Once Upon A Child

Very disappointed. The store is jammed packed with items… because their prices are too high. I brought stuff to sell, mostly name brand items (NOT Carters & Gymboree) in new and almost new condition, and for the upcoming season, and they bought very little… the problem with that is that the stuff they didn’t buy was much nicer than anything they had on the racks! Most of the stuff looks like garage sale quality, $ 3 – 4 for a used Carter shirt, um no thanks??? and they weren’t even in great condition? Someone is doing a poor job running that store. I also asked an associate about a high end child’s brand… and she had never even heard of it?! How do you work in children clothing and not hear of it?! I will not be returning to this location. If I want to spend $ 3 – 5 on a Carters t shirt for school Ill just go to the clearance rack at the store and buy it new for that price! SMH

This store really has nothing going for it. Friendly customer service, not likely. Very few employees are friendly there. I’ve gone to this store regularly, as I live very close to it, I’m never impressed. I went yesterday and counted 6 people behind the counter, I waited for at least two minutes to be checked out when finally the girl with green streaks through her hair, who had been standing in front of me at the counter the entire time playing with a zipper on a piece of clothing she was holding, decided to acknowledge my existence and allow me to pay for my items. I have repeatedly put clothes back on racks here because the lines have been too long as they have one person running a register while five others run around in back. They act as though they are doing you a favor. My visit yesterday was the straw that broke the camel’s back, unfortunate.

This is a nice store but their prices are too high in my opinion. I would much rather do the garage sale thing than come here. I guess this place is for those who don’t have time on Friday or Saturday mornings. Everything is second hand here but their prices are above the average garage sale. This place is good for the winter or for the super busy. Some of their stuff looks new but I saw a lot of beaten up items that I wouldn’t buy unless they were a dollar. Too rich for my blood here.
The good thing is that they are conveniently located and they cater to kids and their parents.
