If I could give it 0 stars, I would. This place has HORRIBLE customer service. I would advise everyone to go somewhere else if the owner isn’t there. The daughters do not know how to successfully run a business. They also talk about you in front of you. (I understood what they said.) I confronted them, and they didn’t say anything back. I’m not from town, and when I do come I usually get decent service, never coming back. SAVE YOUR MONEY & GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

I NEVER write reviews on Unilocal but I literally I felt the NEED to. That horrible gel manicure I received was the worst manicure I have ever paid for. I Don’t waste your time and money. Really ghetto. And UNSANITARY.

Today was the first and [almost certain] last time I come to this nail salon. I’m gonna try to keep this short. I asked for matte finish and they didn’t even bother to let them dry. I wanted them to go under the UV light and the technician (Tina) kept saying «no, no, not needed!» I don’t expect people to be overly friendly but this lady was in a rush to get me out of there. I walked out and had to come back a few minutes later because the polish had come off one of the nails! You can see in the picture the excess polish that she refused to clean up! It looks disgusting. If you look closely, you can see the little grooves and air bubbles. I’m really disappointed and will make sure I don’t come back to this place. Service sucked!

Need a good foot scrubbing and a person that takes her time… Ask for CC. Need a set of nails that look natural no matter how short or long… Ask for ROSE. I am a very picky person when it comes to my feet and hands. These two woman are true to the art. And they are CONSISTENT. Yes the place is ghetto as hell but you will come back again and again. Try these two ladies out. You wont be dissappointed.

WHERE IS ANN? FIrst they said she was sick and now they said she is on Vacation. She has not been there in a few months. She is the only reason why I travel from the Valley to this shop. WHERE IS ANN?

TERRIBLE. I got there as soon as they opened. It was already packed which I thought was a good sign. I am finally attended by a man who can’t understand a word in saying and I couldn’t understand a word he said. I just went in for a fill & asked for them to be trimmed. NO. He said he wouldn’t trim them & the shape was horrific. He left acrylic all over my fingers and had him clean them up. But the photos will show the final product. The nail polish was not applied evenly at all and looks drippy in the back. I went on recommendation & will not go back. The only plus was the price of $ 20 for a gel fill. I am going to continue going to Nails by Ashley in paramount for a few extra bucks no wait and phenomenal job.

Helens been doing my eyebrows since I was in 8^th grade over 10years. I hope she never leaves! It’s always busy and too much going on so I rarely get my nails done here but Stephanie does a good job and the guy with all the tattoos

This place is disgusting. …i mean i dont know how they are still open trash all over floors it looks unsanitary and dirty… they got these ladies and their kids packed in here! polish on every piece of funiture they have all equipment looks needs to be trashed! need i say more? Where is the –star at? Dont they know using FOOD EQUIPMENT A CHEESE GRATER IS ILLEGAL. …OMG SHE/​THE OWNER GOT TO BE PAYING SOMEBODY OFF cause im no CODE OFFICER but i see brokwn laws all over!

«Nails on LA» is truly a gem in the city of Compton. This establishment has been in business for 34 years plus.
I, personally have been coming here for 17 years with my daughter. This establishment has grown through out the years. The business is own and ran by husband and wife. Their daughter also runs the front desk at times. Very friendly and interesting staff. The staff is misunderstood as aggressive and rude at time because of the language barrier. But if you had difficulties speaking English many would think you are rude or aggressive but they are really not.
If you wish to get nails, eyebrows, eyelashes done with a bit of entertainment, THIS IS THE LOCATION you want to come to. There’s never a dull moment when I’m here. All kinds of personalities walk in here but the staff is what makes it fun and entertaining. Be prepared, the staff don’t speak perfect English but we’ll enough to communicate with you and keep you happy with their work.
For my eyelashes and eyebrows, my girl Ann is the girl to go to. Nails, my girl is Stacey. My second choice for nails is Peter. Stacey is super friendly and talkative now Peter is serious and super quite.
I currently live Lakewood and I always am willing to do the drive to Compton FOR MY nails, Eyebrows AND Lashes because I have yet to find their quality of work and their prices.
Monday through Thursday they have specials.
They take credit cards and cash. The location is always packed so be prepared to wait. I do have to admit the location does need a major renovation. It seems as its dirty but it’s just the so much traffic that go through this establishment that I see how hard it is to maintain it clean at all times. This is NOT a Beverly Hill, nose up kind of place but it is well worth your entertainment and money.
If you should decide to give this establishment a chance, I promise you will be entertained along with very satisfied with the service you paid for.

Absolutely disgusting, they do NOT sanitize anything. They re-​use all foot scrubbers, clippers, files. They don’t wash tubs, the floor is covered in all kinds of crap and there are roaches crawling everywhere. I mean everywhere ! It is extremely packed and so ghetto. They let street vendors in to sell their knock off purses and perfumes. It’s definitely not a spa or no where to get some relaxation. Horrible just horrible. When you walk in you are not greeted just simply asked «what you need» and then the girl up front starts screaming on the microphone until someone calls you back.
Seriously wouldn’t advise anyone to get anything done there they don’t clean and you can get an infection.

This is a cultural gem located in the heart of Spanish Beverly Hills (Formally Black Beverly Hills) bka Compton California. Patrons are treated to entertainment and massages while receiving any number of services done. On any given day you can cross paths with the «Whose Who» of the neighborhood. I am proud to say I have been coming here for 20 plus years. Shout out to Helen, eyebrow extraordinaire! Her skill and gentle touch will take you from unibrow to flawless within minutes. I also visit Johnny Love bka Flirty Kitty. If you’re lucky enough to get into his chair, he will romance your hands.

I came in there to get a pedicure and eyebrows done. While they did a good job on both, the place was crowded and filthy. There loud screaming kids and people, one of the customers threatened to fight the eyebrow lady it was too much this is my first and last time coming here

If I could give this filth of a place No Stars I would!.. The only and I mean Only reason I was coming here because of a particular lady that does designs good. But her (Jessica) personality sucks and she can be Very Rude at times. It’s just Plain Ridiculous. Poor Customer Service. TOO CROWDED. unorganized. JUST POOR ALL THE WAY ARD!.. rushed. DIRTY!.. IT’S Really Not Worth Spending your Money here. Not less you just don’t give a Shit abt the type of Service you Receive.
