I eat here maybe every other Friday for their $ 1 fish tacos. They are really good and close to my job. They get pretty busy on friday around 12:15. So I get there early to beat the crowd.

You go to the counter and order, then they bring it out to you, you also clean up after yourselves. They have five different types of salsa that needed more salt and lemon and cumin. They bring out chips but the down fall is the tiny cups they want you to use which only fits about a tbls. of salsa that you cant get to unless you break the chips into tiby piece’s. We didnt wait too long for our food. Carne asada supreme nachos, they forgot the beans and when I brought it to their attention, I was brought out a cup of beans. Dry carne asada. Pollo asado torta was also dry and the bread was greasy. It came with fresh cut fries that were soggy and undercooked… There is a technique to cooking fresh cut fries, you don’t just cut and deep fry them which is what happened to these sad fries. Fish taco had two hard breaded fish pieces with more hard bread surrounding the fish, I couldn’t even taste fish. The sauce for the taco had a weird latex taste to it. The only thing good was the coke we had, to me nothing beats a coke or Pepsi in a foam cup!

Amazing food and great customer service. I had a great meal with great vibes. The carnita tacos were delicious and the fish and shrimp tacos out of this world. I will be eating there again for sure

I went in at 11:45 to avoid the lunch crowd, Araceli took my order at 11:55 I know I have my receipt. It is now 12:46 and I just got my order, that sat on the counter for 25 min. I had to go to her 3 times to ask where my order was. When I finally got it the fish tacos were cold and soggy. What was worst was her attitude. Another client got her money back!!! I have eaten her many times and I like the food, but 1 bad server is all it takes for me to never come back… Too bad because I will make sure no one in my company eat here anymore.

Eh, it was ok. The meat was very dry and flavorless. I mean if you’re look for fast made inexpensive mexican food. This spot will definitely satisfied your craving. I personally won’t eat there again even if I’m ballin on a budget. They receive two starts because the customer service was cool. It isn’t there fault that food is not up to taco standards.

Pretty good place, but a little on the pricy side. They have short hours, close at 7PM. I would recommend it if in the area and in a pinch.

Tried it out of curiosity since its close to work. Decent service, way overpriced, and made me sick. Ended up having to go home early with terrible cramps. Maybe it was just a bad experience but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I wanted to like this place I really did but the food is not good!!! I love the name. I liked the service. The location is trustworthy and spacious. Its just the food taste off… not good. I stuck to the basics: tacos. I tried three different flavors: pastor, carne asade, and chicken. All three was thumbs down. Maybe they will improve, but I may never know.

This is nowhere near my favorite place to go to for Mexican food and I agree that their carne asada can be questionable at times. However, there are several things about this place that keep me coming back. Pros: — The wet burrito is pretty good here. I get it with the green sauce. — Taco Tuesdays! $ 1 tacos(carne asada, chicken, al pastor, or carnitas) I get them with al pastor. Good bang for your buck. — Their salsa bar is legit. It’s always nice to be able to make your own blend of onion+cilantro+lime. — Their red sauce is nice and spicy. Apply with caution. Cons: — Carne asada isn’t up to par. They really need to address this issue if they want to please more customers. — Food is borderline overpriced, but I never leave this place dissatisfied. All in all, this place is A-OK. It’s worth a try and if they can get their asada up to par, I think this place will find much more success.

The price you pay here does not match the quality of food. I ordered the chicken nachos which were about $ 7. I asked for no beans or guacamole and I recieved a scoop of chicken, salsa, cheese, and sour cream on top of a plate full of chips. I could of ordered chips and would of had the same thing. The few chips that actually had toppings were good. My boyfriend had the carne asada burrito and could only say that it was filling but did not satisfy him. They are not worth the price.

Wasn’t terrible but also wasn’t the best I’ve had. Ordered the 2 carne asada taco combo plate which i thought was a little pricey. The meat was a little too juicy & just a tad bit chewy, not used to that consistency in a taco. Overall it was ok.

I have always said this plays couldn’t possibly be good. I was completely wrong. On top of the friendly service this place has good sopes and is both fast and consistent. They sell MONSTERS! Lol

I wanted to try something new, and I’m all about small businesses, but… I ordered a carnitas burrito and an order of beef flautas(3) a previous poster commented on the meat and how it was chewy, or tough. After the first bite of the flauta, I was left with a fried tortilla, it was one piece of unseasoned, bland meat that was so tough, I had no choice but to pull it out to eat it. As I was eating the carnitas burrito, about three bites in, I bit into a HUGE greasy piece of jiggling FAT. Ok, so I tried to just pull it out and move on, but as I said it was huge and just could not be removed I decided not to bother since I was already disgusted by the taste of it, and tossed it. Small places usually have good beans, but these tasted canned. Place was clean, nice décor, but not worth $ 12(with soda)

I ate here last week with a coworker after accompanying her on a previous trip. Jalapenos’ is new to the Compton/Rancho Dominguez area. The place is super clean and has a well stocked salad bar area with salsas, onion, and cilantro for your tacos. My coworker is into putting hot sauce on everything and commented on how strong the medium salsa was. I also thought the tomatillo was pretty hot as well. I ordered a chicken burrito. It was a good size for the price. There wasn’t anything definable about it, but it was fulfilling. If i’m craving Mexican food I know now where to go in the future!

So Ive been here a few times, food is so good! I was here for grand opening wasn’t that crowded the first few times i came. Now everytime I walk in for lunch theyre is a line. My favorite here is the Carne Asada Nachos. Place is not that big its small. I like how you can see the cook preparing and making your food. I would seriously pick this place over Carl’s Jr anyday since they are located in the same shopping center.

I walked in this place and wasn’t too fond of the smell but it was either I eat there or at Carl’s Jr. I didn’t know what to order but I love seafood so I felt I couldn’t go wrong with shrimp. I had the shrimp tostada but opted for chips instead of the round tortilla. I watched the guy prepare it so it was super fresh(well sort of fresh the pico de gallo and shrimp are already prepared) but he squeezed lime juice and seasoning and tossed it in a big bowl. It was only 4.95 but the portion was HUGE! If you are picky about deveined shrimp you might not like it – hence 4 out of 5 stars– but it was tasty enough to get through it. I also had some of the rice which was very tasty I just didn’t like the chunks of carrot. I left completely satisfied. Btw I didn’t order a burrito because the pictures made them look like a taquito but someone ordered them and they are a nice size.
