J & J Custom K-9

I brought my rescue German Shepherd to Diane at J&J for training when I first got him… he’d had no previous training, was fearful and lacked confidence, and had never even played before in his life.
The improvement over just a couple months was transforming for him. He graduated the obedience program in record time, and since you get classes for life, we still continue to go and grow his skills. He’s also gone for daycare during the day, which he absolutely loves. He get’s so excited to come to J&J no matter what we are there for… a far cry from his first day, when he hid under the front desk.
I would never take a dog anywhere else for this type of training. The staff is so wonderful as well, and continue to provide us with an engaging and challenging experience, even with the more advanced level of obedience we’ve achieved.

I cannot say enough about J&J. I have been meaning to write this review for awhile now. In May I adopted Sadie, an adorable, friendly, yet VERY stubborn pitbull. Sadie came with some issues with other dogs from her days in shelter/​her rescue. I knew right away that I needed to make sure she was exposed to other dogs, and well trained.
We started training at J&J, in their group classes about 2 weeks after I brought Sadie home. Sadie was 9 months old, and already had so many bad habits. We started out by going to class 2 – 4 times a week. The exposure to other dogs and the wonderful instruction from all of the trainers have made a HUGE difference. Sadie isn’t perfect she’s still a puppy, but she can confidently interact with other dogs without barking/​being aggressive. She can heal, sit, down, and leave it. I am also confident enough to take Sadie to festivals and events and know that I can handle any situation that arises!
I would suggest J&J to anyone! It’s obvious how much Diane and the trainers care about dogs. They are knowledgeable and always willing to answer any questions you have!
The classes are a great experience for owners and dogs alike. In any given night you will have small dogs, large dogs, puppies, and seniors. There are dogs with dog issues, 4 month old puppies, dogs that have been trained at other facilities (unsuccessfully) and everywhere in between. I would strongly suggest checking out J&J Custom K9! Another great thing — there is a one time fee then you can bring your dog to class for life! It’s absolutely amazing to see the progress from week to week/​month to month in the dogs!

I dropped my dog, Laya off at J&J this morning for grooming as I have done many many times and it really hit me how great they are! I am always greated with the warmest smile and my pooch always looks FABULOUS when she if finished. However today it dawned on me that what happens between the time that I drop off and pick up is the highest quality of customer service. I mentioned that my dog was loosing her eyesight and that we give lots of verbal reassurance and direction to compensate. As I was going to leave and the owner was taking my dog to the back, I paused to listen to her interaction with Laya. She was so kind, talked to Laya the whole time. It was so clear that she loves all the dogs that come to get groomed. THANK YOU!
