This vegan bakery is a gem in Columbus; I love everything about it. My only suggestion is that there be more menu items with no added sugar. These items already exist though, such as the hemp flax granola cake(which uses only dried fruit as sweetener), so it’s no problem.

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to write a review. This place is amazing. I’m a vegetarian and my husband is a vegan. Needless to say we love all animal cruelty free food. And I loveeee sweets. Our birthday cakes always come from PC, and even our weeding cake! To be honest, I haven’t had anything else from there, but after scrolling through the great reviews, I’ll definitely go pick something up:)

Here’s how it breaks down: A healthier, no-processed crap, alternative to your regular Oreo or Max & Erma’s cookies. Everything’s vegan, and everything tastes so darn good, especially for a bedtime snack! The cookies are quite large. I usually always get em freshly baked. Every so often, they’ve been baked the night before, so they come out good every time! They do a great business via orders — the pick-up table is always covered with good smelling boxes. The ladies that work here are always pleasant, smiles on their face, happy to help in any way. Of course, this is anyone with a gluten intolerance’s utopia. However, this shop is so freaking spot-on, their vegan goodies will shock your socks off!

Great gluten free and raw options! Friendly staff however I have only been twice since the location is a bit out of the way for me…

I ordered an almond cake with caramel icing for my husband’s birthday. When I realized we had more people coming to the party than expected I bought an additional peanut butter and chocolate cake. I also ordered 24 cut out sugar cookies. The cakes were the best I have ever eaten besides homemade and they were a huge hit!!! Very moist and flavorful and were simply and beautifully decorated. Everyone loved both cakes and the cookies. We love Pattycake Bakery. We’ve never had a single thing from here that wasn’t delicious! I recommend them to everyone I know and we will return again and again. The customer service has always been excellent as well.

This hidden gem-is phenomenal! I truly respect the concept and love of each piece of sugar recipe they make with love and heart! They will take any of their cookies and make you a homemade gigantic whoopie pie out of it! The icing is rich, yet fluffy and full of smiling goodness. The Raw Cheesecake-I HIGHLY recommend!!! No added sugar-and not rich at all, and pure enjoyment! The lemon cupcake-super lemony-but I LOVE lemon! So this is overload! The mini carrot cake Ginger cup cake was also great! I loved the Kombu-bottled tea! It’s a local made product-all natural fermented carbonated bottled drink. It’s a must try. Look into for more info.

Wow. I am so impressed by this place. First, the selection is HUGE. They offer tons of cupcakes, cookies, cakes, and various other baked goods. I got the snickerdoodle and chocolate cupcake. I am usually not a cupcake fan, but these are an exception. They are huge. Also the best cupcake I’ve ever had. I am not usually a chocolate fan either, but the cupcake was so moist and rich. The cooke was perfect as well. Not too crispy or soft. I will be back to try the other cookies and cupcakes. Finally, this is one of the best bakeries I have ever been to, and they’re vegan, incredible.

Pattycake Bakery, I love you. I’m sorry I was banging on your door 1 minute before opening time. I just have no patience when it comes to your sticky buns. I hope you can forgive me. Love, A customer who appreciates amazing vegan baked goods.

I feel compelled to break my Unilocal dry spell after I walked to Pattycake this weekend from my house up by Whetstone(over a mile) to get my husband a birthday cupcake. The lady behind the counter started to put the cupcake in a paper bag. It was hot outside and I obviously didn’t want the icing melting into the paper bag(why put cupcakes in paper anyway??) so I explained that I was walking and did she have anything she could put it in that would maintain the integrity of the cupcake. She said that she could put it in one of those cheapy plastic containers but she would have to charge me for it. I was really turned off after paying $ 3.95 for a non-gluten free cupcake, that I would have to pay an additional .75 for a plastic container that would immediately go into the recycle bin. But I did. Obviously. since the cupcake was for a special occasion and not for me. But the principle of the matter has bugged me ever since so I had to get it off my chest. The cupcake was delicious so my rating has nothing to do with the quality of the goods.

Patty cake is one of my favorite places in Columbus, I’m not a vegan but my best friend is so its nice that we get to indulge together. The sticky bun is literally the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life(and I’m a dessert connoisseur). They only have them on Saturdays and Sunday’s so make sure you grab a few to properly indulge

This bakery is amazing! I stopped here on a road trip and got a blueberry muffin, a whoopie pie, and some cookies. The chocolate chip cookies and tollhouse cookies are the best cookies I have ever eaten and believe me, I’ve eaten a lot of cookies. They are so thick, with gooey chips, and just the perfect amount of moisture. I love cookie dough so to me the best cookie is one that is really moist and gooey in the center. These are so delicious. Go, you can’t be disappointed.

«Wow!» would be an understatement for this bakery, all the desserts look delicious and are beautifully presented. Plenty of options of cookies, with cake by the slice, cupcakes, and a few other types of desserts as well. The girl who helped us out was very knowledgeable on the ingredients and how they make them too. Picked up some raw«cheese“cake to-go and cannot wait to enjoy later. Everything here is vegan. :)

Believe the hype. Pattycake is sooooo good. I actually let out a shriek of happiness while eating their chocolate cupcake. You would never know it’s vegan unless someone told you. It’s super tiny on the inside, so that’s a bit of a downer. Not a place you would sit down and chat with a friend at. But really, this place is so yummy it doesn’t matter much.

I have been going here for years, because it’s such a damn cool place. Vegan bakery with gluten free options! I ordered an orange creamsicle cake for a friend’s babyshower. It was delicious, without being overwhelming. And not TOO sweet. I’m picky about my cake. Their decorations are great for their bakery and for the cake. All around an adorable, thoughtful, delicious bakery. I’m not sure if this is still a thang, but I’m pretty sure it’s cash under 10 dollar purchase(it’s been awhile since I’ve stopped in for a lemon muffin — what’s wrong with me, why would I abandon such a good thing)

My friend was like you ever been to Pattycake Bakery and I was like, «no»! He turned the car around and went back. I walked in tried the chocolate one. Absolutely Ridiculous, Super Dank chocolate cupcakes. Killed it seconds, effin orgasmed all up in my mouth!!! Walked out spending $ 21.00 on a bunch of cupcakes. Worth every penny, I’m gonna go broke here!

An excellent and very affordable vegan bakery. What a place! I walked in and it felt like heaven with so many vegan treats. They’re so good that I don’t think most non-vegans would be able to taste any difference. $ 2 sticky buns? Stop right there. Amazing! So intensely good. And did I mention, completely vegan? I couldn’t decide what to get, so I filled up a box with as many things as I could eat in one afternoon(on a road trip), before the heat took over the delicious goodies. There was a slice of cake flavored with lavender that was incredible. Very moist cake, delectable frosting and not too much of it, so it wasn’t overly sweet. Next was a blueberry muffin. It was huge and very flavorful. Light and soft inside, but with an excellent crumbly top. The last treat was a whoopie pie that was also magical. I picked one with a pumpkin spice cake and they had others with different flavors and fillings. There were so many other things I wanted to try, but I’ll have to save the exploring for another time. I also have to say their service was top-notch. Very friendly and genuine. What a place. I look forward to coming back sometime!

Do you ever read an old Unilocal review and kind of hate yourself? I just read my Pattycake Bakery review from 02⁄2011 and decided it was time for an update. I still love Pattycake, but after trying many different items over the past few years, I had to knock off a star. The sticky buns are my favorite item on the menu. In my opinion, the vanilla sticky bun is the best, but they have different flavors like whiskey & pecans and orange. The sticky buns are only offered on Saturday. Be sure to get there early while they are still warm! I’ve never really liked any of the muffins from Pattycake. The cupcakes have a thick, hard layer of icing. The icing isn’t *bad* but don’t expect traditional creamy cupcake icing. The cookies are pretty hit or miss for me. My favorites are the chocolate XO and classic tollhouse. I’ve ordered a few cakes for special occasions and they have always looked and tasted great!

I am not exactly a health nut, but I do not believe in serving to other people things that I would not eat myself. So when it came to selecting a wedding cake, I went with Pattycake because I don’t eat sweets topped with artificial colors, made with cheap ingredients, or fake crap of any sort. So… I met with Zoë, and she was awesome to work with and really helpful. I decided to go with cupcakes. There are really a lot of flavors, frostings, and three sizes to choose from when you custom order cupcakes with them. We landed on chocolate, vanilla, carrot, hazelnut & coffee, orange cardamon, and lemon & blueberry. Jennie did the delivery to the reception location while the ceremony was going on(so they didn’t sit very long) and did a great job also displaying the cupcakes as well. I think the delivery charge was like $ 8. The guests LOVED these cupcakes!!! They were gorgeous and simple and so fresh and i got a lot of compliments on them. I took the extras to work and they were gone in a flash! Seriously, Pattycake does wedding cupcakes like nobody else! Best $ 500 dessert I ever bought. :-)

We stopped into Pattycake after having lunch at Lavash, since it’s right next door. The girl behind the counter told it’d been around since 2007, but I guess I just never noticed it for the little time that I lived in the area. I’d say that’s definitely for the better because had I known it was in walking distance, I probably would have been gorging on baked goods weekly. The shop itself is pretty tiny, and the selection isn’t huge, but everything looked delicious. I ended up grabbing a snickerdoodle cookie, a lemon cupcake, and one of their new treats which was a walnut chocolate chip cookie sandwich with a cream in the middle. They also offered one with chocolate cream surrounded by cherry chocolate chip cookies. I’d say the pricing was fairly reasonable if not a little expensive, but I’ve come to accept that with bakeries around here. Of the three desserts we grabbed, my favorite was definitely the cookie sandwich. I could eat that thing all day. The cream wasn’t overly sweet, and the cookies were delicious. I also really liked the lemon cupcake, however, it is super lemony, but that’s fine with me. The snickerdoodle was just okay. My girlfriend thought it was a bit too hard(almost stale-ish), and I’d somewhat agree, but the flavor was still pretty good. This is definitely a great bakery, and they had a lot more items I wanted to try like a peanut butter and chocolate cake which I had only noticed after I had finished paying(Thank God). It’s not really a convenient spot for me, but if I’m in the area, I’ll stop in. If you live up this way, or find yourself in Clintonville, you have to try it out.
