This is an awesome place. I drive from Pickerington to go here because it is so much better than my options in the suburbs. I have gotten my hair cut here multiple times now and I’ve had a great experience each time. On my last visit, I met Paul, the newest barber. He took special care to ensure I left with the hairstyle I wanted. I also appreciate that they will trim your beard. A definite plus. The friendliness of all the barbers is worth noting. Unlike many other establishments, their goal is for you to leave satisfied. And actually, it’s more like an entire experience, not just getting your hair cut.

I’ve now been to Turners Barber Shop twice. The atmosphere is a step back in time and just a fun place to get your hair cut. The barber that cuts my hair is Dave and it is truly a great experience. I will continue to go to Dave for all my hair needs. I highly recommend that you make an appointment at least a week or two in advance. These guys do great work and make getting a haircut a fun and entertaining activity.

Old school vibes at this barbershop offered a fun setting for the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. Hot towel and straight edge razor finish to top it all off. Excellent service and decent prices. Ask for Paul.

I got my hair cut by Paul. It was his first day. Easily the best haircut I have ever had. Give Paul a try if you want a truly amazing haircut.

I’ve been going to Chris for about a year. My first visit was a revelation. I strayed once, paid twice as much, and deeply regretted it. These are some stand-up guys that do impeccable work in a unique, vintage, and very masculine environment… with a hot towel and a straight blade neck shave.

Great place for a haircut however do not get caught in the crossfire of a changing schedule as I did. They are now completely by appointment only. I made an honest mistake of not checking the current hours and walked-in today to find this out. All in all they are great and I mean no ill will here(thus 5 stars) but I wanted to post this for anyone who may have been out of town for awhile as I had been.

I’m visiting form out of town and needed a cut. Chris came highly recommended and I couldn’t be happier! He was everything you’d want in a barber; an artist at his craft & easy to talk to! The shop itself was full of amazing antiques and vintage items from photos to a globe bar. Everyone working there seemed to have a laid back feel of fun camaraderie. If you need a cut, trim or shave, call them and make an appointment! It’s a great break in the day!

Ok, so I’m in Columbus on business and in desperate need of a haircut. To call it a haircut is too generic. It’s a lovingly tended to styling. Dave(Hatfield) and Chris(Turner) were the consummate hosts. Barbers extraordinaire. Mannered. Decorated. Unconventional yet perfectly old school gentlemen. The shop is a emporium unto itself. Eye candy in every nook. The postcard portraits that adorn the walls. The stuffed and displayed wildlife. The globe/bar. The antique sink hutches. The sterile towel oven. The medical school or biology class anatomy model. Just everywhere you look, you see something unique and wonderful. Wednesday is admittedly their slow day, so if you’re a walk up like me, that’s your best shot. I did overhear Chris say that he’s about to announce appointments only in the near future, so call ahead and get a slot. Can’t say enough about how great my time was today. If only I lived here I’d be there every other week. A «regular rotation» as Dave would call it. Thanks fellas. Until we meet again!

Best barbershop in Columbus. Chris Turner and his staff are highly skilled and the retro ambience take you back to a time when men were men and barbershops were the social hangout.

This place rules. I have been in with my husband a couple times and his hair always turns out amazing. The shop has great style, the staff is professional and thorough, and they have always been super accommodating.

This is such a cool barber shop! From the atmosphere to the gentlemen that work there, it was overall a great experience! I showed the barber a picture of what kind of hair cut I wanted with whatever twist he thought would be good and it turned out perfect! Absolutely will be back anytime I need a hair cut!

The owner is a gentleman and a scholar! Took his time to get the fade right for me and could carry a decent conversation. The décor was neat too. A+

I’ve been going to Turner’s for just about two years, and in that time they’ve grown from one barber to three! Rest assured, you can expect a first class cut from anyone there. Pro tip: If you’re going on a walk in day, bring some reading material, as the queue can get long at times.

A cut above the rest. Schedule out each haircut and let them really get to know you(& your hair).

You know that great boost of confidence and happiness you get after a fresh haircut? Turner’s finely seasons, cooks and serves it to you on a silver platter. I always tell friends visiting from out of town to hold out for a haircut until they get here because this place is 5 star quality. I started seeing Doug about a year and a half when I moved to Columbus. He was cutting at The Mug & Brush at the time. I had heard of Turner’s from a friend but was apprehensive to try a new barber– Doug, to put it simply, is on point. When he told me that he would be moving to Turner’s Parlor I was excited because of all the good things I had heard and was floored my first time in. The aesthetic makes the place feel like something out of a BBC original drama based in the 1930s. Pair that with the amazing talent of both barbers? You have the best place to get a haircut in Columbus. Hands down. I have gotten the best haircuts of my life from Doug(including my wedding cut!) and seen amazing work come from Chris in the chair sitting next to mine. The experience is always personal, sociable and without fail the whole parlor joins into joking, conversation and debate. This is what a barber’s shop is meant to be. You’d be hard pressed to find a shop with more class, character and talent than Turner’s. Going anywhere else would be doing yourself an injustice. Plus their prices are great. PS. They carry phenomenal product as well.

I was staying in town for a few days before flying out from Port Columbus and needed a good cut for vacation. As soon as I walked in, I knew I made the right call. This place transports you back to a time when haircuts weren’t just a necessity; they were an experience. When you step through the door, you’ll notice the old time lighting and décor that would suit your grandfather’s den(my mother was with me at the time, she chuckled that I was getting my hair cut at a place with a painting of a naked lady). When I came in, there was a guy in the back corner brewing fair trade coffee(good stuff, wish I could remember the brand) in a Chemex beaker coffeemaker. It was free(but leave a tip). Super fitting for the period and theme of the place. But I bring it up mostly because it was reflective of the overall experience: methodical and precise, not rushed. As far as the actual haircut? Simply put, it was the best I’ve ever had. I’ve never received as many compliments for a haircut as I have after coming here. It was also some of the better cut banter I’ve had in awhile too(the conversation you strike with someone that has sharp objects next to your face is important, sorry, Great Clips). And the best part? It was only $ 15(I was expecting to pay up to double that). I live in Cincy so I wish this place wasn’t such a long haul. If you’re looking for a quality haircut experience and don’t mind waiting a little bit longer to get it done right, check out Turner’s.

Now that’s a haircut you can set your watch to! The two best haircuts I’ve ever gotten in my life so far have been during my two visits to this place. Now I’m no barber, but that there alone leads me to believe you couldn’t ask for a better barber shop. And the value? Simply put: average price for a way-above average cut. More than just a place to get a cut though, this shop is a fun little experience. Best part is that these guys are friendly, regular guys, and, at least in my experience, not a couple of elitist buttholes(like you may find elsewhere). Unilocal wants me to make this interview more wordy, so this last sentence is purely to satisfy that need. Oops, still not enough words – oh wait that did it. Anyway, what a great haircut. Go get yourself one.
