Noodles & Company

Better than fast food, but not by much. The food tastes very processed and cheap in quality. Prices are cheap, but it’s cheap to make a bowl of pasta yourself and healthier.

I find myself going here more than I used to because it’s fast, easy, and across the street from my gym. Which means if I work out and don’t feel like making lunch I can get something mostly healthy and get my kids mac’n’cheese. I usually really like what I get (love the pad thai!) but I think the beef tastes very… frozen dinner and recently I’ve been pretty unimpressed with the amount of cheese to sauce ratio on my kids mac’n’cheese (no complaints from them!).
So this is a solid place for a quick meal, and I occasionally get a variety to take new parents, but it doesn’t overwhelm me with awesome.

I ordered the Japanese pan noodles, with tofu (I think). It wasn’t bad it was just too salty for me. They obviously put too much soy sauce. I want to like this place so I’ll give them another chance in the near future.

Noodles and Company always prepares their food promptly. I love their Penne Rosa with Parmesan crusted chicken and Parmesan cheese. Their snicker doodle cookies are also super yummy!

While I have enjoyed the Noodles and Company location on Reed, this one has a very loud employee that talks and laughs non-​stop. Doesn’t make for a nice dining experience.

I always wonder why this place is SO empty! Well… where do I start? The menu is incohesive and confusing. Yes, they have noodles, but the «& Company» really threw me off. Sandwiches, soups, salads, small, regular, with meat, without meat??? Too many choices! I expected great noodles and great noodles only, dagnabbit!
I ordered Japanese Pan Noodles and the dish was just so-​so. It had a taste that I can only describe as inauthentic and nearly tasted, dare I say * gasp * microwaved (but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t…or maybe it was!?!) Again, if the main ingredient in your dish is in the name of the restaurant, that dish better be damn good!
Kudos to the cashier, though, who gave us free dessert for being 1^st time customers. The Rice Krispy treat was truly stellar! (If only they were called «Rice Krispy Treats & Company» there would be truth in advertising and all would be right with the world.)

Yep, fan of this place too. Havent been to this location in a long time given that we dont live in this area where the restaurant is. We stopped in here Sunday after church for lunch. Not too many people in the restaurant, but that is okay. We ordered our food and quickly found a table to sit at. Within a few minutes our food was brought out to our table from the gal behind the counter. She was very pleasant and made sure we had everything that we needeed. Food was delicious as always. Definitely a place to go to if you’ve never tried them out before!!!

I havent been able to figure out if Im a fan or not. The first time I went here and got the mac & cheese it was dry beyond repair. Adult mac & cheese tends to me drier and less cheesy I guess. The second time I ordered it w/​extra cheese and it came out way too cheesy. The guy on the phone (the second time i ordered it) seemed rude and said ‘you sure you want extra cheese? .ok…” I told him it was way too dry last time and to just put a little more in. I guess he thought he was being smart to screw me over by making it so cheesy it was inedible. It was practically a bowl of cheese sauce with macaroni dumped in.
Any hope of me liking this chain is probably ruined. Probably wont be going back here for some time if at all. I hate when people mess with our food and think it’s funny. It says a lot about management too. But I guess tihngs happens sometimes.

Very similar to Fresh 50 downtown, but in a slightly more expensive chain version, with more accommodating hours that also serves beer. Fresh 50 is better food, but N&Co wins for convenience & options.
I stopped here since I was away from home and didn’t have time to make the round trip home before my volleyball game. I’ve only been to one other N&Co, and even that only once, but both times have been so good that I feel like I should make it a higher priority on my food selection list.
Firstly, I’m kicking myself for not spending the extra $ 1 to get the larger dish. Not that the smaller one isn’t enough, but I wouldn’t have needed to pack a lunch for work tomorrow! I had the Japanese Pan Noodles with the recommended marinated steak added in. The veggies all tasted fresh and flavorful, especially the bean sprouts (yum!) The steak complimented the veggies rather than overpowering the flavor. Nicely done.
Secondly I have to say something about the fountain drink machine. It’s a touch screen device that lets you choose the type you want (looks to be about 12 choices) and then will dispense whatever you choose, and has the ice maker built in! Too cool! It wouldn’t be as good for a large volume of people as a traditional setup, but serves this low key location well. See picture added to business profile.

Power was out in the neighborhood and place was packed. The service was great for the high level of stress, but the food came out slow. The Pad Thai wasn’t the best that I have ever had. Wasn’t very flavorful and pretty bland. I would go back, but not a must go to place. We used their Carry out service. However, the Coca Cola freestyle machine is pretty cool, but a little messy. The button was sticky. The Peach Sprite was awesome.

For a quick lunch in this area, Noodles is a pretty solid choice. It’s a chain, sure– but it’s fast, cheap, and the food is decent. This one is also right next to a Half-​Price Books, so there’s a plus in terms of location.
I think their Italian is probably the strongest side of their menu; the penne rosa and Tuscan linguini are both quite tasty, as well as the med salad and sandwich. The peanut sauté is also good, although their other Asian noodles are sub-​par at best in my experience. I’ve never tried their American stuff, though dining mates have assured me the stroganoff is worth trying.
But honestly, the main reason Noodles gets a recommendation from me: one of the very few restaurants that doesn’t screw over vegetarians in pricing options. By default, everything is veg! You must pay more for meat (or tofu)! This makes so much more sense to me, and it means the dishes are designed to be flavorful and filling without the protein, even though it can be added later. This conceit works well for their noodle/​pasta-​centric approach, and I like it a lot.

I am seroiusly PICKY when it comes to asian food. Haiku, Lemongrass and Thai Orchid are faves. So it was with trepidation that I accompanied the gang here. Well, I was pleasantly surprised…
I had the truffle mac n cheese with portobello schrooms, very savory. The star was the Thai Curry soup though. Yellow curry, coconut milk, spinach, chinese cabbage, mushrooms, tomatoes, red onions n rice noodles. Very good! I like to be able to separate the tastes in a dish, I like to taste exactly what’s in it and I could. It wasn’t 5 star but it could certainly hold it’s own as far as thai flavors go. Although lemongrass wasn’t mentioned, I thought I could taste it. All said, the soup was very tasty.
The mac n cheese was good, I could pick out the savoriness of truffle flavoring. There was a good amount of schrooms in there too.
The store looked clean and the service was speedy. The only gripe I have is; the silverwear wasn’t spotless. I had to ask for another set which came out looking like the first, yuk :(
I’ll give them a 2 thumbs up and I will go back. This time I hope the silverwear is a lot cleaner.
The picky kid enjoyed his dish and his mother’s lol, that oughta tell you something.

I have an ex who used to work here and I swear, I think her quitting involved sexual harrassment. I can’t say that for sure, but I know she used to complain about some pretty forward behavior from superiors. That was years ago, and I doubt those people still work there.
I went for the first time in at least two years the other night with my sister on our way home from a talk on damage being done to our water supplies by things like fracking, pharmaceutical waste, etc. The store was about fifteen minutes from closing and I asked the dude at the counter if we’d be putting them back by stopping in. He said «you’re the customer, you pay the bills.»
I told him how long it had been since I visited and he made some recommendations. I ended up going with the Indo, a dish featuring a spicy peanut sauce. That reminds me I have some leftovers down in the fridge… yummy. All dishes are available in either a regular or small. The small is 4 oz. and the regular is 8 oz. but the price difference is only a dollar. I recommend getting the regular so you can take some home. Don’t eat the whole thing. Americans have a problem with that. They DO have beer and wine, albeit an extremely limited selection.
So the dude up front, Brandon, was super friendly. Really great customer service for a place like this. He introduced himself and was very courteous. Above and beyond kinda service. To get that kind of service is a bit unusual to begin with, let alone when two people walk in and are keeping you from getting some closing duties knocked out early.

I have to begin by saying that I feel weird reviewing a chain restaurant. But I love this place so much, and I have been coming here (to this specific location) since it opened and have never really had any real letdowns here. Someone mentioned that there isn’t really a «core menu» of signature-​type entrees, but I think that’s why I like it so much. The variety of the different pasta and noodle dishes is really different and fun.
I have yet to order anything here I didn’t enjoy. I love the Japanese Pan Noodles, which is a slightly spicy dish with udon noodles, shittake mushrooms, bean sprouts, carrots, broccoli, and cilantro. It’s good with shrimp or with beef. The Mushroom Stroganoff is awesome, especially with their braised beef. The tomato basil bisque is delicious as a starter to warm up with. The pot stickers are also really good. They are filled with a mixture of chicken and veggies, and the dipping sauce is great if you like spicy.
I actually have this place on speed dial on my phone (don’t tell anyone). I’ve always had prompt and friendly service when I come here, which has been enough times to know what I’m talking about: D

I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants– but Noodles is down the street from my work– so I tend to come here a lot. The staff is very friendly and I know I can come here for quick and reliable service.
Almost every time I come here, I get the Penne Rosa with feta cheese– I like that. I made the mistake of ordering the pad thai once– I recommend sticking to Thai restaurants for that! :)
For the location and price– I think Noodles is a good spot for a quick lunch in the Worthington/​Clintonville area.

Urg. I hate that I like this place. Not only is it a national chain, but it doesn’t even have a specialty, like Chipotle or some of the better fast-​casual chains. Its menu is a mishmash of American, Asian and Italian dishes, tenuously linked by pasta.
Well, if I want pad thai, there are plenty of Thai restaurants around here. And if I want spaghetti, Carfagna’s does it a million times better.
But Noodles & Co. has a couple of dishes you don’t see very often on menus. One is stroganoff, which is very good here. The other (and this is so embarrassingly simple that I can’t believe I pay for it) is buttered noodles. Yep, just a bowl of buttered egg noodles, with some grated cheese on top. That tastes so good by itself, but then when you add a perfectly seasoned, juicy, tender chicken breast on top, it’s even better. But what puts it over the top for me is to add kalamata olives. I love kalamata olives, but usually the only way to get them at a restaurant is to order a Greek salad, and then you get one, maybe two. At Noodles, you get a huge handful. Probably at least 20. For a 75-​cent upcharge, you really can’t beat that, considering how expensive olives are at the grocery store.
Oh, also, they have sriacha on the tables, which adds another level of deliciousness to this dish.
So yeah. The place is called Noodles, so it better be able to get a plain bowl of noodles right, and it really, really does.
In addition, I like this location because it represents an acknowledgment that people do live, eat and shop within I-​270 in Columbus. What I mean by that is, most of the development over the past 20 years in Columbus has been on or outside the Outerbelt. But this Noodles is part of the expansion of the Graceland shopping center, which up until a few years ago was a wasteland, but has been revitalized to extreme success with a Target and a large number of new stores and restaurants. So I frequent these businesses as often as possible to show developers that not all of us had fled the central city.

Noodles & Company is a great restaurant when you want to get good food and you want to get it fast.
A lot of the dishes I feel like I could make myself at home, but why would I want to when I can just go down the street and get it from Noodles and Company? Its like getting a home cooked meal without having to do any dishes.
I like the order-​at-​the-​counter-​but-​get-​served-​at– your– table atmosphere. And the employees are paid by the hour, so you don’t leave a tip.
I recommend ordering a trio. I get the Pasta Fresca with grilled chicken breast and a side salad. Sometimes I get the fresh ciabatta roll which goes nicely with any dish.
