Five stars all the way! I just got my tattoo done last night and I was having a hard time figuring out where I wanted it, and how I wanted the design (I know I’m difficult). Kyle, was so helpful and very patient with me! I originally wanted to get this heart lock on my neck with a bunch of extras, thank god he was honest bc it would have looked like crap on my neck lol he was so gentle an he took his dam time. My tattoo is beautiful, he made it just the way I wanted it. You get what you pay for right? Every penny was worth it. I am beyond pleased with the work he did !!!

Glassface is amazing! He’s so talented for his age and will only get better. I found him on Instagram and noticed how clean his line work is. He fixed my tribal band from some guy from Fresno that was all talk. I traveled three hours and it was sooo worth it. I will be coming back to Glassface and him only! Thanks again.

I live in Northern California but my sister lives in Martinez and her and other various family friends get their tattoos there. I decided to get my first tattoo on my 18^th birthday done there and I cannot be any happier, Jorel did absolutely amazing and was easy to talk to but also gave me my space. He custom drew my tattoo and added/​changed the things I wanted.

Took my husband in for a birthday tattoo. Jorel hooked him up big time. He added some shading and lettering to an existing tattoo on his forearm. It totally transformed it into a legit arm piece. The shop is clean and comfortable. The other artists were friendly and welcoming. Thanks Bay Area Ink Spot, you guys are the best. We will deffinetly be back for more work.

I have to say there’s a lot of good reviews here but I have my opinion and I have to give them a two star. Nice place but I’m not so sure if I’m happy with the work (tattoo) my bf came in to get a tattoo done and want something to rep his country (Filipino flag) but his tattoo looks like my daughters drawing. Sorry. And he came twice to get his color done the first time the color faded which we don’t understand why if we’re treating it right. Plus our tattoo guy missed helllaaaaa spots not colored in right. Second time we came in to get it re color still faded and still missing lots of spot. Smh I feel like we wasted money on this tattoo honestly. Tattoo artist was jorel. Sorry dude I’ve seen some work uve done it’s good but why did u make my bfs tatto so ugly !

I am only giving 1 star because the owner of the store did the right thing by giving me and my friends our money back; but I literally had to get it through the artists head that my tattoo and my two friends tattoos were AWFUL. (He knew it too-​just refused to admit it out loud; which I understand).
We went in for a small outlined heart tattoo and left with permanent chicken scratch. I cannot believe I am now stuck with a terrible tattoo for the rest of my life. I pray a PROFESSIONAL artist can fix this nightmare.
The whole thing was handled very inappropriately as well. I discussed the problem with the owner of the store WHILE HE WAS TATTOOING another customer!!! What in the world?!
PLEASE take a look at these pictures and let me know what you think. The quality of the work is POOR and SLOPPY for such a simple piece. This tattoo is a simple design that I think any artist should be able to execute without mistake. Now I am no professional or ink master but I know a terrible tattoo when I see one.
We walked in and they seemed interested in helping us until we asked for shop minimum; that’s when all effort disappeared. They only spent about 1 – 2 minutes on each tattoo; amongst myself and two friends. The owner was also yelling at his apprentice for putting the needle into the tattoo gun improperly before my friend received her tattoo.
In a nutshell, this was a horrible experience. I do however appreciate the owner doing the right thing refunding our money.
What I learned was to follow my gut. I will forever continue to speak up when I feel I am being manipulated or taken advantage of. Just some advice for other young women who may encounter this situation. Also this was my third tattoo so not my first tattoo experience but by far the only worst tattoo I have. Way to screw it up unprofessionals!
My friend just got her tattoo fixed at another tattoo shop, I mean look at that difference? The artist asked if she let a friend do the tattoo-​NO! How embarrassing for this business. Such a disappointment.

I went here with one of my other friends on Wednesday for our first tattoos. I was a little worried that there were no pictures of the place, but when we went in it was very clean and everyone was super nice. It was also a plus that this place is right off the highway! Super easy to find :)
Both my friend and I got our tattoos with Irene and we would both definitely go back. I got an Eevee on my shoulder blade and she really helped bring Eevee into the focus of the tattoo. Instead of getting an exact copy of what I’d planned, Irene really helped make the original Eevee unique and something that was totally just hers and mine.
Nonetheless, I am very satisfied with my tattoo, the attitudes of all the artists and the cleanliness of the place. Everything went above and beyond my standards. I would definitely recommend this place to other people! :)

I had the opportunity to have two tattoos done by two AMAZING artists!!!
My daughter whom is an avid comic book artist, created her own character she wanted me to get above her initials I got when she was born. BenGee took so much care and attention to detail and made it EXACTLY as she had drawn it. He was such a pleasure to have work on my arm that I will be back to get my full sleeve done by him. Customer for life:).
I also had the intense pleasure to have Jeff Davis do his first neck tattoo of a rose he designed. It is like nothing I have ever seen before! His artistic style is his own and the result is pure beauty. I keep looking in the mirror in awe of how truly fantastic it really is. He was guesting here and anytime he comes back I am making an appointment. Do not hesitate to go here, run, everyone is awesome and they will all take awesome care of you

Jorel is the bomb. So light with his hand and personable. I’m actually writing this as I’m getting tatted by him at this moment!
I will definitely be back. The atmosphere is chill and it’s real roomy so you feel relaxed and laid back. I also appreciate that they keep reggae music playing. It was definitely an easy going and memorable experience. :)

Went in for my second tattoo, I had a good idea of what I wanted and James made it come alive. I was referred to this place by a friend and I’m so glad I came here. I was just coming in to get a quote and they quoted me… so I said let’s do it!

Went in for my first tattoo, it was Minnie Mouse ears and her bow on my foot and Jorel did an amazing job. He was calm cool and collective when I was freaking out in pain. And the price was amazing. Definitely going back for more!

I came here to get my 2^nd tattoo. When I got there I was greeted by a really nice person and a guy named Jesse helped me with my tattoo. At first I had a picture of what I wanted but then Jesse suggested this other tattoo and it came out really good! Can’t wait to go back and get another one!

After watching the TV shows about tattoos and especially Tattoo Nightmares, about coverups, I decided to get a coverup of an old (30 year old) tattoo that had never been good. ANTHONY at Inkspot specializes in coverups. He showed me his book of work. I brought some ideas with me, willing to work with him for the best way to cover it without looking AT ALL like a coverup. In order to make it meaningful, and not just any coverup, I decided I would like a portrait of my favorite dog who died a few years ago. Anthony was so easy to work with and quite a perfectionist. He didn’t mind that it took several hours (longer than initial estimate).
This coverup is BEAUTIFUL. As he worked, other artists there stopped to admire the work many times. Anthony took photos for his book, so if you go, you may see the work in his book now. He did a superior color portrait that looks exactly like my dog. II couldn’t have hoped for better.
I also appreciated his easy demeanor, friendliness, honesty, and respect. He did not put down other shops or tattooists, just did a fantastic job with humility and talent.
My tattoo doesn’t look at all like a coverup and there is no trace of the previous tattoo.
This is my third tattoo and first at Inkspot. A very good experience and a tattoo that I’ll be proud to show for the next 30 years.
EDIT 4÷2÷13 under new management and Anthony is not there. No idea what your experience there might be now.

No stars i dont let people who are on drugs tat on me

After reading the reviews on Unilocal I drove down to this place. I talk to the people and they said to talk to Jorel. I did and he gave me his email address said email me your pictures and he’ll be in touch. After 3 emails and no reply (a couple of weeks went by) I drove down there. He was with a customer so I said OK can you have him get a hold of me I also made an appointment. I still hadn’t heard from him. I contacted another employee who want to charge WAY to much for what I wanted. The piece I wanted means a lot to me. Its to honor a memory. Customer service is a lot. And this shop has none.

The first time I went in was the 3^rd week in January. I saw Jorel, who did a gorgeous Hibiscus on my foot. The energy in Ink Spot is really cool and not over the top.
The second time I went in, 2 weeks later, I saw Brian. He’s newer to doing tattoos but was really nice and very professional. He did some really nice cherry blossoms around an existing tattoo, thus making it look much better.
Some of the ink bled out of the lines a bit, so I waited for the healing process to end, then called today to speak with Brian about him fixing it. He’s already geared up to help me to fix the problem and I look forward to seeing the final result.
As a footnote, I really wish more businesses would open up in the shopping area where Ink Spot is located. These are hardworking people who have crazy talent, and they deserve even more business!

I just got my forearm done by Bryan. its amazing! When I went to the shop a week ago he heard my description of the tattoo I wanted. When I went in today to get it done I was shocked. The cross and roses I described were dead on to what he drew up for me. It was like he literally went into my head and pulled it out. It was unbelievable. He’s such a great listener and is an amazing tattoo artist. Bryan was also very considerate about what spots on my arm were more painful the rest. And that was a huge plus for me. He knows what it takes to get the job done and I’d recommend him to anyone who wanted real quality work.

**Update, they called me after I had sent them a Facebook post. Explained that there was an emergency and they had to close the shop. I’m coming in next Wednesday, so I will update once I go**
Very disappointed… I called today to ask if I could come at about 6:15. They said sure, no problem. So I show up at 6:15 to a closed store, lights completely off… Thank you for wasting my time :(

Today I decided that I was going to get a tattoo. I went to one other place first and they did not like that I did not have an appointment so I looked for other tattoo places in the area. I called and the guy that answered the phone was pleasant and said that walk-​ins are welcome. Bay Area Inkspot is right off of the highway in a new shopping plaza. This place is great! The people there are clean and friendly. They don’t give you that «we are too cool for you» vibe. I had my own design all worked out so it was fast while he drew it out. I was lucky enough to get to be in a private room and they let my friend come back with me. The artist was friendly, but not overly talkative. I felt totally comfortable throughout the whole experience. This was my third and Best tattoo, and also the cheapest.

Very nice. Clean and safe. No drama and very eager to work with you.
