The Sitter Connection has the best babysitters for your family!

We have all run into those times when we have an engagement and need a sitter, but don’t know where to turn. Now, we have the answer for you. When you have an appointment, need to catch up on some extra work, or just want to have a night out for yourself, you can call The Sitter Connection. We will then schedule a sitter to come to your house, and you can have peace of mind.

Before The Sitter Connection sends a babysitter to your home, business, or place of worship, the sitter must

1. complete a thorough, written, essay-based application,

2. meet with in person so we can determine if they would be a good addition to our roster.

3. be fingerprinted and background checked through the state.

4. have 3 great personal child care references

After she has completed all four steps, we then approve her to sit for The Sitter Connection families.

History

Established in 2003.

The Sitter Connection was founded in Dayton in 2003 as a home-based business by Jill Kingston when she decided to stay at home to raise her children. She quickly found out how difficult it was to find caring, reliable and trustworthy babysitters. After finding a few excellent babysitters, The Sitter Connection was formed.

Meet the Business Owner

Jill K.

Business Owner

Jill grew up in Englewood, Ohio (just north of Dayton) and attended Northmont High School. While she lived in Englewood, she worked as a babysitter for families in her community, an assistant at a local daycare center, an after-school care provider at an elementary Latch-Key program, and volunteered at Children’s Medical Center in Dayton.

After graduating from Northmont, Jill attended The Ohio State University where she continued babysitting for families in the Columbus area while earning a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science.

After earning her Master’s degree in Education, Jill worked as a Home Economics teacher in the Vandalia Public Schools District. After having her first child she decided to stay at home to be a full-time mom.

Today, Jill stays at home with her three children and runs The Sitter Connection. But she does not run The Sitter Connection alone. Angela in finance, Elizabeth, Patti, and Tawnya are the Operation Coordinators.
