Swiss Air Heating & Cooling

I had them install a new furnace, well they installed the wrong furnace. They did not have any convenient appointment times available, so I had to take a day off of work for them to remedy their mistake. Additionally, when I had an issue with my air conditioner, I gave them a 2^nd chance. They fixed the issue, but I paid by check and the repair guy lost my check and I received a late notice which has turned into an hassle to deal with.

Good People to Deal With!
All the people from Swiss Air are a pleasure to deal with, whether on the phone or in person. The service personnel go above and beyond to keep my furnace/​AC in great working order. I like that Andy took the time to explain things to me so that I feel confident of the work being done.

Good appt… on time… fixed the problem… out of there in less than an hour… I will use them again.

SwissAir makes the preventive maintenance of our HVAC system painless: under the contract, at appropriate and specific intervals, we are reminded to schedule a covered inspection; the SwissAir technician is polite, presentable, knowledgeable and never fails to use protective coverings on his footwear.

I have used this company at a different residence in years past and was happy with the service, so I definitely think they used to have honest and knowledgeable techs. Had a service call for a heat pump freezing up and the guy while prompt and courteous spent most of his time on sales and did not fix the problem. He claimed the freon level was so low we clearly had a freon leak which would cost thousands to locate and that we really should just get a new system. He proceeded to schedule a sales person with the husband as my alarm bells went off. End result was a $ 600 repair that did not fix the problem, sold husband a «membership you can cancel at anytime» to get that $ 600 price discounted down from $ 800. The thing is $ 19.99/month and the fine print says it is for a year, nothing about being able to cancel and stopping the charges. Had another HVAC company out that has been servicing my rental well to fix the «leak» since I did not trust Swiss Air at this point, and as it turns out the freon is not low, there is no leak and there was some obstruction in the system causing the problem for both heat and AC.

If you want someone to sell you a new air conditioner or heater unit, call this company. If you want someone to fix your system, call anybody else. So disappointed… we bought our new system from this company and had trouble with water leaking out of the new unit and all over our basement floor at the end of the summer 2013 so I called and scheduled a service appt… the employee that came to my house was very nice, also very young. Being young did not matter at all to me, after all knowledge is knowledge and I had a serious issue. So after this guy inspects the furnace he says everything’s okay but it’s «low on freon» so we pay a couple hundred to have him «fix» it.
Fast forward to this summer 2014… same exact problems happen as they did at the end of summer 2013… water leaking out of basement. And not just a trickle of water neither. Large amounts of water are now standing in my basement and I’m constantly cleaning it up. So if it wasn’t the freon then what did you charge me for a service we didn’t need? Why is the water still coming out of the unit you just installed!!! If you couldn’t fix it you should have just said so!!! I give this company one star simply because I can’t give them no stars and still post a review. However, this company deserves absolutely no stars because we have been customers for nearly 10 years and so were the folks that owned our house prior to us so there’s a combined history of this company servicing our house for over 2 decades. After all our customer loyalty we were still treated terribly and charged hundreds for absolutely no real service because we still have the problem you were specifically called here to service. Beware folks… shop around before you make any decisions regarding heating and cooling service. And above all ask plenty of questions!

I am revising my previously posted negative review to reflect the excellent follow through from Swiss Air. Days after my post, a manager reached out to resolve my issue. I respect a company that treats customer service with this level of importance.

I know, I know, I’m reviewing an Heating & Cooling company for gawd’s sake, but with so many companies (and charlatans) out there, I thought I’d give these guys credit where credit’s due. We were offered a same day appointment but couldn’t do it, so they came the next day. «We’ll be there between 2 and 4» — ugh, ok. He shows up at 2.05! The guy is friendly and polite; he quickly finds the problem, and clearly explains what he’s going to do to fix it, and what we need to do afterwards. He even had the filter we needed in his truck.
And now my house isn’t 89 degrees anymore!
