, and many more

Steven Shotts, Director of Instruction

Steven Shotts is the co-​founder of Educational Testing Consultants and currently serves as the Director of Instruction. As Director of Instruction, Steven is responsible for instructor recruitment, selection, and training at Educational Testing Consultants. Steven is an experienced test preparation instructor, curriculum designer, and instructor trainer. He has a degree in Pure Mathematics, and has been teaching test preparation classes since 1993. In his capacity as Director of Instruction for ETC, he has helped thousands of students prepare for standardized tests. In addition to his instructional experience Steven Shotts is co-​author of ETC’s test preparation workbooks for GRE, GMAT, LSAT, SAT, and ACT preparation, and has experience writing test items used in state certification exams.
