Service was good but Hashbrowns were super hard. But we were hungry after our overnight shift do it was good enough, i suppose. Definitely overpriced though!

Again good service and great food. I had my stuffed B & G and wife had a BLT that was good. Our waitress was great and I had a good teasing her.

I was so excited when a sunny street opened on our end of town. I had been to one a few times in north Columbus. Unfortunately, this place has horrible management. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and tried them a total of 4 times. The last time, we waited over 1 hour for our food, and they never brought my daughter’s food. We reminded our server a couple times, and while she apologized, she never brought it. Yet, when she brought the check, we were charged for it. When asked that she take it off the bill because it never came, she asked if we wanted it to go. When we said no, she said she had to ask her manager. The time before, just my husband and I went. He had completely finished his breakfast, and we waited an additional 15 minutes before mine came and it was cold. They charged us full price and never once a apologized. I hope that they can get their act together, because this is typically a great chain breakfast restaurant. But until I hear they do, I would avoid it, unless you like long waits, cold food, and management that could care less.

If I could give this place a half star, I would. Came here on a Thursday morning… not very busy… around 11:45. We waited over 45 minutes for our breakfasts that sat in the window and got cold. I ate my entire meal before ever getting my English muffin. There was absolutely NO hustle from any of the waitresses. It was MINDBOGGLING how everything is run in this establishment! Food sits in the window and is allowed to get cold for over 5 minutes before even being run… the fruit was warm from being under the heat lamps for so long. People standing at the register waiting to pay… We will never waste another 1+ hour of our lives eating a mediocre breakfast or lunch there ever again.

My wife and I decided to try something new this morning and found sunny street café the décor and customer service were good however the food fell FLAT! my wife ordered the chorizo tacos which came with lettuce, tomato, eggs, cheese, and chorizo there was two pices of chorizo on one taco and none on the rest as for the flavor it was non existent. Thumbs down. I ordered their stuffed biscuits with scrambled eggs I received my plate but it wasn’t the definition of a stuffed biscuit. There was a green pepper spread under the first layer however it was supposed to be stuffed with cheese, sausage, potatoes, onions which I saw none of. The flavor was not there.

Best breakfast in the area, great place to sit and read the paper as well. Food has a southern/Texas feel to it and the coffee is terrific.

Horrible attitude and staffing. Seek out other nearby restaurants. Zero stars. The Grandview and especially the downtown stores are great.

I would love to say I tried it but after waiting nearly 30 minutes for a table we left! I dont mind a wait and expected it but watching what was happening was just ridiculous. They had 3 tables of 4 open with about 20 people waiting to be seated. I think they were waiting for groups of 4 to come in. It was Valentine’s Day so naturally it would be groups if 2. Also, with all the people waiting, there was little access for the wait staff to get through to service tables, further slowing service down. The Manager was just walking around and not really doing much to remedy the situation, leaving the hostess on her own. She just sat there and kept looking at him for direction. So frustrating watching mismanagement of basic restaurant service. I was a hostess at a extremely successful venue all through high school so it’s not like this is hard to see. I will not be back.

We came in on Sunday morning for a change of pace from the breakfast chain restaurants. The lot was pretty full, but this is a breakfast only place, so I assumed it would be right in their wheelhouse. We went in and checked in at the hostess station. There were 4 names before ours, so we posted up with the 3 other couples to wait out turn. Twenty minutes later, no less than five tables came open and were set for guests. Unfortunately, not one of the couples ahead of us had been seated, and the line of potential guests had swollen to about 10 parties. The kitchen was banging out food. One of the servers was crushing it with delivery help from a cook. She had to swim through the crowd to get to the tables«to the left» as she kept exclaiming. Meanwhile, the manager appeared to wander around giving no mind to helping move things along. The hostess just wandered around in blissful ignorance, as we hungry folk stared at the 5 empty tables. After almost 30 minutes of nobody being seated and the hungry mob crushing in through the front door, we decided to cut our losses and run to chain restaurant. At least Bob Evans knows how to get folks to the table. Food=? Management= Bad.

Not the place to come if you are in a hurry. Waited an hour for our food from the time we ordered it and it was cold when it finally did come. Never saw our waitress once we placed our order. Asked three different servers and the manager to turn the heat on and never got done. Felt like we were sitting in the cooler rather than a table in the restaurant. Manager should have been tending to the restaurant rather than cashing people out. Not a place i plan to return.

They create an artificial wait. When you don’t seat people but clearly have 10 open tables and people can see that you have 10 open tables, people get frustrated when they have to wait ten minutes. The food is allright — I originally wanted the stuffed biscuits and gravy but, they were 86ed the second we walked in the door(and it was only 10:30am) I had the Famous Hearty Breakfast instead. The eggs and hash browns were good but the ham was underwhelming. The pancakes were decent. Light and fluffy, like a sponge that sucked up all of the syurp. They need to add more butter for the pancakes though.

Being close to where I live, I come to Sunny Street Café at least once a week; either alone, with family or friends. Compliments to the chefs because the food is always well prepared and tasting great! My favorite is the Breakfast Quesadillas and their coffee is good.(I am a coffee drinker and that is important). The staff is always courteous and attentive. If you haven’t tried Sunny Street Café, you won’t be sorry you did.

Food is good, but service has been slow the few times I’ve been in there. It’s at least 35 – 40 to get your food from when you have been seated.

It was during one of the rare times that I found myself on E. Broad St wanting breakfast and not wanting to visit the Waffle House that was right across the street, that I stumbled upon this place. I had seen the place often times and I remember when they first broke ground to build the businesses in that area, but I had never gone to satisfy my breakfast craving. Now, personally, I love breakfast! And this place does breakfast well. It’s kinda along the lines of Scrambler Maries and the prices are about the same. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable and I found my entire visit quite pleasing.

A friend and I went here for the first time because it was convenient. She had biscuits and gravy that came out cold and had to be sent back to be reheated. I ordered a veggie egg white omelet with no onion and it came out with onion so it too went back and had to be remade. Our server was okay but needed to come around more often to give coffee refills. As the manager walked around to other tables to find out how their food was I heard multiple people say it was not very good. We were offered complimentary banana nut bread that were in clear containers and had condensation in it and we refused. Needless to say I will not recommend this place nor will I return back.

I really enjoyed coming here for brunch with my family! It is a quaint, friendly environment with good food and an excellent welcoming customer service. I see how they got their name Sunny Street Café… the ambiance, décor and friendliness match. I ordered the Ultimate Breakfast(2 pancakes, eggs, bacon & grits). It was so much I shared. It is similar to Scrambler Marie’s but I like their grits wayyyy better. Good spot.

Came in for an early breakfast and had great service from Steven. The food came out warm and hearty. We probably should’ve tried their specialty items like pumpkin spice pancakes with a tres leeches cream drizzle or cream cheese pumpkin muffin but we stuck with a simple but yummy egg, toast and hashbrown breakfast. Our coffee cups were never empty either! If I lived in Columbus I would frequent this cute café often.

If you choose to eat here you will literally be wasting your time. Took my parents for breakfast here at 10:15am, place was moderately busy but nothing crazy. We were seating promptly and that’s when the time wasting started. We did not see a waitress for 15 minutes, she forgot half of our drinks(which we are only a party of 4 so it shouldn’t be too hard to remember). Repeatedly had to ask for silverware and struggled just to get her to stand there to take our order. Our lukewarm food took about 40 minutes to be served and again she forgot the toast for 2 of us. While sitting there we witnessed 2 other tables get up and leave frustrated from the poor service and overheard the table next to us that their daughters order was never put in while they waited 45 minutes for their food to arrive. I will say this my breakfast(veggie omelet with turkey sausage) was flavorful so the quality of the food is there, but for this kind of service I will never be back.

Have to agree with another Unilocal user in not wasting your time or money here. The place was busy, but not insane, but it still took 45 minutes to get our breakfast food. When it finally came out, multiple orders were wrong and they had completely forgotten about 1 person’s order. When THAT order finally came out, it was also wrong. One of our group had to recommend that it be taken off our bill.

I’ve been here twice so far and was not disappointed! I ordered the Hearty Breakfast w/grits. First the pancakes were amazingly fluffy and the old fashion grits were the creamiest I’ve ever eaten(like the made them in the Southern States and brought them to Columbus), their only downfall was the hash-brown’s, they were a bit crispy for my taste but the eggs, grits and pancakes made up for that. I will definitely go here again!
