Ok, it doesn’t look like much. You might have to wait a bit for a table, but this place is a gem. The waitstaff is very friendly. Look in the kitchen and it looks like your mom and grandmother back there cooking it up. They make a lot of homemade items here. The fried chicken is the best. Daily specials are cheap and tasty.

Our favorite Friday night hangout. If you are looking for great homecookin’, this is the place for you. The place is nothing special — but definitely provides the old school diner feel(it is TINY inside — maybe 8 bar stools, and a total of 15 tables)? Kind of odd hours would be my only complaint. We tried to go by for a slice of pie one night and the place was closed at 8 something in the evening. INCREDIBLE broasted chicken, wonderful service(especially once they know you are a regular) :-), chicken livers are awesome, as is the swiss steak. Take a slice of pie to go.

Best country diner type in the city. Amazing broasted chicken livers, and I always get their roast beef manhattan, but with the tomato gravy… oh and mac and cheese. AHHHHYUM!!! Get the sweet tea, and sit back and watch the waitresses tell it like it is!
