Started as a quick serve breakfast store open from 6 am to 11 am daily. It has grown to offer both breakfast and lunch

Business Owner

With over 35 years of experience in the Culinary Arts he brings to Commack Breakfast his expertise in creating the freshest, tastiest breakfast and lunch selections an all at a reasonable price.

Rudy is a Graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, the leader in Culinary Education and is a Certified Chef with training in Baking, Catering and Breakfast Cookery.

He has owned businesses in Queens New York as well as was the Executive Chef at a private Yacht Club the North Shore of Long Island. He also was the Executive Chef and Director of Operations for one of Queens Foremost Catering facilities for over 12 years.

I think they are under new ownership again and I feel the place has benefitted from it. The food is better than before and it comes out very quickly. Their usually is not a lot of people inside so that helps the wait time too. The prices are relatively inexpensive for the area. Overall a nice little spot for breakfast.

Commack Breakfast is reborn !!! After a loyal customer for so many years, i have to say the food coming out there now is by far the best ever. The New owner has studied and worked in the culinary arts his whole life. Now an assortment of fresh daily made baked items everyday makes for great options other than sandwiches. If you gave it a try under the old administration, come back in again you wont be dissapointed.

Their eggs tasted like burger king’s burgers, but their rolls aren’t terrible. Even though, their coffee is included with their egg sandwich it wasn’t that good more like it was watered down tasted like yesterday’s coffee. Unfortunately, their bacon doesn’t come included with their egg sandwiches neither does the cheese. Even though, most places will include bacon and cheese (e.g. Burger King or 7-​Eleven) with the eggs on the sandwich for no additional cost. So wasn’t willing to pay extra just to try their bacon after already spending $ 3.25 for 3 eggs with cheese on a roll and it wasn’t even wouldn’t worth it (to save $ 0.25 nor $ 0.50 if I were to get their special 2 eggs with cheese for $ 3.00).

What can I say about Commack Breakfast? Well, if I’m not eating breakfast at home, I’m ordering from here. THE BEST bacon, egg and cheese sandwich you’ll ever taste. And the Hungry Man hero is otherworldly. If you’ve never been to this place, I highly suggest you get there.

I’ve been going to the Commack Breakfast for years and hearing the horrible news a little while ago, I finally got the chance to grab something to eat again. It still feels like the same commack breakfast that I always used to go to, the great customer service and friendliness that the employees give off is great! I don’t think there could’ve been anyone better to take it over. The food was great and everything was cooked to perfection, the price was on par to what should be paid, maybe even a little less! Good luck and I hope the place succeeds in the future!

After Pete Fedden’s untimely passing, Commack Breakfast closed and we feared it would close for good but I see that it was recently sold and reopened and am happy to report that the fast friendly service is still there and the food is still outstanding. Nice to see Pete’s presence still there in a framed picture of him on the wall. Best of luck to the new owners.

Breakfast & lunch…
Looking for a no frills place to get an egg sandwich and a cup of coffee to go? This is the place for you. Absolutely no frills at all– a counter top set between two doors– you walk in, tell them what you want, pay and go a few minutes later.
Extremely cheap — an egg sandwich with bacon and cheese, large coffee and a side of home fries set me back $ 5 and there were enough home fries to feed a few people in there.
Coffee was hot but a bit weak but everything else was yummy and hit the spot.

BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICHES IN THE WORLD. I’ve had them from all over and nobody beats this place. The sandwiches are so good, they’re almost addicting, it’s as if they put crack in their sandwiches. I would sometimes dream about them and wake up early just to get there before the rush. Perfection!

Okay, so it’s not high quality dining, but Commack Breakfast was an icon for many a teen in the Commack area. It’s basically a storefront diner — you walk in one door, place your order, walk down the counter, pay for and pick up your order, and walk out another door with your hot tasty food. It’s a fast way to get a good breakfast on the cheap!
I love and crave their egg sandwiches — the next time I’m on LI I am getting me some Commack Breakfast!
