I have an old PC with Vista. I was recently unable to login after several automatic updates were applied. Unfortunately, I had not backed up many critical files, so when I encountered this login issue, I was very concerned about possibly losing data. I called 2 companies to find out of they could help me but felt very uneasy after talking with with them. The 3^rd call went to Eric’s and after a brief phone conversation with them, my gut told me that they were reliable. I dropped off my tower and they fixed my problem with ease; their rate was reasonable and they were professional. Going forward, Eric’s Computers are my ‘go to guys’.

I had two very slow computers, one of which had a defective hard drive. Eric came to my house sped up the old one, took the newer one with him. A few days later and few dollars later, I had basically a brand new computer, very very very speedy, better than new. I wish I had known about Eric’s years ago! I am pretty much saying what everybody else is saying and that is that these guys are your final call and small business rules! My computer unfortunately got some water on it and shut off about 2 minutes later and would not restart… she is a goner. Found Eric’s on Unilocal and everything was so straight forward that when all said an done I bought a refurbished laptop from them for half of what it would have cost anywhere else. They made sure of what i needed the laptop for and tailored one to my needs including a solid state hard drive which was the best upgrade and again for half of what FRY’s would have charged. On top of that its got software installed from everyone and everybody… nice surprise. Call or swing by and see what a really well run small business can do for you.
p.s I will be calling later down the road for a complete network rewiring at my business in Berkeley. That’s the confidence I have in them from just 2 visits.

what can I say? always, honest, up front, courteous… and above everything… they know what they are doing. I no longer get worried if my computer goes whacky cuz I know I have Eric’s to take it to.
just recently took my laptop in w/​a myriad of issues. and, as always, Julian fixed everything. he spent hours on the thing and I think he should have charged me more than he did. so time for at least a «coffee tip» ;-)
I will always take my computers to Eric, just doesn’t get better. thanks for all that you do guys. honest, hard working, courteous, price is right… and just good folks.

These guys have the best customer service around. I will take all my computers to them for repair. My computer was trashed after someone tried stealing it. Best Buy would only mail back my computer to get a quote saying damaged beyond repair which would have been 4 – 6 weeks. These guys looked at it and ran diagnostics in only a couple hours. Don’t go to big box stores for repairs!

I dropped off my wife’s laptop because the wifi connection was very poor, and the laptop was very sluggish. A few days later, we got the laptop back and they resolved all the issues. Very satisfied with their service and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Coming home from vacation I went to check my email. NOTHING. Black screen. Thinking Oh No, I have bills to pay and emails to return and taxes to do and of course Unilocal reviews to write:)!
I have pictures and files I cant lose! Quick search on Unilocal and I decided to call these guys. Friendly on the phone and said no worries! They could come out to my house for I beleive $ 110 an hour or I could drop it off for a few days and it would only be $ 90-​$ 110 bucks for the problem they assumed it was. I dropped it off that afternoon. It is ran out of a home (from the garge, I think, atleast thats where my husband dropped it). They were nice and quickly took our info and said they would call. The next afternoon I called for an updat and was told I had like million virus on it and they were still trying to get rid of them. (me — so embarrassed). I am pretty lazy with virus protection from time to time and have teenagers always on utube. The next day they called. My laptop was ready. I know they must have spent hours on it but price, as quoted, still $ 110!!! YEAH! Havent had a problem since. It is faster than ever and they reassured me there was nothing I could have done to protect it from these certain virus/​spyware and all the other crap inside my computer. WOO– it wasnt my fault! Then a week later, they sent a card! I will most definately use them again, just hopefully not anytime soon. But i did just pass thier name onto my inlaws.

I found Eric’s on Unilocal and checked out the website, looked good so I called. They were great from start to finish. Everything was professional and quick, price was less than quoted, and they fixed my problem. Communication was easy and we even received a thank you card afterwards.
I highly recommend Eric’s and will definitely use them again.

My laptop was dying unexpectedly and I couldn’t figure out why. I came to Unilocal to find a computer repair company and eventually dropped the laptop off to have them take a look.
There was a $ 50 diagnostic fee to figure out what was wrong with it. They ran it for about a week straight and determined there was nothing wrong with it.
I had it back for a day and it died again. I was frustrated and I called them to get their thoughts. Eric called me back quickly and explained that by having the laptop on my bed or my lap, I was blocking the flow of air that cools it down.
It was automatically shutting off because it was too hot.
I wouldn’t have found this out without their help. I would recommend them to anyone who needs reliable computer support and wants to help out a local business.
They run it out of a garage and it has a small business feel that’s better than working with Geeksquad.

This is the second time I ever written a bad review on a company. They are very cordial and very respectful but don’t believe anything they said out of their mouth. I took my desktop in for a diagnostic and they told me that it needs a new hard disk, and then they offered me a refurbished desktop of Dell for $ 390.
I thought hey their reviews are stellar and they seem to be trustworthy so their price should be decent. I don’t need to check the internet for price comparisons. I showed up at their place and instead for $ 390 for the desktop, they sold me one for $ 400 (that should be a red flag) telling me that its a better desktop than the $ 380 that they were planning to sell me for. Later on I found out that I can purchase the same refurbished desktop for $ 327 + tax (and free shipping) on
; newegg; and ebay. I also bought a 350 backup battery (UPS battery) from them for $ 59.99, which I thought was new but found out that its actually used as evidence from the Quality Assurance Test receipt (dated in 2013) that they had inside the box; and also found out that I can buy a brand new one from Frys for $ 49.99… I read all of their reviews, and thought hey I can trust these guys, and I don’t have to do price check on amazon on Frys. Worse decision I ever made, always check online… very dissapointing… I just hope that they can keep their word about the one year warranty on their refurbished desktop that they sold me. Never purchase anything from them…

I liked the idea of using a small local business. Called for help improving my home wireless network. Aaron came to my home promptly and listened carefully to my problem. He quickly diagnosed the issue and explained the solution to me so i would be able to monitor my network. He then proceeded to repair my network, tested every aspect and made suggestions for further improvements. Their price for home visits was very reasonable.

Just like all the other reviews. These guys are about as straight forward as you can get. I have taken my computer to them both times to get fixed. I like the fact they work out of their garage because it keeps their pricing down. Can’t get any better than these guys. :)

No nonsense, hard working, honest, good group of people. My wife uses her computer for her photography and had all of her custom made Photoshop filters on the hard drive. The drive crashed — could not boot up. I authorized them for $ 400 on labor and the cost of a hard drive and was expecting the worst with a bill of over $ 500. The total charge, parts and labor was under $ 250 and her computer came back better than it was before. Faster, and as if it never crashed. Booted right up — driver, filters, plug-​ins, data and all. Perfect!
They could have easily taken advantage of us, and we would not have known any better — and they knew it. But they didn’t. Honesty & integrity… all the way!
I absolutely fully recommend Eric’s Computers for both consumers and businesses. Do not let the residential location /​garage fool you. These people are pros. I sent my wife to drop off and pick up the computer. She said it was a professional, positive experience.

I have been using Eric’s Computers for more than 10 years and they are: Excellent, as usual…
Except there is nothing usual about them. Polite, knowledgeable and generous with their time. They make house calls or you can drop it off. Don’t let the little house with the wild yard scare you. There are bonified computer geeks inside. lol. I LOVE them.

I have found ERIC’S to be consistent in their Knowledge, Honesty, Pricing & most importantly (2-​Me) their Manners…

Once again, I had some serious computer problems BUT Eric’s Computers saved my life AGAIN!!!
