Concord Car Stereo’s staff has over 90 years of combined experience in Mobile Electronics and Tint. We have the knowledge and abilities to make sure you get what you need and the job is done right. We have decades of professional expetise and our customer service and Yelp ratings show it.

James is a top installer with over 15 years of experience. He loves soldering, baked BBQ Lay’s Potato Chips and long walks on the beach.

Mike M. has been installing car stereos, alarms and systems for more than 30 years. He was the main installer at Frank’s of Berkeley for 15 years before joining our team Dec. 2012.

Jessey is the newest member of our team and has 5+ years of experience. He enjoys heart stopping bass and Bawls.

Ramon is the window tint master with over 20 yrs of experience tinting all makes and models of cars, trucks, boats + SUV’s

Mike has been selling and installing mobile electronics systems and customizing cars professionally since 1987. With over 27 years of experience he is here to make sure things are the best to fit your needs and your budget. He is an MECP certified installer with a long history of designing and installing custom systems from mild to wild.

Mike is also a professional photographer and he was the staff photographer for Hot Import Nights for more than 150 events in 3 countries from 2002 – 2009.

I got a full car system from this place about 8 months ago. Navigation speakers back up Camara, the hole nine yards they installed everything for
Just me in a timely fashion, and it looked good. A few days ago my truck was stollen and I called to see if I could get some prices for the things that they installed, and with in one minute they e mailed me everything that I had put in my truck. Just amazing!!! I also got my boat stereo stuff her and they were great for that as well. I recommend them highly and I will use them for any other stereo stuff I need again.

These guys are true professionals. Made an appointment to get an auxiliary input integrated to my factory stereo. I was in and out in less than an hour and they did a fantastic job. Would not hesitate to come back.

I came here for tinting.
5 stars for quality of work. The tinting looks great and still looks great after a month. One of my friends who is a car guy looked really closely at the work and said they did a very good job. Only a few specks of dust are visible if you look really close.
1 star lost for them killing one of my weekend days and for general annoyance. I had everything planned to do the tinting at noon on a workday. One coworker was going to pick me up at noon from Concord Car Stereo. Another coworker drove their car in (instead of their bike) just to drop me off after work. I showed up at noon on a Wednesday and the manager said the person who does the tinting was dealing with an ongoing work-​related arm injury and called in sick. The manager took off a little off the final price and asked if we could reschedule for Saturday.
When I came in on Saturday, the manager didn’t remember who I was and said they didn’t have any tinting appointments that day. I almost lost it. Thankfully, he quickly figured out what happened (looked at the wrong week) and said I was good to go for the appointment.
I’m still a little bothered by the sick day/​cancelled appointment. Not because I don’t feel for the guy (it’s a tough job), but you need to call in sick before noon to let your customers know not to come in. That is just common courtesy.

I love to have bass in my car. I got sound ticket when I was kid tinkering with my car stereos. I have taken three of my cars to this company and they have done a good job. My 2014 Sienna awd limited, Audi 2002 S6 wagon, my daily commuter VW Passat 2001 4motion glx.
In my Passat I had an old kenwood from the early 2000s and they swapped it out for a new one, restored my headlights and put in a hid kit. This made fall in love with my car again — having nice lights and Bluetooth.
Since the service was great with the Passat — I wanted something in my soccer van. They built a custom box and mounted an amp — and I didn’t lose any functionality with my 3rd row seats. Also, got the 3m crystalline tint. Tint is super clean. Again — flawless service — very happy to have bass that I can adjust and turn off in the soccer van. All hooked up to my stock radio. Drop off the kids turn up the bass.
Just had some work done in the s6 wagon — alpine 8 inch sub, amp, and tint. Brought in Bluetooth add on and they hooked it up clean.
They have great service and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
Thanks again and I might come in asking for headrest monitors for the Avant.

Had the side and rear windows tinted with Crystalline on my Porsche Boxster here and they did an excellent job. Didn’t know they were the only certified 3M installer in the area until I spoke with the salesmen… glad I decided to come here! I went to Walnut Creek Customs first and their quote was about double what these guys charge, and it wasn’t even crystalline! These guys are the real deal, highly recommend them.

Mike and his team has always taken care of me. Brought them my G35 to inspect and figure out why my bass was cutting out and within minutes they had an answer for me. And shortly after that sent them the G35 for window tinting and its spectacular! My 2011 Honda Accord, I had them do a double din radio install and hook up the subwoofers as wells and it’s been working flawless ever since. Then took my Honda in for tinting the windows and it came out amazing.
The work is always amazing and is done in a timely manner. Not many shops carry 3M because it’s a higher quality film and cost more but Mike does and you can the quality of film the second it goes on your car.
I have not had any issues with any of the work I have gotten from him and not to mention they have always greeted me with a great amount of courstey. When it comes to subwoofer install, or radio or tint these are you go to guys. You get what you pay for me and I would rather have something done right the first time rather than a bad job and pay for later down the road. So if you want things done the right way, these guys are your way to go. Mike and his team will answer any questions you have as well. I hate when I need a question answered and I call a shop and I fee belittled. But with mike that’s never the case. He has always been more than helpful and willing to help me out.
Now I can’t wait to be bringing them my 2015 Tacoma for tinting!

Had the folks at the shop install a new Pioneer receiver in our 2001 Acura MDX and couldnt be happier with the work. They meticulously did the work, making the new component look as if it was factory installed. The tech did a quick walk through of the system when they turned the car back over to us which was very helpful.
If we have a need for more car stereo work done, we’ll be definitely come back to the crew at Concord Car Stereo & Tint.

Went to these guys after receiving a completely unacceptable $ 5K quote from Toyota to replace my stock Navigation/​CD/​Radio system. I had no idea I was in for such a welcome surprise! They helped me understand my options, were timely, professional and very friendly, and ultimately helped me put in a far superior system at a fraction of the price. They did a fantastic job! I wouldn’t give 5 stars, much less take the time to write a review, if I didn’t feel particularly compelled, but these guys earned it in spades. Highly recommend.

They did a great job on my tint. Friendly service, and I bought the $ 40 for $ 25 deal, so I got $ 15 off. I had called around and found that other places charged the same amount for the tint service I needed, so by purchasing the Unilocal deal this was the best price in the area. My car is cooler now & I can park the car and nurse my son without anyone seeing through the windows.

Excellent experience with Concord Car Stereo and Tint.
First, I found them on Unilocal,and they had good reviews, so tried them out.
I recently bought a somewhat elderly Chevy conversion van, in need of a new (or at least working) stereo.
Mike showed me a few options, and I was surprised that for about $ 130 in material cost, I could get a new modern stereo with bluetooth connectivity. I also opted for new speakers in the dash as well, as the ones that were there were probably either not working, sounded poor, or were maybe fried. $ 79 for the best speakers they had that would fit (Rockford Fosgate 4×6’s, if that means anything to you).
I scheduled an installation date for a few days later (they are busy), dropped the van for a few hours, and they did a great job with the install.
Looks great, works great, no electrical problems. They also wired in two speakers in the rear, that were part of an (inexplicably) separate stereo system back there, so now it all works together.
I felt they were honest and knowledgable, and did great work. The price was fair– about $ 500 for a complete new and working system, installed in a persnickity old van. I was treated well by the several employees I dealt with, and would definitely come back.

Have my car alarm installed with this store but broke my panel cover without even told me when the time I pay and get my car back. Very unprofessional job and worst service ever.

I was extremely happy with the window tint job Concord Car Stereo and Tint completed in my 370Z. I actually had them install 35 in my car, and after a couple days decided to go with 20. We went with Crystalline on the front windshield and I’m so glad we did. It block all the heat! Prices were very reasonable!
The people there are great and the quality of work is great. I will definitely recommend them to everyone.

I’ve been meaning to get an AUX cable for my car for years now and spontaneously decided to get it done a couple of weeks ago. I Unilocaled for places around where I live and noticed that Concord Car Stereo had good ratings and is close to my house.
I went on a Saturday and James suggested getting Bluetooth instead, which I agreed was better. He ordered the part for me, which only took 3 business days to receive. The part itself was pretty inexpensive from what I was expecting. Labor is $ 80/​hr. I had them install for me that Friday afternoon and it only took an hour to install.
This place is professional and extremely helpful. The tech explained how to use my phone with the stereo system in my car and I love it! I’m so glad I went here and wished I had gone long time ago because I love using all my music apps from my phone.
