History

Established in 2008.

State of Face was started as a bridal business and has branched out to include makeup lessons, shopping trips to idealize your routine, makeup and light stying for photo/​video/​tv etc and to build business for established or up and coming companies and photographers. I have a point of view that is influenced by pop culture, vintage fashion and music, and iconic imagery. I love helping with artistic direction and creating an overall visual within the medium for which I am hired. I am also well-​versed in taking specific directions from clients. I have grown my portfolio of clients to many national corporations, production companies and top-​notch artist agencies.

Business Owner

With a degree in Theatre and an extensive background in Cosmetics Training, I come with a different set of experiences than most makeup artists. I have always been a colorful and fashion driven individual and fell in love with makeup while in college. I worked my way to become a Regional Education Manager in high-​end cosmetics for many years. In 2008, I launched State of Face to return to my true passion of creating beauty, instead of selling and training it. The business grows year after year to include newer services, updated products and understanding of the craft. I love working with clients who know what they love and others who have no idea :) Making a connection with a down-​to-​earth attitude that only could come from the Midwest makes State of Face a unique and comfortable experience that gets raves from the pickiest of people. State of Face Makeup Artistry is «From Ohio with Love». I live and have my in-​home studio near downtown Columbus with my husband, 2 dogs and cat.
