Concord Feed

I more regularly frequent the other Concord Feed location, but I’ve been in this store a few times too. We have a very needy bunny who keeps us busy: time to buy more hay, need some new treats, need a new chew toy, time to buy litter. Yep, story of my life, living with an indoor bun. Thank goodness for the Concord Feed stores.
Clayton Road has friendly staff (both stores do) and last time we were in there an associate named Dave (who we recognized from the other store) assisted us and went out of his way to provide good service. We ended up only needing a bag of Good Mews cat litter (it’s the best for the bottom of the bunny cage). I buy the 25 pound bag pretty frequently and it’s a good deal for about $ 10. They’ll even help you to your car if you’d like assistance. Great products and great stores.

I always get prompt, friendly service. The twice-​annual 20% off sales are crowded but well organized and offer a great way to save money and stock up– get there early. The main store in PH has more in the way of horse tack if that is what you are looking for.

Been going here for several years for fig food and crickets. A bit on the pricey side but there friendly and close.

I like this store because of the large selection of products they carry, and they’re prices are generally better than the large chain stores. I enjoy just looking around the store at the many interesting products they carry for pets, large and small. For the most part, the staff has been helpful. Their have been a few occasions where the customer service was lacking. If you are looking for concierge service, this is not the store. If you’re looking for great products for your animals at great prices, then you may want to visit them.

These folks have been super helpful and very nice to deal with (even with my dumb newbie questions) .
Loading into my car was an unexpected touch .

Best place to get the largest crickets reasonable prices friendly staff old country store feel

In the past, I always enjoyed going to Concord Feed. I grew up in the area, and I got to know Barry quite well. Recently I needed to have my pond rebuilt. I called Bob, and he explained that he did not have time for the job, but told me that John did this type of work. John came out and gave me a bid to do the work. He knew that it was a timely project because my huge Koi were forced to be kept in a wading pool. We agreed on a price and a date to start. When the day to start came, he failed to show up. I called him day after day, and each day, he promised a new start date. For two weeks, all I heard were excuses, which in the end, turned out to be lies. (Each time I talked to him, I knew he was not being honest, but I was in a difficult situation.) He could have simply said he changed his mind about the project, but he never did – each day was a new lie. Each time I spoke with him, he always said he wanted the job. Because of his actions, I still have no pond and will likely have to get rid of my 25 huge Koi due to John’s dishonestly. I will never know what his problem was, and frankly at this point, I really do not care. John quoted a price, and I agreed. I did not try to talk him into a lower price; in fact, if he had asked for more, I would have paid. On top of that, he took one an expensive air pump and and another submersable pump saying he would have Bob look at them. I never got them back and doubt I ever will unless I take him to court. I know the expensive air pump can be fixed, but John took them, and did not bother to return them. I even left a message for Bob, but he failed to return my call. Honesty is no longer part of this business. I paid $ 700. for Bob to incorporate a new pump and two filters together (all of the equipment was mine so the price was for simple labor). I did not challenge the price though I knew it was too much for the amount of work, but I paid it because I needed the work done.
Concord Feed is not a honorable company; in fact, their dishonesty is rather shocking. My father owned a restaurant in Clayton for 30 years, and we would have never treated customers the way that the current people at Concord Feed now treat customers. What company allows employees to enter a contract with a customer and then allow that employee to lie customer? I have never experienced anything like this! It simply makes no sense. Is there business so profitable that they can behave this way?
Given John’s lies and the horrible situation he put me in, he should not even be working at a place that has been around so long. Not once did he ever tell me he did not want to rebuild my pond, which would have been so simple. I even went as far as to pay other people a $ 1,000. to take the pond apart so his work would be easier.
I would not even give one star if that were possible. Shame on Concord Feed.

The only reason I give this place a 2 star is they carry the allergy free food that my dog needs.
The customer service is… Well, let’s face it. What customer service? I have never received an answer to any of my questions. The typical response is «I wouldn’t know.»
It’s okay to be a right wing conservative Christian, but do your customers need to know? Do they need to suffer through the conservative radio?
I really wish I could purchase this food somewhere else.

My first time here and only went here because they carry Innova Puppy food. They carry it in variety of sizes and have the best prices compared to the other stores that sell Innova. We also bought a case of Innova wet food for $ 19.99. (12 cans for only $ 19.99 instead of $ 2 each) The Customer Service kinda sucks no one acknowledged us until we were ready to pay, but oh well! The only thing I’ll buy here is Innova unless Petsmart starts carrying it in a larger bag and sells it cheaper! LOL!

In and out in no time. Went in for hay and bedding for the guinea pig. Good prices, so much cheaper than Petco and Pet-​Smart. Friendly and helpful, they even loaded the car for me.
If you have a pet, and need supplies, you should shop here. I know the chain pet stores are loaded with toys, but the knowledge of the staff and most of the products are dangerous to pets. I bought the piggy at store and they were selling me «stuff». I did the research before I let my daughter pick one out. I knew what they ate and what they needed. Their diet is Timothy Hay, fresh veggies and some fruits. The food the store worker was trying to sell me was «junk».
I now only shop at Pet Food Express and Concord Feed. They have what pets need, and not all the «stuff» they don’t.

This is a great place for a wide array of pet supplies and equipment. It carries a lot of farm and livestock equipment, too; a surprising amount for its size and location.
Of note, they have a number of outdoor aquarium ponds with various types of koi and water-​borne plants. Also, from listening to one of the clerk diagnose a customer’s koi pond problem, I’ll attest to staff’s knowledge.
In addition to koi, they sell birds, bird supplies, cages, and bulk bird feed. They have a dog section, horse stuff, and a small room for clothes (looked like riding clothes and boots.)
The store is clean, the staff friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices fairly reasonable. Definitely worth visiting if you have an obscure pet-​related need.

This place is a great place for getting vaccines for your puppies. My husband and I just adopted an new puppy of 8wk and were able to get her vaccines immediately here at this location.
The prices are inexpensive, not what you would pay if you went to a Vet to have their tech do it. It was simple, fast, and harmless to the puppy. They also have other items that may be of use for adult dogs as well.
This place is open to all animals and you may bring you pet inside with you if you wish. This place is small and may be missed by sight, but what they have to offer

Wife stood in line and was ignored while others who entered later were served. While standing in line she was forced to listen to Rush Limbaugh on the company sound system. She finally walked out without paying the thirty dollars or so for her selected goods. She left them in the store for someone else to put away.

I’ve shopped here for over a year and service has always been great. Staff happily drags big bags out to the car for me (without me asking) and are happy to give advice. This is the only place we go for our pet food.

I HATE this place with a passion! I avoid shopping here at all costs but every now and then I get screwed and have to shop here (which means I get screwed twice). Their prices suck and I have no idea how their staff can be stuck up and not deign to give you the time of day when THEY WORK IN A FEED STORE! Seriously, avoid this place if you can even if you have to drive out of your way.
