Menu looks dated and food on display wasn’t bad but not as good as other places i’ve seen in food courts. The General Tso’s Chicken i ordered was really bad. Probably the worst i’ve ever had. Chicken was low quality and badly cooked. Sauce was dark black and really salty. Did not finish the meal and ended up throwing it away. There are not many places to eat Chinese food in the downtown area so i tried it. Never again. When asking them questions they were not helpful, even though they weren’t busy, they just wanted me to buy something and get going. No combos, just brown rice with and entrée.

I’m a super regular here as I work across the street. Consistency isn’t a strong point, but I absolutely love their chicken fried rice and Siam noodle. Nice folks, quick service, and always willing to cook up a fresh plate if you ask for something special. Good price and very generous portions.

This place is typical food court Chinese. The quality seems to be a little hit or miss and varies between mediocre and reasonably good. And this is from me visiting at a consistent time — peak lunchtime hr during the week. The food is sometimes dry. If I’m there I will typically get pad thai, as it seems to be more likely to be better quality more consistently than the other dishes… but maybe that’s just coincidence. Their Pad Thai is pretty decent on a good day, but the only reason I’d go there instead of down the street to Nida’s in North Market for their amazing Pad Thai is if the weather is crummy or I’m short on time, as the convention center is closer to my office.

Staff are from the old Siam at Bethel road. Foam plates and cups but my favorite Massaman Gai and Panang Beef in Columbus. As with any food court food you probably won’t be happy with the stuff from the steam trays during non peak(lunch) hours. Still go out of my way to get their massaman and panang.

«That place was a dump and half» said my friend after eating here. I might use different language but I have to agree. It might only be one dump though. I ordered the General Tso’s chicken and was not impressed. The quality of the meat was questionable and there was little to no broccoli to speak of. What was there was very low quality. I will not be visiting again.

I’ll give this slightly higher marks as I’m a regular and I think I get better service as a result. The portions are very generous.

Average Chinese Food. Siam Express is the epitomy of chinese food court restaurants. They have a staple menu without any creative choices. Pricing is good, and you get a decent lunch for under ten bucks. This is in the convention center foodcourt, be warned that the hours change often.
