I love Dr. Almassi. I just had my postpartum appointment today, she delivered both my sons. One in 2013, and the other 8 weeks ago. Wait times before appointments can sometimes be long but that is because they don’t rush you out of your appointments. That means something to me. I think Dr. Almassi is not only a fantastic Dr., but she is a sweet and kind person. I feel totally comfortable talking with her and being under her care. A couple years ago her front desk staff wasn’t great — but they are today. I also think Dr. Bandskinner and their RN’s are great, I look forward to seeing them each time I have an appointment. I highly recommend them

I didn’t get to meet this doctor but the staff in her office were very rude. I scheduled an appointment to go for a regular check up. When I arrived they told me they had to cancel my appointment because something came up. I had no missed calls and no voicemail from them. The lady at the front desk was very rude. Told me they could reschedule me for a few weeks later, after I had already scheduled personal time off work for this visit. I told them no thank you.

I was referred to Dr. Almassi by my PCP when I was expecting my son last year. She was the highest recommended doctor on the list they gave me of OB’s in the area, and of course I wanted the best! I had a great experience with Dr. Almassi and her staff. Everyone was very kind and professional. Dr. Almassi has a great approach and I really liked her calm style of communicating and dealing with pregnancy — especially since I had many anomalies with my son that ended up being nothing. I also had a birth plan that I went over with her prior to my due date. She willingly went through it with me and was very open about what would and would not work between what I wanted and what was possible(with both her standard practices and John Muir’s) I was adamant that I would have as natural and least invasive birthing experience that I could have in a hospital setting. There were some difficulties with my son while he was being delivered. I was fried after a 20 hour labor, but Dr. Almassi was awesome, delivering my baby boy 17 minute after I started pushing without any interventions — not even an episiotomy! It was at that moment I was the most grateful that I had such a skilled doctor at my side. My husband was also impressed. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because you have to do your miscellaneous tests(bloodwork, ultrasounds, etc) outside of the office. These appts really add up and I had to take off of work a lot while I was working. Appointments are usually booked out a week or so in advance and you usually have to wait a while in the waiting room. However, in my experience, you usually do for the good doctors since everyone wants them! In my opinion, these are small sacrifices for the quality of care given. In short, I highly recommend Dr. Almassi. I am very sad that I moved out of the area and have to find a new OB. I know I would be in safe hands if she was available to deliver my future children.

I will keep this short, instead of going into detail and getting myself worked up on the HORRIBLE experience I had with Dr Almassi and her staff. In short, about four years ago, when I was 23, Dr Almassi’s NP told me I had low grade cervical cancer and made me believe that I had it for nearly nine months. When the truth finally prevailed that I didn’t have it ANDNEVERDID, and I explained the whole ordeal to Dr Almassi — which included a very traumatic visit to get biopsies — she could barely bat an eye. She was very dismissive and unapologetic about the emotional distress I had been through. I was in further shock that she didn’t even seem to care. Honestly ladies, if you care about yourself, choose another Dr. What I took away from this whole thing was to always always always get multiple opinions. Had I done that, it would have saved myself a lot of emotional pain for myself and my family.
