History

Established in 2014.

Redwood Living began in 1991 with the idea of creating a simpler, more relaxed, and peaceful lifestyle. Steve Kimmelman, founder of Redwood, wanted to build apartments homes that people were truly thrilled to call home.

Twenty-​three years later, Redwood has grown into a fully integrated development and management company called Redwood Communities Group, with Redwood Acquisition LLC responsible for purchasing real estate that Redwood Living, Inc. turns into communities of distinctive single-​story apartment homes with private attached garages.

Redwood Living now develops communities in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina. Since Redwood’s inception we have partnered with Pride One and XL Builders, who are responsible for constructing our apartment homes.
