We love being apart of the schools and work well with PTA, SEPTA and Girl Scouts.

History

Established in 2005.

We were created through the vision & dream of two women. One a school teacher, the other in the corporate world. Both had heard & seen stories about children entering kindergarten with out being prepared, as well as, tutoring centers taking lots of money from parents with out any change in their child’s educational success. The women felt it was their obligation to the community and future students that they create a safe, nurturing, structured & FUN learning environment. A place that would allow every step of the students curricula to be an adventure or «cool» instead of a chore. A place that breeds esteem and confidence. They created this oasis with every last penny they had had and with every bit of sweat and determination. They wanted better for their community’s children. They wanted better for the adults too, because learning doesn’t end in the senior year. We are always learning at every step in our lives. as child & parent. And thus, Once Upon a Time was created.

Meet the Business Owner

Corissa Carmelina O.

Business Owner

Carmelina is a masters grad from St. Joseph’s College. She was a public school teacher for five years. She is a mother of two. She currently is the Education Director, the lead preschool teacher and the co-​owner of OUAT.

Corissa is a business grad from Farmingdale St. College. She worked in the corporate world before beginning her masters of education at Molloy. She then became the Facility Director, specialty class teacher and the co-​owner of OUAT.
