Unclean environment and unprofessional staffs. Especially, the meat dept. personnels are kind of rude and they really dont know how to deal with customers. I went there couple of times but even after telling them they cut the meat wrongly and never admit it. I will think ten times going there next time.

After taking a cooking class from a restaurant owner, Yasmin’s was recommended for their goat meat. I was told the butcher at Yasmin’s was skilled and will honor your butchering request. After reading the Unilocal reviews, I’ll admit I was a little hesitant. I went close to closing time on a Saturday. Except for me and one other customer the place was pretty empty. Yasmin ‘s is not a large market, about the size of a convenient store. There are a nice amount of canned goods, dry goods and teas. A lot of items are foreign and I could not read the labels. The meat department has a decent amount of meat choices. There is a traditional meat case with glass(meat looked fresh) and a few stand up freezers in the isle in front of the meat case. The goat was plentiful, all types of cuts. The guy behind the counter was cordial and helpful. I’ll admit I couldn’t understand a word he said, his accent was very thick. Out of frustration I went the self serve route — the stand up freezer. I was real skeptical, the meat was frozen and looked like something bagged up out of someone’s kitchen! I’m talking ziplock bags! On my way to the register I noticed a small produce section. It wasn’t that appealing. I’m thinking that is not one of their biggest sellers. I believe the owner is the person that rang me up. He was not unfriendly, but not real welcoming either. Based on how tender and delicious my goat meat turned out, this will be my go to spot for goat! I’d recommend checking out Yasmin’s just for a food adventure and the tender goat. Unfortunately, I do not have photos to share because I was a little uncomfortable about whipping out my phone and snapping pics. Maybe my next visit I’ll get bold.

Came here today with my mother(both of us are white ladies), browsed the whole store, nice tea selection and honey. Was looking for teff flour but failed, but that’s unimportant as they had wonderful pre-made injera! Very delicious! Their meats looked good here as well. I felt very comfortable here and was treated well. They accept credit cards and do not seem to have a minimum? I will definitely return and I would definitely recommend them to others.

I didn’t like it because I bought a Kraft cheese after one day when I open it I found out that it was expired some of there stuff are expired and the worst part about it is you can’t return the stuff that you bought they only give you 24 hours to return stuff so I highly recommend everyone who goes in there or who want to try the store to check the date or the expire date before you buy anything.

I give Yasmin 3 stars simply because I was treated poorly. I don’t blame them I’m white and I kinda stick out in a Arab market. But anyways, pretty good selection of mya hookahs and al fakher shisha. And they sell laziza my fav nonalcoholic beer. 3⁄5
