Sweet Jesus, praise the lord, a Hostess outlet! We had one of these back in Charleston that I used to go to growing up. I loved it so much and this brought back memories of it. The gist of it is this: Wonder bread and Hostess products for way cheap. Sounds awesome, right? It IS awesome! I was in the area to pick up an item that I don’t really even need, but was obligated to buy. I hated that I had to drive out here, and it put a serious damper on my day until I drove past this bakery outlet on the way. Gahanna, redeemed. Well, at least somewhat. Loaves of bread that would be $ 2.30 to $ 3 or $ 4 in the store were $ 1. It should be noted that these are closer to the end of their shelf life than those at the grocery, but still, them’s some savings! I was surprised to find they also had cereal, jellies, waffles, and some other stuff I had no idea Wonder or Hostess made. I asked if there were any closer and the lady informed me that they just closed two other locations. Citizens of Gahanna, I implore you to start shopping here. It would be a real shame if this store closed. Bakery outlets are the shiznit. My old Charleston one also carried dairy products so you could get ice cream or shakes there, so this one isn’t quite as awesome. But it comes pretty close.
