Roosters

Great atmosphere and good people. The food is always hot and fresh. This is one of my favorite spots to dine and it’s an awesome place to watch the game!

I wanted to grab a quick lunch, so we stopped at Rooster’s on W. Broad St. Our hostess was polite and promptly took us to our table as soon as we arrived.
Shortly after we were seated our waitress came to our table with our menus, gave us a few minutes to look over what we wanted to order (even though we pretty much knew what we wanted).
We ordered fried pickles and fried mushrooms, a side Roosters salads with extra Roosters Sauce, 20 wings each with one set for garlic and the other with a little more kick (pun intended) with Donkey sauce.
The Roosters salads are always a big hit, especially with the extra dressing. Then, the mushrooms are a favorite of mine; always hot and delicious. The fried pickles go to my wife, who really enjoys the slightly bitter crunch of this veggie.
But, the main course, the chicken wings, with the bone-​in flavor, came to the table hot and crispy, which made for a hearty, lunch for the two of us.
The wings are not the greatest I’ve had. Therefore, the biggest knock for this Roosters restaurant Is that sometimes it seems that two or more sauces are actually mixed together, as if the wok or whatever bowl was used might not have been cleaned thoroughly after using it for one sauce to coat the wings before mixing a new batch of wings. Therefore the result is a mudded taste rather than a clean, distinct taste of the sauce ordered.
I enjoy looking around at the different signs that are posted throughout the restaurant. As customers read these humorous little «post-​it notes» make the wait time for food seem so much faster.
If you are wanting a quiet atmosphere for your dining experience, Roosters is not for you. But, if you are looking for a fun sports bar with good food and service at a decent price, Roosters will fit the bill.

If you want the best server, ask for LB — and don’t blame the servers if your food isn’t right or your order is messed up. Most of the girls work their butts off, it’s the kitchen help that could use some — well, help. The guys in the kitchen often seem too preoccupied with looking out into the restaurant area and less concerned about what they should be doing in the kitchen.

It was all fun and games until the little trollop they have hostessing decided she would rather hit on my boyfriend than ring up our food.
The food is great, but next time we go pick up take out I’ll be sure to go by myself since men are clearly too much of a distraction around here to get decent service.

Customer service is the most important thing while going out and I’m disappointed that I received the worst customer service in my life at this restaurant. It took about 15 minutes for me to be greeted at my table and to order drinks. I dined in and my order came out wrong. When I asked to get it fixed it became the biggest problem. A waitress insisted on escalating their mistake to their manager when I said it wasn’t that serious, that I wanted to simply get what I ordered without having to go through the manager on their mistake. When I got my bill, it was wrong so it had to be corrected. A lot of my time was wasted waiting around for them to fix their mistakes, it was just a disaster. I ordered a take out order and they got the order wrong. I called to get it corrected and Laura (the manager, I believe) acted in a very condescending manner. She sent me out with the wrong order and left something off my order. Laura expressed so much frustration towards me for all their mistakes and after so long she was not acting professional at all. In the end they still messed up my order and I experienced the worst customer service in my life. I do not recommend eating here if you are black, I have a feeling that Laura and her staff is racist.

Everything I’ve had here is good. I especially like the pizza. Their salads are also large and tasty. Of course everything chicken is great, wings, fingers, sandwich. Lots of nice TV’s.

I have been to Roosters a couple times prior but never to this location. I ordered 5 honey BBQ boneless wings, but the wings were dry and barely covered in sauce. I and another person ordered celery and ranch and never received them, despite being charged for them. Another person in my group asked for ketchup and never received it. I would understand if it was a busy evening, but it wasn’t. I strongly discourage anyone from visiting this Roosters location.

Great food. Good atmosphere. Mac and cheese bites are to die for. Tried the hot dog, this evening – better than most.

The clam chowder and lobster bisque were delicious; however, the wings were not seasoned well. The server was not friendly, which we very seldom encounter.

I’ve always had fantastic food as this location. This last time I had pizza and it was great. How do they get their thin crust to be so perfect? Service, food, all 5 stars.

If you want your favorite wings on any major event they reserve the right not have them available … Went to flyers they had great wings and I by the way did not alter their menu !!!

So our neighbor recommended that we try Roosters and this evening we called in for a carry out. Upon arriving home and looking at our quarter pound hamburgers with the works it resembled a piece of rubber with a piece of lettuce and tomato. It was the worst looking thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life. And when I called the restaurant and informed them that I would like to bring the food back and receive a refund on my debit card, I was informed that they did not give refunds but only a restaurant credit. Why would I ever want to return to a place that serves this type of food? Don’t waste your time. We ended up going to Burger King.

So I tried Roosters for the first time today, and as someone who really loves hot wings, I have to say that these wings were just ok. They were well-​sauced and of a good size, which I very much appreciated. However, the supposedly third hottest sauce wasn’t really any different from Frank’s Red Hot as far as I could tell. Also, I found the breading to be a bit on the heavy side. Also, there was something a bit weird about the ranch sauce in my opinion.

I have been to roosters multiple times. And all were disgusting. My last visit, I ordered fried pickles and BBQ wings. My cousin got chips and cheese with a chicken parm sand. My fried pickles were good, so we’re the chips and cheese. BUt the wings are just nasty. They were cold, too much sauce (I love wet wings), and the ratio with chicken and breading is not enough. My cousin tried to be nice and eat them. But he ate one and finally I sent them back to be taken off my bill. I would not recommend a roosters at all. Service was ok.

Went there with my sister-​in-​law for some cheap, quick eats one evening. We weren’t disappointed. It’s what you’d expect from Roosters, nothing too outstanding, but nothing really bad.
We shared a Veggie Sub and Veggie Pizza. Both were pretty solid and came out fast and hot. Pizza was cut into squares as they should be. The prices are reasonable for basic bar food. Service was the usual quick and friendly I’ve come to expect from them.

SINFUL! This place will give you heartburn for sure but the eats are worth it.
Really great chicken wings! It’s so fun to pick your own sauces — they’ve got plenty of options and you can mix em!
I almost melted when my chili cheese fries came to the table. They were frickin amazing!
Okay, okay. I know all ridiculously unhealthy thus far but I did try the salad. Not bad, not bad at all.

I love this place. Me and my coworkers come here every Friday. The servers are real nice and the food is usually very good. Since out work is so close, we’ve been going here every Friday for a long time and that’s not going to stop anytime soon. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Judging the rest of these reviews I should not go at dinner time and I got real lucky on this visit. Steve and I went there when he was getting his oil changed so it was around 1pm or so. It looked busy, but dispersed quickly and we were sat promptly. I don’t know what our servers name was, but she reminded me of the girl in the Transformer movies. We ordered a basket of onion rings, and fried pickles, I got the chicken burrito and he got a burger. We liked our food and our server wasn’t friendly, but she didn’t suck either, she kept watching us and didn’t make us wait for a thing and we did see her smile at the end. I mean for the price, the atmosphere, the decent service, and tasty hot food this was a great visit.

The service was awful, when we received the food it was just ok. Our wings were cold and we had to send them back. I have no desire to take my family back here again. I’m just glad there’s a Rooster’s near us now so we don’t have to come back to this place.

I think the food here is really good and reasonably priced. The waitresses are top notch and do a fantastic job. I like the wings, especially the boneless with Carolina Gold sauce.

I’ve been coming to this location over the last 7 years. Now while i have had good visits to horrible experiences. More horrible experiences than good hence the low rating.
The place is typically packed with wait time around and hour on chicken wings. Careless servers. Semi friendly staff and prices that may be above par value.
From wrong orders, missing items, servers not listening multiple times, asking for things numerous times, careless servers and a ok food. They get a two star. Minus the discrepancies id give them a 3.5 if possible but instead they get a 1.
I gotten drinks dumped on me via careless servers not paying attention, cold food, extremely long wait times wish no apologies. The experience just isnt that great yes they got many tvs but so does B-​Dubs and my personal favorite Buffalo Wings and Rings which has the most tvs and some are quite big!!!
If you want chicken wings i wouldn’t go here on my tab and all of my friend like BWR better than Roosters and B-​Dubs since I showed them. Would I recommend Roosters? Yeah if you want a beer at the bar and nothing else! Enough said…
